Outdoor is awesome on a good cool day. Plenty of beer choices, no liquor, but food truck behind were great. Dog friendly too. If looking somewhere to relax with a drink with friends I'd recommend this place read more

Initially got lost and went to the inside of the building and most of the action happens outside. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't the nicest day so it wasn't very busy. The beer tasted great and the have a bunch of selections! They only had about 2 food trucks open when we went so we didn't try the food but the outdoor then yard they have looked great! Can't wait to visit during summer read more

The bartender charged me 8 dollars for a clearly labeled 7 dollar beer. So either they can't count, or they decided to tip themself with my change. And the beer sucked. read more

Great dog friendly place to enjoy a beer! The selection of beer was great, we tried several and even as a non-beer drinker I really enjoyed them all. The service was great and the outdoor seating has great options for bigger groups. The parking is plentiful which is a huge benefit in Austin. We will definitely be back! read more

Please stop with the babies in the bar. Went last weekend and there was a pack n play in the bank bar and the entire bar table was covered in baby bottles and baby shit. Want happened to going to a bar and not having kids? read more

This is my favorite brewery in the Domain area. Great service and nice vibe. I love to chill w friends in their outdoor beer garden when the weathers nice. It's such a fun place to hangout and you get see many cute little ones and furry friends playing around on the lawn. My first visit was on a Friday and there was Garrett Jay Brown playing some live music on the stage. We picked a spot near the stage and enjoyed my favorite Celis White beer during the sunset. If you have space for food, I'd definitely recommend to get some tacos from the pink food truck, Con Todo, as their tacos are one of the best in town!! read more

Celis easily falls in the top two or three breweries in Austin if you have pets or little ones. It's been a lot of fun watching this place grow over the years. It's turned into this compound now with plenty of options for everyone. From frozen slushes to a wonderful variety of beers, you really can't go wrong. There are two main bars you can order from along with two incredible food trucks (tacos and pizza) outside. In the front, they have a dog yard and in the back, they were is a massive turf area with plenty of seating and areas for the kids to run. They even have a stage! Beyond the great atmosphere, I also simply just love their beers. They brew such a wide range of types and flavors that you are tempted to try something new every single time. High reccoemend this spot. Only downside is on super busy weekends or events, parking can be a bit tough. read more

Amazing place, good outdoor and indoor seating. Tons of beers to choose from. The history of how this place came to be is fascinating. Celis White is a super refreshing brew that is perfect during any visit. And the food trucks outside (tacos and pizza) are great too! Only negative thing is they need to tackle the small ants that have taken over their outdoor seating. every table and every bench is just swarmed with them, so be weary of where you sit. read more

Great beer, great vibes, and great service! One of our favorite breweries in town! There's a pretty good amount of parking and lots of seating. It's close to the soccer stadium so a good pre-game spot. There's a few food trucks on-site, which allows for spending the day here when the weather is nice. This is a must see/do spot when you have friends and family visiting! read more

Celis Brewery - Love the open Biergarten! - Breweries Near Me - Austin, Texas

When I first moved to Austin in 2019 Celis Brewery was one of the first round of Breweries I tried and it stood out from the rest with it's iconic Belgian Style Witbier called "Celis White" probably their most famous flagship beer til this day that has been seen distro everywhere in Texas. It was revived by the founder Pierre Celis when he opened the brewery in 1965 when he moved to Austin. When I first saw the taproom with the Copper fermentation tank converted into a bar I was super impressed two thumbs up for whoever came up with that idea!! I always thought it would've have been nice to bring my pup while enjoying a refreshing beer if only they had a patio area fast forward 3 years later they built a HUGE patio area filled with live music & food trucks! I also noticed they expanded parking for ample room in 3 sections next to the brewery. I would definitely recommend this Brewery to anyone that is looking for great service and great selection of Beers. Also great beer history with a HUGE patio area is always a plus in my book! (Photos posted on this review below was from their Oktoberfest and it was a huge hit!) read more

Had some good beers, saw 3 food trucks ranging from pizza to gyros yo elevated tacos. Here is what sells: Great bartenders that know beer...great venue with multi-tiered corners in A/C, out on various porches, a stage, simply huge without being a parking lot of sun--yet there is a lot to park in which is a huge plus. Dogs welcome--even off-leash in the front-fenced area. Too cool. The beer is well-known but the venue and food trucks seal the deal as you can't go wrong inside or out. read more

Solid beer, beautiful taproom, nice beertenders. I continue to not understand why they pump their music so loud. This place should be pretty chill - there's nine people here either chatting (or trying to) or working as I type - but they're blasting the music as always. It's kind of bizarre, doesn't fit the vibe, but they always do it. Thus I knocked off a star. Look for oyster nights, a real highlight here. read more

The beer garden is excellent at Celis. They have a dedicated bar serving the beer garden as well as several food trucks. They have a long list of draft beers available hitch is where many breweries fall short with limited options on draft. I'd skip the main tap room unless there is an event going on in there. Weather permitting, the beer garden and the beers on tap are the stars. Top 3 Austin brewery in my book. Had both the Celis White Witbier (standard on the draft menu) and the Celis Kriek (seasonal) and both are excellent. read more

First the Good. It is fairly dog friendly. Nice space and dogs can go into each part of the venue. Second the adequate. The Beer is fine. No better or worse that the other microbreweries in the area. The TERRIBLE. The Staff is at best indiferent and usually just plain RUDE. The manager is among the worst of them. I have been there four times and had the same result. I will spend my money and time elsewhere. read more

Came here to hang out with a small group on a Wednesday night. They have a big open space well suited to groups big and small. They also have events pretty regularly like weekly trivia and I saw posters for a democratic debate viewing party happening the next day. The vibe here is very relaxed, they're dog friendly, have a couple of board games and a ping pong table. They had a food truck outside that seems to rotate fairly often. If you're up around the area and looking for a chill place to hang out after work you can't beat the vibe. The only thing I had to give them a small knock for was the beer. I tried a flight and went mostly with the (very friendly I might add) bartenders recommendations. Outside of their standard witte they were all quite extreme versions of their respective flavors. Their hazy ipa was super biter and lacked that usual juicy quality you'd expect from the name. The lime Berliner weisse and raspberry wheat were both missing much non fruit flavor. If you has given them to me blind I would have thought they were both sours. read more

Came with some friends to enjoy North Atx breweries. As an Austin transplant, I first heard about it through my first 6-pack from HEB. I fell in love with their Celis White, and I was super stoked when we walked into their beautiful tap room. The taptenders are behind the bar that's built in a cool circular format with glossy wood for a vintage feel. The taproom itself is huge and spacious. Service was downright wonderful, and their restrooms are clean and easy to access. We sat at the tap tending area, but there are TONS of spaces and tables for larger groups. I can see this place as a hangout for all of my friends if only we lived closer! The beers are lovely too. I got the flight of four because there were so many I wanted to taste. My favorite ones were the Juicy IPA and Grand Cru. The Passionfruit leaned more on the sour side, and the pineapple one was tasty, but on the pale-r side of my tastes. In all, the selection was wonderful and I feel like any beer lover can find something they want to drink. Parking is plentiful, the interior is spacious, and they're dog-friendly indoors. That's basically everything every beer person can ask for. I also love that you can find Celis in your neighborhood grocery store! BEER FOR THE PEOPLE! read more

I've come here for a while without issues but the new hospitality manager told me they don't want kids here anymore and asked us to leave.

I recently visited Austin after quite a few years, and maaaan... has it changed. Aside from all of the gentrification and inflation, there are some pretty positive things happening here. Food joints and breweries are everywhere it seems! That said, Celis is one fine brewery. My Austinite friend and I stopped through for a few cold ones. Great service, chill atmosphere, huge drink selection. read more

The outdoor lighting drew us to this place. There are seats outside and inside and they serve delicious craft beer. There are also daily specials that we want to return for, such as, oysters on the half shell for $1 each served on Tuesdays. We brought our craft beers outside and enjoyed them immensely. The customer service you get is above and beyond! Thank you!! They have good prices and you get what you pay for. This is a must place to try and I recommend it to anyone that loves a good dark - or light - craft beer. You will not be disappointed you came. read more

The beer was good, customer service was some of the worst that I have experienced in a long while.

Celis Brewery is a brewery in the domain area. Offers plenty of outdoor seating with a very large lawn. Many people will bring their dogs as this is a dog friendly business. They have seating from picnic tables, high top, and adirondack chairs. There is also outdoor yard games available. They also host a variety of events I have gone to their free yoga class on the lawn and they have a stage for outdoor performances. There isn't a kitchen available but they do have a food truck out back you can grab a bite. This is a family friendly spot as you will see people from many ages. read more

This is officially my favorite Brewery for happy hour in North Austin. Their selection is amazing and the atmosphere is both relax and inviting. I highly recommend the raspberry beer and the sour cherry one, I can't wait to go back and try their tropical fruits and lime! They have a taco truck with very good braised Tacos and que so as well. read more

Celis Brewery - Mango Belgian beer - Breweries Near Me - Austin, Texas

This is a journey in history and flavor well worth taking. It's good to have such a long-loved piece of Austin history revived. It is not without irony that the brewery is not only revived, but has evolved with Austin. It's up north where the population is booming. It has a polished, old-school-chic tasting room much like many of the new eateries and pubs in Austin. But, unlike most of the new eateries and pubs catering to millennials, this place actually has organic roots in Austin and it's new digs reflect Celis' heritage. The tasting room is spacious and multi-leveled. It's shape almost gives you the feel of being inside a giant vat in the brewery. The walls are lined with images of Pierre Celis and his brewery after coming from Europe to give Austin the taste of his homeland. The original craft brewery disappeared after a major corporate buyout. But now Celis' daughter has fought to bring the brewery home and the brews stay true to the heritage of it's founder. Sipping a Celis White here brings back great memories of the 90's and the tasting room allows you to connect with the brew's passionate creators. There are many more brews than just the White on tap. The staff today are also passionate about the beers they present and you can enjoy flights of the craft brews you select. It is well worth the trip. read more

Cool venue, great beer, good food trucks.. what more could you want?! Their outdoor beer garden is perfect for enjoying a cold one with friends (furry ones included). We came on a weekday evening and it was pretty laid back, but I can imagine it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Plenty of space to hang out though. Didn't get a chance to check out the taproom, but I know we'll be back! The juicy IPA was our favorite. read more

I love this place because they are super dog friendly with some of the best food truck options.

I was soooo happy to finally get a chance to come here as I have been wanting to for a while! This place did not disappoint and I am so happy those of us on the North-ish side can add another stellar brewery to what seems to be an ever-growing arsenal! The vibe here is just great and the decor/ambiance is fantastic as well! I was no expecting it to look so fancy when I first walk in and I LOVE the open concept w/the still-shaped bar in the middle! They do a great job of presentation, to be sure and this extends to their beers. I did a flight and enjoyed the 4 beers I got, but my hands down fav was the Grand Cru! You can do a brewery tour and they have ping pong, a food truck out front, and trivia on Tuesdays, so there is always something to do. Will def be back! read more

Quick updated review for Celis because the place has radically changed since our last visit. We met friends here on Saturday and had no idea that they had completely redone their outdoor area (basically modeled on the Meanwhile space), which we throughly enjoyed. There's plenty of seating (though some of the picnic tables have seen better days) and a "play area" that is obviously intended for kids to go wild in. Food trucks are around the corner outside and there's a well-equipped bar too. Service inside was friendlier than outside but that could be because it was a much chiller scene in there. We still like the beer here (white ale, lager, pils, not so much the IPA) but their frozen green apple concoction that one of us sampled was truly DISGUSTING. What on Earth!? Anyway, new and improved and we'd be happy to come again. Incidentally it was opening day at the stadium. Listos! read more

Celis is a great place to hang out with friends with a nice cold beer in hand. They have plenty of tables and seating areas on their patio. I stopped by with friends on a Friday after work and loved the live music. Multiple food trucks are located around the patio area which are slightly overpriced but delicious nonetheless. We split a pizza and a couple tacos, all of which I recommend if you have the munchies. read more

I've been coming here on Monday evenings for Geeks Who Drink Trivia with a group of friends. The location is really neat and is made up of several parts with two bars and some outdoor patio areas with food drunks as well. The have a rotating menu with fun seasonal specials like the Mexican Hot Chocolate Lager as well as a selection os seltzer that are pretty flavorful like ginger and grapefruit. Prices are fair and its always a fun time! read more

Very impressed. Not from the area and it was nice to sit to listen to live music, hang out with my friends and enjoy a cold brew. Also surprised that it was family friendly that I had my 4yr old and she was able to run around on the turf and play with other kids. The downer was that there was only 1 awesome food truck, The Backdraft Pizza. Was not disappointed. read more

I spent some real time here last weekend and I already want to go back. They have a great beer selection with various styles, so anyone can find something they like. On this occasion the bartender mixed the peach and Grand Cru to make a Depeche Mode. Yuuuum! Try it! The outdoor space is very chill and super spacious. The taco trucks were on extremely long waits on a Saturday night, but thankfully we were able to order via DoorDash for delivery. read more

I've been to Celis several times now. If you haven't been in while, they now have a beer garden. Along with the beer garden they also have more food trucks along with their tried and true pizza food truck. They have a nice selection beers, and they also now have hard seltzers, which I'm thrilled to have as an option. It's very dog friendly, which I love even though I don't have a dog of my own. They also have events here frequently, including trivia and a stage for music in the beer garden. There was a female duet that was awesome, and another time a guy who... wasn't awesome. Win some, lose some. read more

Celis Brewery was a super interesting experience with my family who was visiting. We got initial drinks in one part of the Brewery and then ended up in the secondary location. It was a hot day so we all ordered a variety of things. I especially loved the coconut seltzer as it was not too coconuty and not too sweet. I loved every beer I had here! I would definitely recommend this place to visiting family or to someone who just wants to meet up for a beer. read more

Came here to meet up with friends while visiting Austin. This place was great since the outdoor area was very spacious for our kids to run around. I thought their beers were good, but nothing that will blow your mind per say. This brewery seriously has it all! I'm a fan of their lime Berliner Weiss which tastes like a sour and their juicy IPA. Their beer tastes even better when they're half off during Happy Hour (Mon-Tues 3-6pm)! Celis also stands out with its lineup of events -- Trivia on Mon/Thurs, bingo on Sat, live music, and probably many more. And to top it all off, in addition to their main taproom, they also have a huge beer garden with lights, cornhole, food trucks, and a dedicated taproom! Dogs are welcome too!!! read more
