When I first called this store to ask for a quote on a front to back repair for an iPhone 4S, they quoted $80; $40 for the front and $40 for the back. This was a "special price" only if I did both; if not, they would charge $70 for the front and $20 for the back. They told me that they did not have the part for an Apple back, so that they would call me if shipments arrived. I went to get my front repaired, and was about to pay $40, when he stated that I must pay $70. I told them this was not what they stated over the phone, and he said, "I never said that." It was interesting to see how he said this only AFTER he fixed my phone, and it was in his hands. After paying, I asked if they would call me when their new shipment came in. They never called, so I called to check in a few days later. They said they had it, only when I went in, they told me they didn't have the Apple one, only a blank white one. Supposedly, U.S. Customs didn't clear them for their packages. After arguing why they failed to let me know this over the phone, he decided to not charge me the remaining $10. I left each time disappointed with their service and how they say one thing over the phone, and another in person. Only after 20 days, my phone cracked when I did not even drop it, and the back began to fall apart. Because this is not covered under their 90 day warranty, I was told, "There's nothing we can do. When my mom broke her phone I called and Chris didn't even hesitate to tell me to bring in the phone to look at it. Even though i called 30 minutes prior to closing, he was still very friendly. When I arrived he tested the phone for various possible issues. After roughly 20 minutes he discovered the phone had needed a new screen due to water damage. I figured I would just drop the phone off and be on my way. But he took the time to determine what was wrong and fix it all while I waited. This is customer service at it's best! Many times stores are in a rush to close and this was defiantly not the case. Although I stayed way past the closing time, I never felt like I was rushed out. He fixed the phone while I waited at an extremely reasonable price and my mom was extremely happy to have her Iphone back! If I could give this place more then 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! I really appreciated the Yelp reviews when I went about getting my shattered iPhone 6s+ screen replaced, along with a new battery, so I will write one too. I picked the four best-reviewed places and called for quotes. Chris at Cellfone MD offered the lowest price and the shortest repair time. When I went in it took 40 minutes, not 20, and he didn't have the right screen in stock. What I ended up with had problems, and though it took 9 days to resolve my issue (more related to the supplier than the business) I am really happy with the resolution, the condition of my phone, the service and the final price. Electronics repair can be complicated, especially with an older model phone like mine. Another reviewer had suggested calling ahead to make sure parts were in stock, and I had that in my notes, but I forgot to do so. My iPhone 5 was giving me problems when I started to notice that the glass was coming loose from the body of the phone. Based on the other positive reviews I saw here, I requested a quote and Chris responded very quickly.
