Recently our pet sitter through Critter Sitters retired and we met with our new sitter one time. Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. The only "policy" I see enforced or followed here is poor customer service.

And why would I want a credit when I am being cheated out of money?? When the business I have supported for six yrs referred customers too is not backing me on something that is their fault. During check-in, I had multiple verbal conversations with your front desk employee regarding additional services for my dog. Each time the subject came up, I clearly stated that I did not want any extra services added. I specifically remember saying no because I live paycheck to paycheck and was trying to keep costs down. At no point did I knowingly agree to extra services. If your policy is that only the written contract matters regardless of what is verbally discussed, then your staff should be trained to go line-by-line through the paperwork clearly and accurately instead of having conversations that directly contradict what the customer is saying. I take responsibility for not rechecking every line before signing, but your business also has a responsibility to ensure customers are not being verbally told one thing while paperwork reflects another. A customer should be able to trust that when they repeatedly say "no" to extra services, those services are not added anyway. I am asking you to take responsibility for the failures in communication and handling of this situation. From my perspective, I was charged for services I explicitly declined, and I find that unacceptable. Even more so the owners response to their business.

The facility and the staff were absolutely amazing for our two Great Dane boys. They would match the play group with their personality and activity, which they would come home tired and happy from a fun day. They also loved every staff member and were always happy to see them when they arrive! One of our pups had surgery and couldn't stay home after the first couple weeks due to our work, but their "Day and Play" program is exceptional for needing to be away from other dogs until medically cleared. Despite being alone, he had a buddy throughout the day for low-level play time and enrichment to keep him busy. We highly recommend taking your dogs to Central Bark in Atlanta! We honestly wish we could've picked them up and take them with us to our new home destination. Even if your dog can't be with other dogs for some reason, they will not be bored! We miss them dearly!
