They were one of the few companies to offer me a flat rate for moving from Santa Rosa to Walnut Creek, which was super important since I wasn't sure how traffic would be. Price was also reasonable and there were no extra fees for gas/toll/etc. I had approximately one room's worth of items moved and everything arrived to my new apartment intact. MG Movers were very efficient and professional. Can I give 6 stars? It's rare that you find a business with such a great combination. First, the website: they offer exactly the service we wanted, which was to dis-assemble our baby grand piano and move it down a flight of stairs and into our truck. Second, we felt confident hiring them because Sacramento asked great questions like - could we send pictures of our piano, and especially the legs, so he could plan the dis-assembly, and when he quoted a price, he specified that it included dis-assembly and shrink wrapping. No other movers even mentioned those things, but they are important details and you can't just assume they are included. They were clear and prompt with communications, scheduling and confirmations. When they arrived, they had all the equipment they might need to do the job safely, including a lift-gate to get the piano gently into our truck. They were prompt, friendly, careful, thorough and pleasant. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, competitively priced as well. This is a gem of a business and you would do well to hire them to help you with your move. read more
