After reading all the glowing Yelp reviews, I thought they were too good to be true... but then our moving day came and it turned out that the reviews could hardly do justice to these amazing people! Rolando and his crew were truly awesome!!! We moved from San Rafael to Napa on 9/23/15. After reading Yelp reviews, I contacted several moving companies for estimates. We bought a fixer-upper and are in financial dire straits, but Rolando was willing to work with us on the "do-not-exceed" estimate and he got our business (part of the deal was that we agreed to move all the "loose" stuff, like bicycles, tools, area rugs etc. ourselves, so Rolando's crew was only moving packed boxes, furniture and appliances). Staying on budget was very important to us so we were happy to do it. We had no written contract and the "do not exceed estimate" and everything else was agreed upon verbally, but after meeting Rolando, we knew right away that we could trust him. He was very courteous and kept in touch with us during the 2 weeks before the move to make sure that everything was set. He and his 3 guys showed up EXACTLY on time and packed up our 1200 sq ft, 3 story townhouse in record time. They came with a moving truck AND a large trailer and I have to say - I have never seen more efficient, hard-working and CHEERFUL movers in my life! They arrived at our new house in Napa and quickly unpacked and organized our belongings. The house in Napa is old and under construction, so it was not an easy task. Very narrow doorways and hallways plus steep stairs - it was incredibly difficult to carry heavy dressers, king mattress and other stuff, esp. upstairs. Rolando and his 3 guys had to work super hard and be super creative to figure out how to get everything inside, and they did it all while joking, laughing and whistling. Some other movers may grumble or try to extract extra $$ b/c of the difficult conditions, but Rolando took everything in stride and remained calm, composed and extremely professional throughout the entire process. He and his guys had such positive energy about them that they were truly a joy to be around :) One thing I learned: when Rolando says that something will not fit through the door/around the corner/up the stairs, he is ALWAYS right. They have been doing this for a while and they know their trade. I really wanted to bring my huge 65" screen OLD, BULKY TV set to the upstairs bedroom (b/c we can't afford a new one right now!), but Rolando said it couldn't fit up the stairs. He said he and his guys will TRY if I wanted them to and try they did: for about 20 min, they struggled to wrestle the huge, heavy TV up the narrow staircase, until it became apparent even to me that it was not going to happen... What I admire the most about Rolando and his crew is the fact that even though they knew from the very beginning that the TV wouldn't fit, they did try to move it to make me happy b/c they knew how much I wanted it to go into that bedroom. I have never seen movers with such an amazingly pleasant, kind and graceful attitude! These guys are so incredibly professional, polite and courteous that I truly couldn't give them enough stars to say how happy we were with the entire moving experience. They didn't break, scratch or damage a single thing and took extreme precautions to protect our belongings, as well as walls, floors and banisters. We had a moving emergency when some other movers bailed on us the day of our move. Our realtor connected us with Rolando at Celise. he showed up within an hour, with four other guys. (The other company only sent 2). With some friends coming to help, they packed and loaded our entire house in about 4 hours, in the dark. Rolando worked out a price that was more than fair, considering the circumstances. We left Novato, and Celis delivered right after we closed on our new home near Boise. They drove through some rough roads and weather, but arrived with nothing broken. They unloaded very quickly. Rolando and his crew saved our sale. We couldn't recommend them more highly. I had a 2 story 3 bedroom house and with little effort the crew moved the entire house without any incident. This is a warning about the men working for Celis. I hired Celis Movers to move me into a new apartment here in San Francisco last October. The move went fine; nothing important was damaged. I even tipped the two movers $40 each. There were only three people in my new apartment that entire day or the next day: the two movers from Celis and me. The day after the move I could not find an important family heirloom: a Gorham Sterling Silver Service for eight including carving knife and fork. I was really puzzled because I had unpacked the silver myself (it was stored in a long custom-sized box covered with a zippered felt bag and weighed about 4-5 pounds) and placed it on a shelf in my new kitchen. I went through every empty box in my garage and found the empty sterling silver box. Nothing, gone. I contacted Rolando Celis who denied his movers would ever steal anything. I called both the men who moved me and without accusing anyone of anything, told each of them how important this sterling silver was to me and my family. IF they knew anything about its location and could have it returned to me (no questions asked), I would pay $2,500. Nothing. I filed a police report but absent any "witnesses", they told me there was little they could do. This is now February. The sterling silver service is still gone. read more

Celis Movers are true professionals They dedicated an entire day prior to the move to packing and preparation. They were very flexible. When they found out that the new house was avalable ahead of schedule to start moving some key items, they adjusted the schedule in order for the massive pieces of furniture to get out of the way quickly. Their logistics and space requirements are extremely reasonable. Their initial estimate was spot on because of how thorough the team leader was when he first came to go through the workload. The walkthrough is comprehensive and you can feel that they know hot to handle all kinds of electronics. For half of our equipment, we didn't keep the original boxed or packaging. Nevertheless all collectibles, memorabilia and fragile items were take care of in the most professional manner. All movers in the team were friendly and were briefed in a way that not a single box was not put in the wrong room in at the destination.
