I love this place, Chris is the absolute best! I went to another repair phone store at the Glen in glenview & went there to get my battery fixed. When I came back not only was my battery messed up, but also my screen! The logic board was all messed up & they mentioned there is a 70% chance to fix my phone but they would have to send it to Tennessee for 10 days. Nobody has that type of time first off. I got a screen repair here done a few months ago (September). This was the first time I had gotten a screen repair on my iPhone. After I picked it up it had an alert on my settings about the screen. I can't recall exactly what it said but something about the lines of making sure when replacing your screen to go somewhere that is verified due to the fact that it may not be properly calibrated. Although at first it did not sit right with me I brushed it off thinking it's just another apple notification. Ever since I got it replaced the very top right corner of the screen would push down if I tapped with some pressure. This was the only spot on my phone that would push down. Again, I thought nothing of it because my phone continued to work well. Fast forward a few months later, the top half of my phone (touchscreen) would not work. The screen looked fine and the phone was still working but did not know why the top half of my screen would not respond to touch. I took it to my T-Mobile store/ repair shop and they looked at the phone. They later found that the top of my screen was ever so slightly opened and starting to come off. If you looked at it from the side you could see some light starting to come off. I was lucky enough to be able to get it into the apple store and get it repaired same day without major damage done to my phone. One bad fall and the whole screen could of came off. Lesson learned. I tried to save money by coming here and at the end it was poor quality. Better off paying a little more for quality service next time. read more

These guys don't keep their word, plain and simple. My cellphone's screen cracked on Christmas Day, so I decided to give this place a try. Went in on the 26th. They were closed. They had holiday hours posted, but the 26th was not listed as a day that they were going to be closed. Still, I decided I would try and come back on the 28th. I reasoned that maybe they forgot to list the 26th as an off day, or maybe I caught them when they were out to lunch. On the 28th, I go to get an estimate for how much it would cost to replace the screen. They quote me for $130. That's pretty good compared to the other stores I checked in the area. The guy working there told me that I could leave the phone with them and they would have it fixed by tomorrow, or I could just come back with my phone and they would have the part available the next day. It seems as though they don't carry the parts for my phone, which is a 2014 Moto X. That's understandable, since the phone model is not as common as a Samsung Galaxy, or Iphone. The only problem is, I have work the next day, but I figure out a way to get a "work from home" day just to get my phone fixed. I come back to the store on the 29th as the person requested, but I find on that day, there's a completely different person working, and this person has no idea about my screen, or even how to fix my phone. I complained to the new guy that I had to jump through hoops to come to the store and get my phone fixed, but he says there's nothing he can do. I ask if the guy from yesterday, which apparently is the owner, has at least ordered my phone screen, since the employee states that they didn't receive a Moto X screen, but he is adamant that if the owner says he ordered it, then he ordered it. I then ask if he can at least verify if the order was placed in someway, but he states that he didn't have the authority to do that. He suggests calling the next day to check if the part is delivered. On the 30th, I call, and get the owner on the phone. He says the part hasn't come in, but from checking the USPS web site, he can see it was shipped at least. He said he would check again and give me a call back. I never got a call back. He also claimed that the part would be in at the latest, Jan 2nd 2016. On Jan 2nd, I called again to see if my part finally arrived. The employee answers, and says it hasn't come, and tells me to call back another day. At this point, I complain again to the employee that I was told the screen would be in on the 2nd at the latest, but he doesn't seem to be able to do anything about the circumstance. On Jan 4th, I made a last ditch effort to try and check if the part came in. Again, I was told it had not arrived. They claim they'll call me when it arrives. I'm sitting here writing this review on Jan 9th now, and not one phone call has come from them to notify me that the part has come in. At this point, I'm not even sure the part was ever ordered in the first place. Luckily, I've already gone somewhere else, and got my phone fixed. read more

I accidentally dropped my 2 week new iPhone 8 phone and screen shattered (my new phone case was on it's way from Amazon and I didn't have my phone in a case yet). I called around to various places to get quotes on replacing my screen (Apple store: $149; another at $139, etc). I called yesterday (Friday) and received a quote from Chris at Cellfone MD for $90 to replace my screen and decided to go there. I arrived there to get my phone fixed and Chris apologized right away as he said he forgot to ask me what color iPhone I had (he had just used the last black screen and wouldn't have anymore until today (Saturday). He said he would give me a discounted price since he forgot to ask me what color phone I had (as I had come all the way to the store). It is my opinion that most vendors would NOT do this and most would have said "I'm really sorry I ran out but please come back tomorrow". The discounted price wasn't what I was impressed (although this was helpful!) with but Chris' sincerity and good business practices. I dropped by today and he fixed it in 15 minutes! I didn't even get to finish reading my magazine that I brought :) My phone looks great, will definitely come back here again if I need repairs and will forward recommendations to my friends/others to come here. read more
