They notices early on that Our dog had anxiety issues and worked with her to find a pattern that made her comfortable. They have truly gotten to know and care for our dog. We love seeing the videos and pictures on Instagram when we are out of town. They also do a fantastic job grooming her. We are always happy with her grooming. If there is a small change or special request they truly listen and double check if they did It if correctly and offer to fix anything we want. The google reviews for this place are more accurate based on our experience. We have taken our dog here twice. Positives are that the staff is friendly and they accept same day or short notice appointments. However, it is clear that they are overbooking at the expense of quality grooming. You can expect to leave your dog there all day (9-5/6) whether you can make an appointment in advance or not. The first visit they did a fairly solid groom and cleaning and we were hoping to make it our go to groomer. However, the second time we brought or dog in, they did not call to tell us she was ready and we finally called ourselves shortly prior to closing. The grooming was haphazard and uneven throughout and it frankly looked like she had barely been touched. The unevenness of her cut almost makes her look worse than when we dropped her off. She also did not smell like she had been shampooed properly. I would much prefer that they just advise you that they do not have capacity if that is the type of service they plan to provide. They are reasonably priced, but for such inconsistent service from one visit to the next it is definitely worth it to spend more elsewhere. Photo of the terrible grooming below. When my dog had a seizure at daycare they made us come and get him saying they knew nothing regarding he had epilepsy, when they had already administered his medication previously with boarding. Unfortunately changing my 5 star review to a one star review after my most recent experience with R&R. I've been taking my dog to R&R for years now. I have a rescue dog, he is very very shy, but has never been aggressive, not once, he's just timid. This has never been an issue until I recently brought him in. I adopted a new dog and brought him in for a temperament test, and they have now told me they refuse to board my shy rescue. They said because I don't bring him in once a week so he can resocialize, it is abuse - YES, ABUSE - to try and board him, even though he always adjusts just fine after about 24 hours. I used to take him in pretty frequently for daycare to keep him socialized when I lived down the street. I now live 30 minutes away and I'm not able to every week. I very intentionally would make the long drive to board him when I go out of town because I liked and trusted R&R. The manager and I have discussed SEVERAL times that I would bring him in more if I wasn't so far away, and I have been boarding him for over half a year with no issue without bringing him in weekly. I was told they are under new management. I don't know if it's the new owner's sway or some issue they decided to pick on me for, but they tried lectured me for over 10 minutes on how other places don't really love my dog and only want my money, which made it apparent this is all they were trying to do with me, and how it is abusive (the word abuse was thrown around more than a few times) to not bring my dog in weekly. R&R is not the same place it used to be. I do not recommend boarding your dog here if you are not ready for them to spring a random reason on you to spend more money with them. I only give one compliment and that is to the caretaker Deshaun. My shy rescue truly doesn't trust anyone, no matter how long he has known them, except for him. I don't know what he did for my dog to get so comfortable with him, but he can hold and snuggle him no problem. Thank you for being sweet to Zeke. Unfortunately the experience I had with R&R is common for rescues, and people are unkind and unaccepting of timid rescues most times. I love Rex & Roxy's, I just moved to Atlanta about 6 months ago and brought my dog to Atlanta in December and Rex & Roxy's is the best place for day care. The staff is so kind and really cares about each and every dog that comes for day care and boarding. I have not yet gotten my dog groomed here but I plan on it soon and have heard amazing things from other dog owners. The location is perfect for me since it is right across the street and I love that they post pictures of your pups on their instagram so that the owners can check on what their pups are doing! Great prices also for being in the heart of Buckhead, a lot of other places I looked at near by we're a lot more expensive. They lost my dog. About 3 hours after I dropped him off for his temperament test I got a call from a neighbor that they had spotted him alone in a nearby dog park. I called Rex and Roxy's and they told me they were out looking for him. THEY DID NOT CALL ME when they realized he was lost. They recovered him and told me he was doing well, only for me to get a call 5 hours later that he had a bad cut and needed to go to the vet. He had to have surgery to repair the wound. He had escaped by jumping onto a dog house next to the fence, and then jumping over the fence while unsupervised (the staff said they had only stepped away for a few minutes). The staff did seem very nice, and Rex and Roxy's did pay for the vet bills. The price looked good and the convenience unmatched. However, they only had 1 job, and that was to keep my dog safe. In this regard, they failed miserably. They should have called me immediately upon realizing he was missing, and they should have checked if he was hurt and gotten medical attention immediately upon finding him. For all the appealing factors of this place, do yourself and more importantly, your dog, a favor and find a daycare/boarding service who will call you immediately should anything go wrong. Update: After speaking to the neighbors who found my dog, he was actually lost for nearly 2 hours. The staff and owner have indicated they only realized he was gone for around 15 minutes. This means there was nearly an hour and a half where they didn't even realize he was gone. read more

Not only is their grooming job always great, Theo gets playtime with other dogs and the owners really love dogs (I've been to many groomers who don't even act lovingly to the dogs!). I was a very loyal customer here for boarding and grooming for both of my dogs for about four years. Last August 2021 I brought my dog here for grooming when I went out of town for my Mom's birthday. While I was out of town, my dog was suffering with an ulcer in his eye and no one notified me. When I returned they even called me to ask me when I was picking him up and still didn't mention anything about my dog's eye condition. They gave him back to me just the way he looks in the picture without a phone call at all. By the time I got there it was after 6, so the only place I could take him to was an animal pet hospital. This was very infuriating because it is way more costly than a visit to his primary care vet. All I wanted was at least a phone call and a friend or family member could have picked him up so that he could receive the proper care he needed. Instead, by the time I was able to get him into see his ophthalmologist he had a very severe ulcer. His ulcer was so bad I had to give him drops every hour for a week. The manager Mia is so rude and had no compassion about my dog at all. She made excuses for them not calling me and still charged me full price for my dogs stay. Do not board or get your dog groomed here. The staff is very negligent and I would be concerned about your babies well being under their care. read more

Our little yorkipoo knows the route and goes crazy when we arrive. We tried other places closer to home but he had to be pulled in against his will. I needed somewhere for my dogs to go to daycare while I was at work when I moved to Atlanta and my dogs hadn't ever been in daycare before so I was a little concerned. I'm lucky they were the first place I had checked out. After their interview, they been going to daycare practically everyday and they just love it. My girl practically drags me inside as soon as she realizes where we are. The staff is so friendly and always in such good spirits. Their first boarding experience was here as well. They let them sleep in a separate area for their first time because of how concerned I was, which they didn't have to do, and of course the pups did just fine. ***WARNING*** Please locate another place to board your beloved pet. This place is not it. I boarded two of my pets over the July 4th weekend. When I initially called to inquire about boarding I spoke with Mia who at the time was very pleasant however when I dropped the dogs off on the morning of Friday July 2nd she (Mia) was anything but professional and pleasant. Mia claimed to not have any information that my dogs were scheduled to be boarded with them from July 2-5. In a very abrupt and aggressive tone she stated that I don't see that your pets are on the schedule, I advised Mia that Two days before the boarding I received a call from the assistant manager to confirm the boarding on Friday. Mia said "well it's not showing and I don't know your dogs" I asked if she remembered speaking with me days before regarding their temperament test and she said no. I asked are you sure you don't see them listed to be boarded and she yelled and said "again I don't see your dogs listed and I don't know your dogs". I made her aware that this would be their first time boarding with Rex and Roxy. After about 5min she magically found their paperwork and began speaking in a more calm manner. Fast forward to July 5 the day of pick up. Once home, my poodle was extremely lethargic and wasn't acting in his normal playful manner. I thought maybe he's just tired from playing. Several hours later I noticed he was still exhausted and not being his true normal self. This remained the same for 3 days. He appeared to be dehydrated and had foam on around his mouth. After making an appointment with the groomer for today Saturday July 10th it was discovered he had a gash wound on his stomach that wasn't there prior to him being boarded with Rex and Roxy. My dogs are kept inside at all time with the exception of going outside to relieve themselves. I stopped by Rex and Roxy today and upon pulling up Mia was outside. I asked did anything happen to my dog while he was in their care and she said no not to my knowledge. I made her aware of the gash wound on his stomach and she immediately became defensive and started yelling and acting as if she was on some kind of drugs. Seeing that I would get nowhere with her I advised I would make the owner aware of her behavior and this incident. Also the groomer that I use explained that several of their clients have mentioned that their dogs experienced extreme lethargic behavior after being boarded with Rex and Roxy and that they have a yellowish discharge coming from their eyes. My senior dog I noticed has the same yellowish discharge coming from his eyes after being boarded. This has to be the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a boarder. I wish I had went with my first thought and not boarded my dogs with Rex and Roxy. Please whatever you do, find another place to board your pets. Mia doesn't care about the well-being of your pets and she is extremely rude and nasty. read more

This was the first time in 3 years hearing about this "new co-manager" so I said yes please. I really wasn't that surprised when I immediately recognized the voice as the other front desk girl that I've mostly spoken with every time I've called and dropped off Manny in the last few years. I asked about when will I be receiving a call from the owner that several weeks ago I had requested because Mia informed me that he was the only one who could process refunds on the 1 groom. To my surprise "Bobby" the new "co-manager" said that I would not be receiving a call because the Area Manager (no name) saw my post after several days of waiting for Rex and Roxys to do the right thing. This "Area Manager" was upset by the factual review I posted. This "Area Manager" thought instead of reaching out to me via several different ways to just go ahead and ignore the situation out of spite. I think what I found most interesting was when I asked Mia if I could speak with her boss or an Area Manager about this situation I was told only a few weekends ago that there was no one in that position. She reported directly to the owner. So incredibly interesting. All of these new people! read more
