They were careful with our items during the move from Sebastopol to Santa Rosa, and were open to suggestions when the lift gate on their truck refused to cooperate on our slanted driveway. - Not sure what refreshments to offer these professionals during all of their hard work? I had a very upsetting experience with Fresh Start Movers during my move on 6/26/26. While their crew was inside my home, cash went missing from my out-of-town guests' wallets that were in the house. We do not have video proof of exactly who took it, but based on the timing and who had access, we strongly believe the loss happened during the move. I contacted the company and filed a formal claim along with a police report. This has been stressful and disappointing, and I would not use this company again. At minimum, I strongly recommend that anyone hiring movers keep all wallets, cash, jewelry, medications, and valuables completely secured and away from the moving area. I cannot recommend fresh start movers based on my experience. read more

The crew showed up on time but with no uniforms and no company truck. I provided moving blankets wich they didn't use. I might as well have gone to Home depot and hired some day laborers could have done a better job for alot less money. Most of my furniture was either scratched,dinged or ripped and the way they handled some of my boxed goods was totally unprofessional. WTF ? If you don't mind babysitting hire these guys ! The estimate was reasonable in light of the task. Fresh Start communicates via text and email,and the documentation is clear and concise. Phone calls are also made from the movers to remain in touch with the client every step of the way. The crew arrived at the pickup location on time, both workers communicated intelligently (John and Ramses), the move was done quickly, carefully, mindfully, and efficiently. At our house, they placed the furniture where we wanted, and left the site in perfect condition and clean. If this were not enough, Kyle accepts credit cards for payment, and guess what -- he does not tack on a surcharge to cover merchant's fees. I moved from Phoenix to Santa Rosa this weekend. I brought a large professional/industrial printer that I had to unload from the truck and place on a stand. The printer was about 8 feet long, 2 1/2 feet high and weighed about 220 pounds. The owner, Kyle, arranged to have a moving crew over at my house in just a few hours since it was a small job. Because of this I was able to get my U-Haul truck back to the U-Haul store on time. It had been almost 15 years since I moved the printer and I had forgotten how to put it back on the stand! (how to line everything up with the printer stand) I went inside to look at a quick video of how to do it and when I came out the two movers had already figured it out and the printer was ready to go. They had even attached the butterfly screws necessary to secure the printer! I was completely satisfied with Kyle and Fresh Start Movers. The day of, his team came in - saw what needed to be done and got to it... They had a team of 8 (it was going to be four) come in - it took them 3 hours to get things loaded AND unloaded - where we needed things to go. At the drop off, they were accommodating to take shoes off inside the house (it had just finished raining the day before) The crew was professional and polite and all around a good team handling our stuff! After about 2 / 3 days, I found a mounting screw missing from the TV mount. I called Kyle asking if they maybe found one in their truck.
