I've tried other doggy daycares to know this is the one! My only complaint I wish they had a camera monitoring system to offer greater pet parent peace of mind. Either way my dog Roxy looks forward to going. read more

We were living in Atlanta for a year and Central Bark was the closest daycare facility to my work. When we visited the facility before bringing the dogs, the staff were extremely kind and helpful with showing us around and answering our questions. The facility and the staff were absolutely amazing for our two Great Dane boys. They would match the play group with their personality and activity, which they would come home tired and happy from a fun day. They also loved every staff member and were always happy to see them when they arrive! One of our pups had surgery and couldn't stay home after the first couple weeks due to our work, but their "Day and Play" program is exceptional for needing to be away from other dogs until medically cleared. Despite being alone, he had a buddy throughout the day for low-level play time and enrichment to keep him busy. We highly recommend taking your dogs to Central Bark in Atlanta! We honestly wish we could've picked them up and take them with us to our new home destination. Even if your dog can't be with other dogs for some reason, they will not be bored! We miss them dearly! read more

We decided to try CBA for Zara. As a puppy she had a lot of energy and the places we were sending her to weren't cutting it. We started with puppy assessment and then the no-commitment month of daycare, and Zara absolutely loved it. Given that this was a membership based program and I had to kore or less commit to a day, I took some time to sign up but finally gave in. We even enrolled her in circuit training to get all her energy out when she's there. A few notes: * pickup and drop off is a breeze, as the reception is always well staffed even with a constant flow of people. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. * the facility is clean, staff are friendly and professional and they have a lot of play areas for the dogs * circuit training is amazing. Zara loved it.. we got a detailed report and videos and she looked like she was enjoying herself to the max. * it's been easy to adjust Zara's days as needed through a phone call or email. Since you are charged every week, you can either ask them to fit you in on another day that week if your schedule changes or just have that credit build up - to use for daycare, grooming or boarding. * they offer personal training as well if you want them to help you out with some behaviors, commands etc. Overall, we really like this place. The staff knows Zara when they see her and she is excited to go to CBA. We've even gotten her on to two days a week since she likes it so much. Btw: they have some parking spots around their facility but a lot of place to park on the street (it's not busy so that works out) especially for drop off/pick up at the busy times. They also offer grooming services and a mini store where you can get tags, treats etc. read more

We have been bringing our dog here for daycare for about two months now. He always has a great time and comes back extremely tired. We have never had an incident with any of the other dogs or staff. A few things sold us on this place when we initially visited (unannounced, at that) and still today: -the facility is humongous. There's lots of options for both indoor and outdoor play which also aids with temperature and climate control for Atlantas crazy weather. -it is very clean and typically always smells clean. Our dog rarely comes back smelling like "kennel". -playgroups are organized by size and temperament of the dogs. They're not just all sitting around in a big room together. -they offer, for an additional fee, circuit training with a professional. An extremely detailed report is provided with what your dog does well and where improvement is needed. -reception is always staffed. Dropoff and pickup are so efficient. Only once I had to wait and it was because multiple people arrived at the same time. The online booking system works well but a few times when verbally booking with a person, the reservation didn't make it officially into the system. Wednesdays tend to be their busiest day. They ask you to commit to a standing appointment, visiting once a week on the same day. I can see why that is beneficial for the dogs forming a pack, etc. but also hard to work out with our work schedules, travel, etc which changes from week to week. So far, it hasn't been an issue to make our booking on a weekend for that coming week. We recently received an email that they are moving to a membership based system effective 6/1 so that might change things. Overall, can't say enough good things! Excellent place for high energy dogs providing respite for their owners, and older/lazy resident dog, alike! read more

We recently went to puppy hour at Central Bark and had the best time! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, organized, and clearly so comfortable working with young pups. The space felt clean and safe, which made it easy to relax and enjoy watching all the puppies interact. The playgroups were well supervised, and it was obvious they pay close attention to puppy personalities and energy levels. Our pup came home happy, tired, and clearly well-socialized -- always the best sign! We'll definitely be back for more Puppy Hour fun. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build confidence and social skills in their little one. read more

Kind and loving staff team. Always take great care of our dog whether it's doggie daycare or grooming services! Thank you!

Yorkie cut with nail grinding add on: $45 + $10 I love bringing my dog here for their grooming services. I haven't tried out their day care so I can't really speak to that. I have been very pleased every time I have picked my baby up from his bath and grooming. They do a really good job every single time. To me, consistency is very important and they never seem to disappoint. I've been to numerous other doggy salons and this is the best one I have been to so far in Atlanta that has pretty reasonable pricing. This is my 3rd time here and I will continue to come here as long as their grooming services continue to stay consistent. They are also very professional and accommodating to your requests & needs. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good grooming place for your pet. Especially if you are like me and have had difficulty finding a place that provides consistent service. read more

The staff are excellent here. My pup has gone to daycare once a week, groomed once and boarding for 4 days & is always well taken care of. We take our Pom Andre in for a grooming about every six weeks and they do a great job! The reception area is nice and open and well laid out, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. They even remember his name. He must get treated well as he's not apprehensive about going. Always gets text when he's ready for pickup. I've recommended them to many other dog owners and have heard no complaints! read more

I took my puppy to the free puppy hour on Saturdays from the week I got her until she was too old for the program, now she has been going once a week for about 10 weeks. The staff has always been very nice, and my dog absolutely loves coming here, and is always tired and happy when she comes home. I do slightly wish they had cameras, but they do livestream the Puppy Power Hour, so you can see a little bit about how their handlers work and what their playspaces look like. I also recommend the puppy hour for anyone with a new puppy- my dog is super comfortable and confident around all dogs, and I think it was a major factor in that. I've only done the one groom that was included in the daycare package I got, but I've had them do her nails, and they were really impressive: short as possible without getting the quick at all. I'd highly recommend this location! read more

Central Bark puts the 'do' in doodle! Our Que is a mini labradoodle but she seems to gain 100 pounds of strength whenever we try to get her into the bathtub. We turned to Central Bark to start grooming her early on as a puppy and they have always done a fur-nomenal job! Every doodle parent's worst nightmare is getting their four legged baby back and having them "poodled" - Central Bark really listened to what we asked for and has exceeded our expectations in keeping our girl looking more lab than poodle! Que has really challenging fur - it is very thin and will blow in the wind. Makes for adorable pictures but can be hard to shape/trim - the groomers here are seasoned professionals who we now trust whole-heartedly. Only downside is, they do such a great job, that they book up far in advance so my advice is to make an appointment way ahead of time! read more

BEWARE: Central Bark double dips when charging for grooming services. I dropped my English Springer Spaniel (female, 60lbs) off for a grooming last Friday and was charged $65 for a FULL GROOM SERVICE which per the website includes bath, nail trim, ear clean, and anal expression (per the website). I was fine with this as this is what I expected. Then I was charged an additional $55 for the Furminator Deluxe (which is NOT LISTED ON THE WEBSITE SO I have no clue what the difference is and why it's basically the equivalent of the full groom)! When I ask the staff in person upon pick up and call after it's very apparent no one can distinguish what that charge was for. Historically it's been $25 - $35 which is was also fine with, but $55?! Mind you, my dog maybe 60lbs in weight but she's not a lab or golden, etc....so again beware when dropping your dog off for grooming services as they charge what they want... ******* Update: I want to note Nick, the Groomer, does a great job and I've always been pleased with his work. read more

Dropped my pup off this morning and I'm already impressed. Ashley, the girl up front was super sweet and the place itself was very clean (very important to see as a first time customer). I am so excited to pick up my pup because I have he's in good hands. I've had horrible past experiences with other groomers so I am happy to have found this place! *UPDATE 10/17/17: last time I got a mini groom and today my doodle got a full groom and he looks AMAZING! I showed them a picture and they did exactly what I wanted. Everyone is so sweet there, which I really appreciate. My dog smells so good I can't stop smelling him (yes he is getting annoyed with me). HIGHLY recommend this place, it is so difficult to find a good groomer you trust and like. read more

I took my dog here for grooming. We brought her here from as a puppy for puppy power hour and wanted to support them during the pandemic when we stopped bringing her to daycare. Her grooming has since gotten significantly worse. It started with her grooming resulting in jagged edges around her face. Her last grooming appointment had this AND her nails getting cut so short that the blood vessel in her nails was exposed at least once on each of her paws :(. Luckily my husband and I have experience treating animals so we know how to dress her wounds, but i can't imagine if it was someone without that knowledge. I loved them for daycare, but I will be looking for another groomer. read more

My westie puppy loves going to Central Bark! We take her here for doggy day care, grooming, and overnight stays. The staff does a terrific job of treating our puppy like she's theirs. The facility is large and CLEAN! They have 4 play areas inside and 3 outside with baby pools. The dogs are split into groups based on size and temprament. Our puppy comes home from day care exhausted from all the playing! We've only had 1 haircut (she's 8 months old), but it looks great. Without us really knowing what we wanted, Central Bark cut her hair exactly how we imagined it (I've uploaded pics). Central Bark is our go to doggy day care! We drive out of the way and past other dog day cares to go here - that's how great they are! Thanks so much Central Bark for treating our puppy like a princess! :) read more

Central Bark has an incredible staff that takes great care of my dog twice a week. He's a pit mix and needs to burn off a lot more energy than I could possibly accommodate, but every time he comes home from Central Bark, he's happy and relaxed (and sleepy!). These people clearly love their work and love the dogs in their care. Most importantly, I know my pup is safe when I take him here for the day. Highly recommended! read more

This review is only for their grooming services, as I've never used their boarding services. With that said, all of the staff is pleasant, especially Caren, and makes my little pup so happy to be there. Caren is wonderful with our hyper furbaby and, considering she's an experienced dog trainer (SN: and personal trainer), she is the only person I've requested to groom him since we started taking him here a year ago. This is important to us that we leave our pup with a skilled, but also caring and informed individual for his grooming as our pup had a terrible grooming experience a little over a year ago and has growled and barked at strangers ever since. He's also a little reactive to other dogs while on leash. Working on that. Fortunately for me, Caren and I have the understanding that her unsolicited training tips are by all means welcome! Caren is super detailed oriented and, before our first appointment, she went over the cut length options and I showed her pictures on Pinterest to describe what I was looking for. If you can't tell, this type of stuff is new to me as I'm a fairly new dog owner. Our pup has only been to 2 other groomers before Caren and neither of them presented me with this option. Ever since, Caren knows exactly what we wanted. My husband and I have different preferences and she knows which length he likes and which I like without need for review. Sometimes, she's with another pup when we drop ours off or my dad will take him for us and we can leave expecting "the usual" knowing that when we return, he'll be squeaky clean with a fresh cut and bandana to top it off! We always do the full groom which starts at $45. For our 11 pounder, our totals come to $49 + tip. This includes a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, gland expression, blow out, brush out, and full body haircut. They have a detailed service menu on their website and it includes a la carte options and a mini groom. Our pup is usually ready between 4-6 hours after drop-off, which gives me plenty of time to accomplish to-dos and run home in the meantime. The groomings take place in a room off to the side of the waiting area, which is great so that your pup doesn't have to mix with dirty dogs there for daycare. Of course, that is only a reality if your dog isn't staying for daycare. The waiting area is large, clean, and is stocked with food, treats, and pet supplies. There's also a clean bathroom near the entrance and hand sanitizer available as well. Their front lawn is surprisingly clean, considering I potty our pup before and/or after appointments and I'm sure other customers do too. They also have a trashcan outside to dispose of waste and have provided me with a poop bag when I realized I didn't have any on me. Every time I've called and left a message, I receive a call back, and they leave detailed messages and are on top of keeping up with vaccination records, which should be the standard, but you'd be surprised with the establishments that lack in this area. We couldn't be happier with Central Bark + Caren, especially our little pup! read more

Love bringing my dog here for her quarterly grooming. Like the fact that when I call, they know my dog and what services she usually gets. Thanks for treating my dog like family. read more

I have been looking for both a boarding area and a doggy day care for my two golden retrievers. They are so full of energy it just doesn't seem right for them to sit at home all day and be bored. I did some research through Yelp and Google reviews and settled on Central Bark because of its location and ease of booking. The space looks small from the outside but there are multiple rooms when you go in. When you first think about boarding your pup here, you have to go through 2 observation periods where they test your dog first with humans then with different dogs with different energy levels. If they are compatible then hooray you're all set to start boarding and doggy daycaring. They give you a full assessment of how they did and what they were able to tolerate including a full grade at the end. Luckily our dogs passed! There are many dogs that come here. We dropped them off at 7:30AM and there were tons of other dogs coming through. They had all sorts of sizes and all breeds. They require all their dogs to be vaccinated and up to speed including flea and tick control meds. If you would like to have your dog get a snack in the middle of the day, you can sign up for it when you first walk in. They also sell all sorts of dog treats and dog food (including pill pockets) if you needed to grab anything on the way out. I found the staff to be polite, courteous and seeming to be people who enjoy their work. They also do grooming but I have not used that yet. When you visit the place for the first time, ask to take a walk around the premises. The indoor areas were temperature controlled. They have crates and also "luxury" sleeping areas which are open and a little more expensive if you plan to have your dogs board there. They also have an outdoor play area and they decide where to have the dogs play depending on the temperature. I look forward to working with them more. Apparently Central Bark is a national chain. You have to fill out a form before you start there which you can complete online. I encourage you to do that as soon as possible so you don't forget! They don't have much parking but you're just dropping off your dogs anyway so that isn't an issue. Slow down when you get near because it's easy to miss then you have to drive around the block to get back to this little secret area. read more

I would not recommend this place at all. I was an out of town visitor who brought my show dog with me on a business trip because I was giving her to a professional handler to take her on the show circuit. I asked them to board her for one day - from 9:00AM until 4:30PM. I told them they could put her in a private kennel and I would even pay the overnight fee although she wasn't staying over night. They refused to take her because she wasn't spay. Hello, she is a show dog, she can't be spay and why would she have to be spay to stay in a private kennel by herself. Heck I would have given them $100, but they didn't even bother to ask what I would pay. That's right, they would even take a little 12 lb dog for a few hours, totally no flexibility at all. read more

Great customer service! Love being greeted with a smile as I walk in. Took my 4 month toy poodle here to be groomed and she came out looking so cute with pink bows in her hair. I was allowed to drop her off and run some errands and they called me when they were done. I also got a tour of the place for doggy day care and it was so clean and even smelled decent for a doggy place. I will definitely be back to try out the day care and would recommend this place to my friends and family. read more

Our dog and our family love Central Bark! He has been going to daycare here once a week and sometimes twice for three years. We also have boarded him here several times. The staff are patient and kind and really know the dogs and how they behave. They genuinely seem to enjoy the dogs. When we say "We're going to Central Bark!", our dog perks up and runs to the car. Awesome! Love it! They really care about our dog and they take great care of him. Everytime we drop off our pup (weekday mornings), he goes running toward Abby who always greets us with a smile. The facilities are clean and they post all sorts of fun pictures of the dogs on social media. The location is super convenient for us and parking is easy, too. I would give a full 5 stars if they opened earlier than 7am and had viewing cameras to watch the pups at play during the day. Otherwise, this place is perfect! read more

We've been boarding our little monkey here for several years. I don't know why I always considered them just a boarding location and never considered them for grooming. We took our pup there for grooming bc our normal groomer was booked and they actually did a better job. I kind of like that transparency. But otherwise they are top notch. read more

I found this place on google. I took my 3lb. Yorkie here for grooming and am not pleased. Upon dropping her off I told the groomer trim her face, her anal, trim her ears, and leave her hair kind of long. A day later I'm looking at my dog and there is build-up behind both ears, her ears weren't trimmed, overall she doesn't look like she just came from grooming. I call them to rectify and they invite me to bring my dog in to correct. I take her in and the trim is even worst then it was before jagged edges, hair shaved down more in one area then the other, nicks on her face. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still having a hard time getting used to this. I paid $60 for a 3lb. Dog, after online says $48. I'm still trying to figure out where the extra $12 came from. Also during the correction I asked if her nails were cut and was told if I wanted them grind down it would be $10, as if I hadn't already been inconvenienced enough. read more

the first few times I had my shih tzu groomed here they did a great job and their prices are decent. The past few times I had her groomed, she came home with matted hair under her ears, uneven hair cut (her toe hair was longer in random places as was her leg hair), and I don't think they perform interior anal gland expression which is kind of a pain because then I have to take her to the vet as well. I have decided to switch groomers based on my past few experiences. read more

Thank you, Elizabeth H., for recommending us to Central Bark! This place is fantastic. My pups - Jones & Marley - are wiped out after a day at doggy day care. Lindsay and her team do a great job treating my fur kids like they're her own.
