every time we go here it seems like we are bothing them. tonight we walked in, lots of open tables but they were all dirty. they told us to sit down if we saw a clean place. sat there for 10 minutes and no service. we left. such a shame. this is a cool little place close to our house. won't be back. read more

We chose Cellar + Plate for an after work dinner and ordered a bunch of different small plates and all had drinks and wine.

This is a great place for a low-key get together. Cozy table seating and couches. Great wine selection, and tasty tapas. Service could be improved, but it is not bad. Don't go here if you are in a rush, this food and wine is meant to be savored. I recommend the Big Plate, Gouda dip, and hummus! read more

Cellar + plate has been a great romantic but not over the top restaurant for us. My fiancée and I can go For a nice little evening or she can go with her girlfriends and have the same awesome experience. The meat and cheese boards are some of the best that we have in Springfield and they have a wonderful wine selection as well. You can also catch some of Springfield's finest musicians playing here. Great tapas menu! The menu is new since the last time we were there. The Baked Brie, Steak Medallions and Mac and Cheese are a must. Good beer on tap, but wine selection was lacking a bit. Staff was super friendly and fun. We had a great time. Will be back for sure. read more

Had a private party here today for Part 1 of celebrating my birthday. Mary and Doug went out of their way to make tonight extra special. The food is amazing and the wine is delicious as ever. This is a great spot to get away and just relax. It's not pretentious like you would expect from a "wine bar", but laid back, friendly and approachable. We usually make it a weekly date spot with a glass of Rioja and a crisp Moscato. the food pairings are tapas style. you can easily turn a few into a meal. Also there are some amazing sweet crepes for dessert and Mary (The owner) usually has some off menu tarts or other sweet treats she has whipped up. Cellar + Plate is my new favorite place in Springfield, Mo. I hosted a bachelorette party at Cellar + Plate and the staff was so amazing! Mary planned a pasta making class for the party and it was a HUGE hit. We had so much fun learning the process of making fettuccine. Mary served a variety of wines and the food was delicious!
