I have been calling playing phone tag with him. he called yesterday and left a message asking what's the problem when I've explained to him same day what it's now going, left messages with staff to tell him and nothing. so now I'm having to get diagnostics done elsewhere on what this new issue is. car rpms idle upon putting gas inside tank, turn on the car while still at the pump, rpm jumps then goes low about to cut off. this is the reason I fear him working on my car for the future. not a good look. I sure hope James spann from fox 6 news don't depend on you for working on his cars because you're awful. My Corvette sometimes wouldn't start, and I had just had an engine replaced in August. It turned out to be something as simple as the car being a manual transmission with a neutral lock--something no one at Edwards Chevrolet could tell me. This leads me to believe not only are the service clerks (Luci was a great clerk) unexperienced, but the technicians must not be very knowledgeable either. The service clerk Brooks literally told me over the phone, before he acted like a grown man, that no one wants to work on my car. I immediately replied, "Well then let me speak to a manager so I can figure out why." He then changed his attitude and started being professional all of a sudden. That made me suspicious. I told two managers at Edwards Chevrolet that their employee spoke to a customer in that way, and they didn't seem the slightest bit surprised. (Marty Phillips and a Mr. Short.) Manager Mr. Short at Edwards Chevrolet said there were cameras positioned at every bay and he would follow up with me to ensure there was no foul play with my vehicle on 10/16. Since then he's ignored my calls and texts. Marty Phillips didn't even care to investigate. He started mentioning how long everyone had worked there, as if that would prove I'm lying. After reviewing their work on October 16, I found three faults: Drained oil A hose that was detached and not placed back A connector disconnected from my starter I am a 27-year-old United States Army veteran, and I think this business is TRASH. No communication. No accountability. No integrity. I'm ashamed that an American business like Chevrolet is attached to Edwards. Very emotionally charged staff. Very unprofessional. Don't trust this dealership.

I came to the dealership to look at a particular car that had just been traded in. I was assigned…read moresalesman Rob Hurt, and he was incredibly helpful and patient as I explored not only that vehicle but several others on the lot. Before leaving that first visit, I test drove a vehicle that I really liked. Rob explained that I could place a $300 refundable deposit to hold the car while I finalized the insurance and financing details related to my totaled vehicle. Since the deposit was refundable, there was no risk, so I decided to put it down before leaving. Over the next several days, I made a few visits to the dealership to make sure it was truly the right vehicle for me. I even brought my son back so he could test drive it and give it another look. Rob was very patient and accommodating through the entire process. There was one visit where I became quite frustrated and was honestly tempted to walk out. I was simply trying to keep the car on hold and needed to leave so I could get my son home to study for an exam. However, either Mr. Hurt or his manager, Shomari, kept attempting to run my credit and finance the vehicle through their system even after I explained that I would be securing financing through my credit union. That part of the experience felt unnecessarily pressured, and I did express my frustration to Rob. One interesting feature of the process was their high tech system where you go into a private room and complete a virtual meeting to review warranty options and sign paperwork electronically. That was actually a pretty neat and modern experience. During the process, I received an email from Service Director Mr. Bowlin asking how everything was going. I replied honestly and explained the frustration from my most recent visit, but unfortunately I never received a response. I was eventually able to finalize the deal and complete the purchase. Rob was wonderful throughout the entire process, and I truly do not believe he was the one pushing to run my financing through their banks. That was simply the impression I got. Within a week of purchasing the vehicle, the car alerted me that it needed an oil change. I reached out to Rob to ask if the dealership might take care of that in good faith since I had just purchased the vehicle. He checked with the service department and told me they could perform the service, but that I would be charged for it. Personally, I feel that a large, reputable dealership should at minimum ensure the oil is fresh before selling a used vehicle. Shortly after that, Mr. Bowlin emailed again asking what they could have done differently to earn a five star review. I responded and shared the same concerns mentioned here. Unfortunately, I never received a reply to that email either. Overall, the experience was a positive one, largely thanks to Rob's patience and professionalism. A side note worth mentioning (in my opinion) is there are positive affirmations in the restrooms and Christian music playing in the building. My only disappointment was the lack of follow up when I shared concerns and gave the dealership an opportunity to address them. For that reason, I'm leaving four stars instead of five.

Watch out the service manager really run up a repair. The owner was unsympathetic and acted like he had better things to do than listen to my concerns. I needed my truck fixed. Their initial quote was higher than another by $140. They have a great looking building on the outside and I assumed I was paying for top notch work. They assured the truck's return later that afternoon, knowing I needed the vehicle for work. They called back and suggested a radiator on top of the requested water pump. They said it would be cheaper to do both. My radiator was working fine, but it was older and I should replace it now. Next, they acted like it was a real challenge for them to fix my vehicle. They had a hard time locating a GM radiator and then kept it through the weekend and again all day Monday. They literally charged me 3 times what it would be from a wholesaler. For a common Chevy radiator, they acted like they did me a favor finding one for $500. I went to them looking for my new repair shop. I feel like they took advantage of me being in a hurry to get it fixed and they lost a potential solid customer. Oddly, they told me my temperature gauge was broken when I went to pick it up. I had already told them to allow the motor to warm up properly. Apparently they didn't bother, the gauge works just fine, but they wouldn't put the time in to really check. Next they accused me of trying to get the gauge fixed for free by lying that it worked when I brought it in. I was flabbergasted, I had to pay a premium price for their late repair, then I got called a liar because they wouldn't even bother warm up the motor on a new radiator installation. I bet they are good mechanics, when they want to be, but they mishandled my repair, wasted my time, and then demanded top dollar after admitting they had no idea how to get my gauge working. They repeatedly told me the diagnostic machine didn't give them an answer so they couldn't fix it. The owner basically called me a liar when actually they were not very thorough with their assessment. Who tells a client you broke his gauge, can't fix it, call him dishonest and then still be wrong about the gauge even being broke? They have lousy people skills and I can only assume they are lazy mechanics. They still have no idea that my temperature gauge works and they just let me leave upset. They offered me no compromise of any kind.

The heart and soul of the crew is husband and wife team, Norman & Grace, who have served the town of Birmingham for decades. So, when you see that those rates might be a little higher, understand you get what you pay for. When mistakes are made causing you to have to return, know that they stand behind their work. Lastly, there are endless variations of vehicles, makes, and models. We got there this morning at 06:55, we were second in line. The service doors opened promptly at 07:00. We were greeted by a gentleman at 07:05, when it was our turn. He took our information and said that it shouldn't be "too long". He directed us to the waiting area and offered us coffee or water. My wife and I sat down and watched the news and chatted for a minute. At 07:30 we were called by the same gentleman and told our Acadia was ready to go. He had it out front, with the AC on waiting for us. He said it was a warranty recall and he would take care of the paperwork after we were gone but didn't want us to have to wait any longer. He thanked us for stopping by and we were on our way. Pulled out of the parking lot at 07:35. Not sure what kind of repair this was or how long it typically takes but was impressed by the customer service and friendly employees. Would highly recommend! Thank you Royal GMC!

I usually come on Saturday morning and get there before 8 o'clock when they open so I won't be waiting too long. My enclave had a recall on the airbag and I've been waiting for the airbag to come in. I've been dealing with Ralph Daniel and he is so professional and always gets back to me. The lobby is very nice with free water bottles and coffee. There is also a charging station for phones. Always come here because I know I'm gonna get my oil changed correctly. It's a little pricey, but worth it for the piece of mine.
