I started to look at the menu and I mentioned coffee and the person behind the counter mentioned VietNamese coffee with two different choices. Once I figured out what she said so quickly, I picked the puff cream option. The store seemed really clean and it's so bright and the person greeted me so cheerily, it almost didn't seem like Manteca. The drink was finished quickly and it was a big portion. I finished what I could in the store and didn't take it with me when I left. It was quite good. She said that it was strong, but it was typical for VietNamese coffee. Certainly, it was a new, interesting combination for me.

My wife and I come here at least twice a week, sometimes more, and we've been coming since they opened their doors earlier this year. What keeps bringing us back is simple: the COFFEE. The flavor, quality, and consistency are on another level. We've tried plenty of local coffee shops and bigger chains, and Eliyanna is still the one we crave the most. My wife and I started coming here throughout her pregnancy, so it's actually really cool that we've watched the shop grow while our own family was growing too. We also saw the owner throughout her pregnancy, and now she's had her baby and is already back working and taking care of the shop. The owners are genuinely sweet, down-to-earth people, and one of the things we appreciate most is that they actually remember their regular customers. That kind of personal service is hard to find. Our second favorite coffee spot is Bennet's Coffee in Stockton, mainly because we can buy their coffee beans and use them for espresso at home. I REALLY wish Eliyanna sold their beans because we would absolutely buy them! If they ever start selling bags of their coffee, we'll probably be some of the first customers buying them. We also used to regularly go to House of Mokha since it's only minutes away from us. They're still good, and their pastries are delicious -- very sweet, but definitely worth trying -- but when it comes strictly to the coffee itself, Eliyanna wins for us by miles. House of Mokha feels a little more like a busy social hangout, while Eliyanna has that smaller, cute, welcoming neighborhood coffee-shop atmosphere that we really enjoy. If I had to give Eliyanna one area for improvement, it would be the food selection. I wish they had more warm breakfast options. They have some simple items like avocado toast, but even adding things like bagels, breakfast sandwiches, or a few easy grab-and-go breakfast options would make this place nearly impossible to beat. Sometimes they do get SUPER busy, but that should tell you something. It's worth the wait. If you're someone who normally just goes to Starbucks, Dutch Bros, or McDonald's for coffee, try supporting a local coffee shop like this instead. The difference in quality is noticeable, and you're supporting people in your own community. For anyone in the 209 who actually enjoys good coffee -- or even someone who hasn't really gotten into coffee yet -- give Eliyanna Cafe a try.
