I highly recommend this company! I got quotes from 5 local moving companies, and Nice Guys got back to me the fastest, with the most affordable rate, and were very easy/pleasant to work with. The price was reasonable. Very easy process. Marcus and Freeman arrived as arranged for both the initial move and then again for the items to be put back. No problems at all. DO NOT USE NICE GUYS MOVERS. Worst mistake ever. We booked 2 guys for 2 hours to help us load our Uboxes prior to a cross-country move. Nice guys sent only 1 guy, -- 3 -- hours -- late -- (!!?), and never called us to let us know they would be late. I called 30 minutes after they were supposed to show up to find out what was going on, and they claimed that the reason the didn't call to let us know they weren't going to show up was that they had the wrong phone number entered in their system. Not only that, they said they had a lot of people out sick and they didn't know if they were going to send anyone at all at that point! We had a hard deadline to finish before the Uboxes were picked up - so my husband and I ended up doing most of the loading ourselves and working late into the night (in the dark) to make sure the job was finished. The one guy who showed up was really nice but exhausted. We tipped that guy very, very well. On top of all this, I called and called (4 times) trying to obtain a partial refund for services not rendered - I kept getting told that they needed to have a manager call me back (they never called back). The last time I called they literally hung up on me. I was always very polite but firm when I called - so there was literally no reason for this treatment - except that they had zero intention of returning any money to me. Save your peace of mind and your money - book a different company. Final note, it appears that this business may have moved to San Rafael (formerly in Santa Rosa, they also have other branches). Same guys, same problems. Don't risk it. read more
