I've had nothing but great experiences since Kelseys's became Rex and Roxy's. I was a customer at Kelseys for many years and was apprehensive of the change. That said, things had definitely started to come apart when it was still Kelseys. I've received excellent customer service since the change. My dog looks better than ever. This is really a great place to take your dog, the people here really do care for the dogs. However, I could not work there long because of one of the coworkers, Mary. Mary was impossible to work with, she was always yelling and micromanaging. She even got mad one time and locked me outside with the dogs for over 30 min. I have also seen her throw dogs that are way to small to get handled that aggressively. However, everyone else is lovely and you should not thing twice about bringing your fur baby. read more

We recently just moved to Atlanta and needed a new spot for grooming, day-care, and boarding. After researching and even touring multiple places around Buckhead, it was obvious Rex and Roxy's was the best! Everyone who works there is so nice and cheerful. They genuinely love dogs and every time I have to drop off our pups, they both run right in without even saying goodbye! I love that they have access all day to inside rooms and a nice outdoor area too. They upload tons of instagram pictures daily and we love checking our feed for new posts from them to see if we can spot our dogs! Plus, their prices are so nice and we love supporting a local business instead of a big chain trying to cut corners. Especially since most of them (including ones I toured nearby) just let your dog sit in a pee-soaked concrete room all day. If you are looking for a groomer, I highly recommend Tootie!! She groomed both of our shih-tzus recently and they came back soooooo cute and fresh!!! I seriously recommend this place to anyone looking for any services for their spoiled pups!! read more

I think I've found a place that can groom my two West Highland White terrriers! Rex and Roxy's did a full Westie groom on both of my dogs back in June and they still smell and look great! I am so picky when it comes to my two Westies and they get an A. You have to get your dog there by 10AM and if you want an earlier pick-up, drop your dog off at 7AM. They are located on Buckhead Avenue off Peachtree Street adjacent to Pharr Road. Their grooming fee is in line with other grooming facilities in Atlanta. I was impressed that they called my veterinarian for my dog's shot records and I didn't have to hassle with the paperwork. The facility is clean. I have not used their boarding services, yet. read more

I boarded my 5 month old puppy here, and when I got her back, I had to take her to the hospital. I don't know what they did to her (my guess was that they were giving her the wrong food - bc she came home with half the amount left and I sent exactly the amount she needed), but she was lethargic, throwing up, and lost complete control of her bowels. She ended up having to stay in the hospital overnight bc they thought she needed surgery - once they did the ultrasound, they determined no obstruction but her GI tract was massively inflamed. When I called to speak to them about it, they were so flippant and continued to give me information on the wrong dog. Then they blamed it on my 5 month old puppy! (saying she was a "poop eater" - which is 100% not true and even if she was just means 1. the grounds are not maintained well and/or 2. the dogs are not being supervised well enough to prevent them from eating poop). I have never and will never my dog or any future dog there. read more

I finally found a dog daycare/boarding place that does not look like a cold warehouse AND is reasonably priced. Seriously beating out ALL of the competition in Buckhead and the surrounding area by at least $12-15 per service. Trust me I've called around!! I travel quite a bit so every little dollar counts. They're located right on the corner of Buckhead Ave. centrally located to everything... you can't miss them, super easy to find, and very close to my home. Walking in just felt like walking into someone's house: white picket fence, grass front lawn, welcome doormat...then you walk in to this living room environment that's just so inviting. My dog instantly took to Mary, the front desk rep/caretaker. She gave him so much love that he ended up following her around while I was filling out the new client paperwork. I could tell she thoroughly enjoys working with dogs... very sweet person. Spoke with Mia prior to coming to R&R to ask a few questions before dropping my dog off for boarding and she was just so upbeat and so enthused about me bringing my dog in as a new client. She offered to call my vet to get the updated paperwork so I don't have to go search for it. Both are very easy to talk to, very down to earth and I would totally recommend if you're looking for a dog day care/boarding to bring your fur baby to Rex and Roxy's. We love this place so so much! I used to give our two pups haircuts and the whole nine-yards until it just became too much. Not to mention, any groomer could do better than me. Rex & Roxy's is a cute little house in Buckhead with the best staff! They really put their pride and joy into their work! They make you and your pets feel like you're the most important person/pups in the world! They are also very reasonably priced, especially for all they offer and compared to other places around. We have two miniature schnauzers, one white and the other black/white, and they have done fabulous jobs every time they go! They let you drop off anytime in the AM before 10a (no annoying appt time frame) AND they let your pups stay the rest of the day in doggy daycare for free! If that isn't the best dang thing ever, I don't know what is! My babies can get groomed and play the rest of the day with the other pups (and there are lots of other pups!!) is just so great for them. We will forever return to Rex & Roxy's! read more

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE When I started off at Rex and Roxies everything was fine. His cuts were, I'd say, decent. The staff was nice, and the location was super convenient. However, their services have severely depreciated! Amongst many gradual issues, It sadly becomes clear and reveals that after a while they only care about overbooking and overcharging. They have a drop off window for your pooch HOWEVER they keep your dog for countless hours a day and they do not call so you will have to call to check on your baby (they do not call you to give you a little check in or anything). For me this is very much an issue when your dog is on a schedule. As a previous loyal customer, It is completely unfair to have such an acute window to drop your doggie off when they absolutely FAIL at keeping up the same precision themselves at getting your dog cleaned, clipped, and cut!!! It is predominantly clear that they are very much so unorganized and keep up facades on a daily basis. So if you bring your baby in make sure he eats because they will keep your dog prettyyyy much until closing!! The most previous time I picked my baby up, when we got home, I noticed he had a scratch on his paw but I passed it for maybe my dog playing a little too rough, but who knows. My dog was also drinking water like he hadn't had any alllll day ( Dog parents know they're babies). All of this makes you feel like your pet isn't important and being a reoccurring doggie parent means nothing to them. On top of that, they try to keep extra money for tips for themselves. When I came to pay for my dogs services, when I gave the manager Ms.Mia my money, she kept more than she knew I said she could keep for a tip but I didn't want to embarrass her and ask for my money back. When I pick my dog up there I always ask for a specific cut but it seems like they just shave him. No matter what Time of year it is, the appointments are always extremely hard and spaced out if you have to schedule and or rebook. If I were you you, I would not take my dog here, and waist your precious little babies time. I would save the time and go to a groomer who makes you feel safe and comfortable about leaving your dog because REX AND ROXYS is going to ask for 60 to 80 bucks just to give a dog a mediocre cut and keep them for countless hours at a time. I took my 8 month old Australian Shepherd here for a trim haircut. I asked if they had experience with Aussies and said no more than a quarter of an inch trimmed off, and no shaving. When I went to pick her up 4 hours later, she looked like a different dog, and they took off AT LEAST 2 INCHES, practically shaved her and all of her undercoat was revealed. She was left with less than a quarter of an inch of hair on her body, which is not good for her breed. They completely did the opposite of what I asked for, and then would not offer me a refund or discount or anything. They didnt even show me her until after I paid and left a nice tip for the groomer. They wouldnt give any of it back unless I got my vet to call to say it is not good for their coats to be cut that short. It will take upwards of 3-5 months for her to grow back. The woman who works the front desk was incredibly rude and mean. Do not go here. Could not have had a worse experience. read more

Dear Maya's mom, I'm so sorry about your experience with me. My intentions are to always do a great job to the best of my ability. With that being said, inconsistencies whether its always changing the look we want for sweet maya, or canceling appointments more times than little maya has actually been groomed by me ( four times in two years) kinda puts me in a pickle. And with the anxiety that little maya has, she's not always happy to be at the hairdressers on those rare occasions. But with a little love and patience we seem to get through it. Now depending upon how bad little mayas anxiety was during the process sometimes determined if we had a good hair day or bad hair day, because I never want to push her in a direction that she usually doesn't want to go being that we rarely spend time together. I will miss seeing her little button tail running around playing with her little friends having the best time though, and I say this with the deepest sincerity, I do wish we could have come to understanding giving that we had more time. We used to love this place when it was Kelsey's, but we've had a bad feeling about it since it was sold. Our dogs really used to act excited walking in and everyone loved on them (coming and going). Not like that any more. Today, after dropping them off for grooming (and waiting for a "they're ready" call that never came for over 8 hours), we called about an hour before closing. "Yes, they're ready...sorry we couldn't get them earlier as asked.". When we got there, the door to the back area was open, and we heard a woman angrily scream at a dog "SIT DOWN". She sounded like she was at the end of her rope. We paid, and the next thing we knew our dogs came running out on their own. That was also very different than Kelsey's where they would bring them out. Still...I thought...just different. One of the dog's looked shaggier than usual, but I thought it must be because it was winter so they kept her a little longer for warmth. We walked the dogs out and put them in the back seat and headed home and didn't really "examine" them. They called on the way to tell us they hadn't actually grooomed the one that looked shaggy (they had bathed her), and we could bring her back on Tuesday (3 days from now) to get groomed at no charge. How nice of them considering they already charged me full price for work not done. At this point, I said I just wanted them to credit my card for the work and the lady then wanted to tell me WHY it wasn't done. I kept saying I didn't care about the why. They had her over 8 hours and told me she was ready before we went to pick her up. She kept trying to tell me "it was the groomers fault for being late.". She struggled with the idea that I paid Rex and Roxy's to do a job, and it didn't matter to me where their process broke down internally. My dog spent 8 hours there and didn't get groomed. She finally gave up trying to tell me and refunded the money for the grooming (for the second dog). Of course I had to give her my CC again (that didn't feel great considering what we'd been through). This was our second bad experience since its been under new ownership. We won't be back. read more
