Celis easily falls in the top two or three breweries in Austin if you have pets or little ones. It's been a lot of fun watching this place grow over the years. It's turned into this compound now with plenty of options for everyone. From frozen slushes to a wonderful variety of beers, you really can't go wrong. There are two main bars you can order from along with two incredible food trucks (tacos and pizza) outside. In the front, they have a dog yard and in the back, they were is a massive turf area with plenty of seating and areas for the kids to run. They even have a stage! Beyond the great atmosphere, I also simply just love their beers. They brew such a wide range of types and flavors that you are tempted to try something new every single time. This is my favorite brewery in the Domain area. Great service and nice vibe. I love to chill w friends in their outdoor beer garden when the weathers nice. It's such a fun place to hangout and you get see many cute little ones and furry friends playing around on the lawn. My first visit was on a Friday and there was Garrett Jay Brown playing some live music on the stage. We picked a spot near the stage and enjoyed my favorite Celis White beer during the sunset. If you have space for food, I'd definitely recommend to get some tacos from the pink food truck, Con Todo, as their tacos are one of the best in town!! read more

Great beer, great vibes, and great service! One of our favorite breweries in town! There's a pretty good amount of parking and lots of seating. It's close to the soccer stadium so a good pre-game spot. There's a few food trucks on-site, which allows for spending the day here when the weather is nice. When I first moved to Austin in 2019 Celis Brewery was one of the first round of Breweries I tried and it stood out from the rest with it's iconic Belgian Style Witbier called "Celis White" probably their most famous flagship beer til this day that has been seen distro everywhere in Texas. It was revived by the founder Pierre Celis when he opened the brewery in 1965 when he moved to Austin. When I first saw the taproom with the Copper fermentation tank converted into a bar I was super impressed two thumbs up for whoever came up with that idea!! I always thought it would've have been nice to bring my pup while enjoying a refreshing beer if only they had a patio area fast forward 3 years later they built a HUGE patio area filled with live music & food trucks! I also noticed they expanded parking for ample room in 3 sections next to the brewery. I would definitely recommend this Brewery to anyone that is looking for great service and great selection of Beers. Also great beer history with a HUGE patio area is always a plus in my book! Had some good beers, saw 3 food trucks ranging from pizza to gyros yo elevated tacos. Here is what sells: Great bartenders that know beer...great venue with multi-tiered corners in A/C, out on various porches, a stage, simply huge without being a parking lot of sun--yet there is a lot to park in which is a huge plus. The TERRIBLE. The Staff is at best indiferent and usually just plain RUDE. The manager is among the worst of them. I have been there four times and had the same result. They have a long list of draft beers available hitch is where many breweries fall short with limited options on draft. I'd skip the main tap room unless there is an event going on in there. Came here to hang out with a small group on a Wednesday night. They have a big open space well suited to groups big and small. They also have events pretty regularly like weekly trivia and I saw posters for a democratic debate viewing party happening the next day. The vibe here is very relaxed, they're dog friendly, have a couple of board games and a ping pong table. They had a food truck outside that seems to rotate fairly often. If you're up around the area and looking for a chill place to hang out after work you can't beat the vibe. The only thing I had to give them a small knock for was the beer. I tried a flight and went mostly with the (very friendly I might add) bartenders recommendations. Outside of their standard witte they were all quite extreme versions of their respective flavors. Their hazy ipa was super biter and lacked that usual juicy quality you'd expect from the name. The lime Berliner weisse and raspberry wheat were both missing much non fruit flavor. Came with some friends to enjoy North Atx breweries. As an Austin transplant, I first heard about it through my first 6-pack from HEB. I fell in love with their Celis White, and I was super stoked when we walked into their beautiful tap room. The taptenders are behind the bar that's built in a cool circular format with glossy wood for a vintage feel. The taproom itself is huge and spacious. Service was downright wonderful, and their restrooms are clean and easy to access. We sat at the tap tending area, but there are TONS of spaces and tables for larger groups. I can see this place as a hangout for all of my friends if only we lived closer! The beers are lovely too. I got the flight of four because there were so many I wanted to taste. My favorite ones were the Juicy IPA and Grand Cru. The Passionfruit leaned more on the sour side, and the pineapple one was tasty, but on the pale-r side of my tastes. In all, the selection was wonderful and I feel like any beer lover can find something they want to drink. Parking is plentiful, the interior is spacious, and they're dog-friendly indoors. That's basically everything every beer person can ask for. I also love that you can find Celis in your neighborhood grocery store! BEER FOR THE PEOPLE! read more

Celis Brewery is a brewery in the domain area. Offers plenty of outdoor seating with a very large lawn. Many people will bring their dogs as this is a dog friendly business. They have seating from picnic tables, high top, and adirondack chairs. There is also outdoor yard games available. They also host a variety of events I have gone to their free yoga class on the lawn and they have a stage for outdoor performances. There isn't a kitchen available but they do have a food truck out back you can grab a bite. This is a family friendly spot as you will see people from many ages. read more

There are also daily specials that we want to return for, such as, oysters on the half shell for $1 each served on Tuesdays. We brought our craft beers outside and enjoyed them immensely. Quick updated review for Celis because the place has radically changed since our last visit. We met friends here on Saturday and had no idea that they had completely redone their outdoor area (basically modeled on the Meanwhile space), which we throughly enjoyed. There's plenty of seating (though some of the picnic tables have seen better days) and a "play area" that is obviously intended for kids to go wild in. Food trucks are around the corner outside and there's a well-equipped bar too. Service inside was friendlier than outside but that could be because it was a much chiller scene in there. We still like the beer here (white ale, lager, pils, not so much the IPA) but their frozen green apple concoction that one of us sampled was truly DISGUSTING. What on Earth!? Anyway, new and improved and we'd be happy to come again. Incidentally it was opening day at the stadium. Listos! read more

I highly recommend the raspberry beer and the sour cherry one, I can't wait to go back and try their tropical fruits and lime! This is a journey in history and flavor well worth taking. It's good to have such a long-loved piece of Austin history revived. It is not without irony that the brewery is not only revived, but has evolved with Austin. It's up north where the population is booming. It has a polished, old-school-chic tasting room much like many of the new eateries and pubs in Austin. But, unlike most of the new eateries and pubs catering to millennials, this place actually has organic roots in Austin and it's new digs reflect Celis' heritage. The tasting room is spacious and multi-leveled. It's shape almost gives you the feel of being inside a giant vat in the brewery. The walls are lined with images of Pierre Celis and his brewery after coming from Europe to give Austin the taste of his homeland. The original craft brewery disappeared after a major corporate buyout. But now Celis' daughter has fought to bring the brewery home and the brews stay true to the heritage of it's founder. Sipping a Celis White here brings back great memories of the 90's and the tasting room allows you to connect with the brew's passionate creators. There are many more brews than just the White on tap. The staff today are also passionate about the beers they present and you can enjoy flights of the craft brews you select. It is well worth the trip. read more

The location is really neat and is made up of several parts with two bars and some outdoor patio areas with food drunks as well. The have a rotating menu with fun seasonal specials like the Mexican Hot Chocolate Lager as well as a selection os seltzer that are pretty flavorful like ginger and grapefruit. I was soooo happy to finally get a chance to come here as I have been wanting to for a while! This place did not disappoint and I am so happy those of us on the North-ish side can add another stellar brewery to what seems to be an ever-growing arsenal! The vibe here is just great and the decor/ambiance is fantastic as well! I was no expecting it to look so fancy when I first walk in and I LOVE the open concept w/the still-shaped bar in the middle! They do a great job of presentation, to be sure and this extends to their beers. I did a flight and enjoyed the 4 beers I got, but my hands down fav was the Grand Cru! I've been to Celis several times now. If you haven't been in while, they now have a beer garden. Along with the beer garden they also have more food trucks along with their tried and true pizza food truck. They have a nice selection beers, and they also now have hard seltzers, which I'm thrilled to have as an option. It's very dog friendly, which I love even though I don't have a dog of my own.
