She has a drop coat that requires regular brushing to prevent matting -- I know that's not something a boarding facility can do for free every day, and I never expected that. At drop-off, I explained this to a young woman, possibly Haley (who was doing intake) and the groomer, who happened to be there. I even brought my own brushes and asked for her to be brushed 2-3 times during the week. I was told they'd check with the groomers. We also scheduled a mini groom for pickup day, July 22nd. Over the following days, I checked in on the webcam when I could and noticed she was looking increasingly disheveled. On July 19th, I reached out again to confirm the grooming appointment and to ask if anyone was brushing her, since she looked matted on camera. Haley responded right away and said she'd ask the groomers. On the morning of the 22nd, I got a call from the groomer explaining that my dog was severely matted and would need to be shaved down. When I reminded him I had specifically requested regular brushing at drop-off, he asked who I'd spoken to -- it became clear that the request had not been passed along or acted on for the entire two-week stay. He was apologetic, waived the dematting fee (which I would never have paid), and said he'd try to save as much coat length as possible. When I picked her up, it was obvious he'd tried, but the result was thinned out, uneven and choppy -- chunks clipped short around the mats, with a longer matted section left near her neck and tail and her top knot was a dreadlock. She looked worse, not better, and I had to book an emergency appointment at PetSmart of all places afterward just to even out her cut. What frustrates me most is that this was preventable. A specific, repeated request was made at drop-off and again mid-stay, and nothing happened until the final morning when it was too late to do anything but shave portions of her coat. Why not just do a proper cut? I was hoping this could be a regular daycare spot for my dog since I'm heading back into the office a few days a week, but after this experience I won't be returning. I don't care about the money. I'm hurt and disappointed more than anything. Photo 1: "Discovery Day" on July 8th. The "before" after a full day of daycare. No problem. Photos 2-3: During the stay. Photos 4-6: The "after" on pick-up.

Recently our pet sitter through Critter Sitters retired and we met with our new sitter one time. Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. The only "policy" I see enforced or followed here is poor customer service.

Since my first inquiry, 4 months ago, I have never waited longer than a few hours (it was 30 mins the first time) for a response. Mitchell and photography skills and Marcy who has something about her that makes my pup go nuts with happiness when he see's her has won me over! They communicate every step of the way (arrival, during, after), they are flexible when I do things like forget to leave the key....Marcy even cleaned up the mess when our puppy had an accident in the house! I have and will continue to recommend PupWalkr to everyone! They are competitively priced and offer the same services as other walkers but their customer service and staff is what sets them apart! Everyone in our complex speaks very highly of them and our baby West LOVES his daily walks! Go ahead and get the 20 pack, you will love it so you may as well save a little money :)
