We started boarding and grooming our dog with Rex and Roxy's a few years ago when we moved back to Atlanta from Dallas,TX. Our dog is 12 and has always been very anxious, and Rex and Roxy's is the first place we have found that she cannot wait to go. Every employ is so kind and caring to the dogs. They notices early on that Our dog had anxiety issues and worked with her to find a pattern that made her comfortable. They have truly gotten to know and care for our dog. We love seeing the videos and pictures on Instagram when we are out of town. They also do a fantastic job grooming her. We are always happy with her grooming. If there is a small change or special request they truly listen and double check if they did It if correctly and offer to fix anything we want. Rex and Roxy is a blessing for us and our dog, Pearl!!!
The google reviews for this place are more accurate based on our experience. We have taken our dog here twice. Positives are that the staff is friendly and they accept same day or short notice appointments. However, it is clear that they are overbooking at the expense of quality grooming. You can expect to leave your dog there all day (9-5/6) whether you can make an appointment in advance or not. The first visit they did a fairly solid groom and cleaning and we were hoping to make it our go to groomer. However, the second time we brought or dog in, they did not call to tell us she was ready and we finally called ourselves shortly prior to closing. The grooming was haphazard and uneven throughout and it frankly looked like she had barely been touched. The unevenness of her cut almost makes her look worse than when we dropped her off. She also did not smell like she had been shampooed properly. I would much prefer that they just advise you that they do not have capacity if that is the type of service they plan to provide. They are reasonably priced, but for such inconsistent service from one visit to the next it is definitely worth it to spend more elsewhere. Photo of the terrible grooming below. Will not return.
First time leaving my lil guy in daycare and I'm more than happy that I went with Rex & Roxy's. Upon first entering we were greeted by Mel. She was beyond professional, approachable and could really sense her true care and know-all when it comes to dog care and nurturing. I felt more than comfortable leaving my Chihuahua in hers and Rex & Roxy's hands. Mel went out of her way to take extra good care of my baby. If the rest of the staff is half as good as she was then it's no surprise why their consistent stealth, good reviews. Much appreciation to Mel and Rex & Roxy's for making my dog feel right at home. :)
We brought our two babies here and this place 7/2 - 7/5 and got our babies back very lethargic and our poodle has a major cut on his stomach and the manager Mia will present herself as nice but is the nastiest person you'd ever want to come in contact with. Beware don't not take your babies here if you care about them.
My fur baby has been going to Rex &Roxy's Buckhead for 1 year now and they are like family !! Always doing events for the pets a plenty of photos throughout the day via Instagram for you to see ! Mrs. Mia and her team Fabi , Deshon , and our beloved Mrs. Mary are always there for me and Cash even working with me and my hectic schedule . Stop by tell them Cash and Cin sent you
Unfortunately changing my 5 star review to a one star review after my most recent experience with R&R. I've been taking my dog to R&R for years now. I have a rescue dog, he is very very shy, but has never been aggressive, not once, he's just timid. This has never been an issue until I recently brought him in. I adopted a new dog and brought him in for a temperament test, and they have now told me they refuse to board my shy rescue. They said because I don't bring him in once a week so he can resocialize, it is abuse - YES, ABUSE - to try and board him, even though he always adjusts just fine after about 24 hours. I used to take him in pretty frequently for daycare to keep him socialized when I lived down the street. I now live 30 minutes away and I'm not able to every week. I very intentionally would make the long drive to board him when I go out of town because I liked and trusted R&R. The manager and I have discussed SEVERAL times that I would bring him in more if I wasn't so far away, and I have been boarding him for over half a year with no issue without bringing him in weekly. I was told they are under new management. I don't know if it's the new owner's sway or some issue they decided to pick on me for, but they tried lectured me for over 10 minutes on how other places don't really love my dog and only want my money, which made it apparent this is all they were trying to do with me, and how it is abusive (the word abuse was thrown around more than a few times) to not bring my dog in weekly. R&R is not the same place it used to be. I do not recommend boarding your dog here if you are not ready for them to spring a random reason on you to spend more money with them. I only give one compliment and that is to the caretaker Deshaun. My shy rescue truly doesn't trust anyone, no matter how long he has known them, except for him. I don't know what he did for my dog to get so comfortable with him, but he can hold and snuggle him no problem. Thank you for being sweet to Zeke. Unfortunately the experience I had with R&R is common for rescues, and people are unkind and unaccepting of timid rescues most times. I really REALLY appreciate the care, patience, and time I know it took for Deshaun to get my dog to trust him.
They lost my dog. About 3 hours after I dropped him off for his temperament test I got a call from a neighbor that they had spotted him alone in a nearby dog park. I called Rex and Roxy's and they told me they were out looking for him. THEY DID NOT CALL ME when they realized he was lost. They recovered him and told me he was doing well, only for me to get a call 5 hours later that he had a bad cut and needed to go to the vet. He had to have surgery to repair the wound. He had escaped by jumping onto a dog house next to the fence, and then jumping over the fence while unsupervised (the staff said they had only stepped away for a few minutes). The staff did seem very nice, and Rex and Roxy's did pay for the vet bills. The price looked good and the convenience unmatched. However, they only had 1 job, and that was to keep my dog safe. In this regard, they failed miserably. They should have called me immediately upon realizing he was missing, and they should have checked if he was hurt and gotten medical attention immediately upon finding him. For all the appealing factors of this place, do yourself and more importantly, your dog, a favor and find a daycare/boarding service who will call you immediately should anything go wrong. Update: After speaking to the neighbors who found my dog, he was actually lost for nearly 2 hours. The staff and owner have indicated they only realized he was gone for around 15 minutes. This means there was nearly an hour and a half where they didn't even realize he was gone.
I love Rex & Roxy's, I just moved to Atlanta about 6 months ago and brought my dog to Atlanta in December and Rex & Roxy's is the best place for day care. The staff is so kind and really cares about each and every dog that comes for day care and boarding. I have not yet gotten my dog groomed here but I plan on it soon and have heard amazing things from other dog owners. The location is perfect for me since it is right across the street and I love that they post pictures of your pups on their instagram so that the owners can check on what their pups are doing! Great prices also for being in the heart of Buckhead, a lot of other places I looked at near by we're a lot more expensive. Amazing staff and everyone is so friendly! if you are planning on taking your dog to day care, boarding or grooming in the Buckhead area, highly recommend!! Henry loves playing with all of his new friends at Rex & Roxy's!!!
Rex & Roxy's is the best daycare I have ever tried! I was extremely nervous to take my dog to a daycare since I just moved to the area but, Rex & Roxy's is incredible! Not only do I feel extremely Comfortable dropping him off, but my dog LOVES going in. He runs back to play with his friends with no hesitation and the Staff are so friendly and kind and love all the dogs so much you can feel and see it! 10/10 - couldn't recommend more!! Here is my dog below lovin' life at daycare!

This is what my puppy looked like right after I picked her up from we first haircut. Do not take your dog here for grooming. Paid extra for ear cleaning, took her to the vet the next week and had to pay $35 for ear cleaning because R&R did such a poor job. Absolutely devastated as I trusted this place for my puppy's first hair cut I had to give her several cuts afterwards for damage continued. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Rex and Roxy's! I'm glad I brought my pup here for his first haircut! Between the reassuring, friendly staff and the video updates I saw on their Instagram account, I had no doubt that my pup was in good hands. We'll definitely be coming back read more

Great spot for daycare for your dog! My dog loves and requests to go here! I know that he wants to go because he gets overly excited in the back seat when we are around the corner and then runs right in! He loves it but so do I. They are always there to address any of my concerns with my dog (weather, tummy issues, etc). It Gives me that extra comfort when I drop off my dog which is more like my kid! :-) Highly Recommended! read more

I was a very loyal customer here for boarding and grooming for both of my dogs for about four years. Last August 2021 I brought my dog here for grooming when I went out of town for my Mom's birthday. While I was out of town, my dog was suffering with an ulcer in his eye and no one notified me. When I returned they even called me to ask me when I was picking him up and still didn't mention anything about my dog's eye condition. They gave him back to me just the way he looks in the picture without a phone call at all. By the time I got there it was after 6, so the only place I could take him to was an animal pet hospital. This was very infuriating because it is way more costly than a visit to his primary care vet. All I wanted was at least a phone call and a friend or family member could have picked him up so that he could receive the proper care he needed. Instead, by the time I was able to get him into see his ophthalmologist he had a very severe ulcer. His ulcer was so bad I had to give him drops every hour for a week. The manager Mia is so rude and had no compassion about my dog at all. She made excuses for them not calling me and still charged me full price for my dogs stay. Do not board or get your dog groomed here. The staff is very negligent and I would be concerned about your babies well being under their care. read more

My little mini cockapoo absolutely loves it here. She plays all day and they make her so clean and pretty! She hates leaving me except to come here. Great customer service and very competitive prices. I've dropped her off here 4 times for grooming and once for boarding. Nothing but the best! Staff is very passionate and treats each dog individually! read more

***WARNING*** Please locate another place to board your beloved pet. This place is not it. I boarded two of my pets over the July 4th weekend. When I initially called to inquire about boarding I spoke with Mia who at the time was very pleasant however when I dropped the dogs off on the morning of Friday July 2nd she (Mia) was anything but professional and pleasant. Mia claimed to not have any information that my dogs were scheduled to be boarded with them from July 2-5. In a very abrupt and aggressive tone she stated that I don't see that your pets are on the schedule, I advised Mia that Two days before the boarding I received a call from the assistant manager to confirm the boarding on Friday. Mia said "well it's not showing and I don't know your dogs" I asked if she remembered speaking with me days before regarding their temperament test and she said no. I asked are you sure you don't see them listed to be boarded and she yelled and said "again I don't see your dogs listed and I don't know your dogs". I made her aware that this would be their first time boarding with Rex and Roxy. After about 5min she magically found their paperwork and began speaking in a more calm manner. Fast forward to July 5 the day of pick up. Once home, my poodle was extremely lethargic and wasn't acting in his normal playful manner. I thought maybe he's just tired from playing. Several hours later I noticed he was still exhausted and not being his true normal self. This remained the same for 3 days. He appeared to be dehydrated and had foam on around his mouth. After making an appointment with the groomer for today Saturday July 10th it was discovered he had a gash wound on his stomach that wasn't there prior to him being boarded with Rex and Roxy. My dogs are kept inside at all time with the exception of going outside to relieve themselves. I stopped by Rex and Roxy today and upon pulling up Mia was outside. I asked did anything happen to my dog while he was in their care and she said no not to my knowledge. I made her aware of the gash wound on his stomach and she immediately became defensive and started yelling and acting as if she was on some kind of drugs. Seeing that I would get nowhere with her I advised I would make the owner aware of her behavior and this incident. Also the groomer that I use explained that several of their clients have mentioned that their dogs experienced extreme lethargic behavior after being boarded with Rex and Roxy and that they have a yellowish discharge coming from their eyes. My senior dog I noticed has the same yellowish discharge coming from his eyes after being boarded. This has to be the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a boarder. I wish I had went with my first thought and not boarded my dogs with Rex and Roxy. Please whatever you do, find another place to board your pets. Mia doesn't care about the well-being of your pets and she is extremely rude and nasty. read more
