We knew what we were looking for and the sales person pointed us in the direction of the cars we wanted to look at. We went down the row looking at the different cars. Once you find one you like, you can scan the QR code to see if it is available. I liked that the cars were open so we could get in and see what the interior was like without having to bother anyone. We found one we liked and went and told someone inside. They then brought the car around and told us to take it for a test drive after getting some basic info from us. After the test drive, we went back inside and bought the car. No pressure, no haggling. I looked up same make, model, mileage, and year online and CarMax price was better than the others I saw for sale. We were in and out in under two hours. Fastest car purchase I ever made. My son will be looking to buy a car soon and I am definitely going to make him go to a CarMax near him. They really do have the best selection of cars and you can have a lot of cars shipped to your nearest location if you see one you like better at another CarMax. If it isn't super far away, it will ship for free. But if it's far the shipping fee isn't that bad if you really think it is the car you want. We have had cars shipped twice now and have bought both of them.

But instead of getting back to me after I had test-driven a car that I had paid to have shipped from another CarMax and that I had said was quite a nice car, he told me that 'it had been very busy', offering that as an excuse as to why the car that should have been on hold for me was now promised to another customer. He then said he would 'sell me the car, if I would buy it today', thus leaving the customer to whom the car was currently promised, without a car or an explanation, I suspect. Very disappointing.

But, the main issue is that I did not have any engine leak and then they spillled oil all over my engine and then I drove it home 20 miles, Birmingham Traffic and cleaned it with engine cleaner, but then a month or 2 later, I noticed an oil leak at the Head Gasket on the exterior top of the engine. So, I still have that leak and it is under warranty so I cannot change my gasket myself. But I think it would have not developed that leak had they not spilled oil on it somehow, some kind of a scam, break your engine, fix your engine for $1000's....so beware....of the .... Stealership....a lot of shifty eyes and brand new furnished waiting room with big Screen TV. I cannot directly blame them, but why did they spill oil all over my engine and not clean it off? The actual Receiving Service Dept. in the New Building add on is very professional and nice polite honest looking, cashiers and they do their job, but the actual work done in the back shed, I don't know? They did not even tell me they spilled oil all over my engine for just an oil and filter change. The Leeds AL Dealer said they rotated my wheels when they actually did not...I even called them back after home and they said yes we did, but the brake dust was still on all 4 wheels and they always always always (100%) leave fingerprints in brake dust on the wheel when they take it off, they have to...they do not have robots for this in Birmingham Dealer Service Dept.'s I purchased it in Bessemer Dealer, which has very few cars on the lot in 2025.

I was quoted over $2200 for the 60k service. Mind you, my car has literally 50,000 miles and is still practically new and I take extremely good care of it. I was so shocked by how casually they quoted me that price and how the salesperson/technician kept such a straight face while trying to explain why it cost that much. The part that made me concerned was him saying I needed a new battery (which was true although mine was only 18 months old) but quoting me $450 for it... I went straight to autozone and showed a technician- first, I got the exact same battery purchased and immediately installed for $220. Then, he spent over an hour with me explaining each service and the parts needed, and told me I could buy every single thing at autozone and take my car to Pepboys for them to perform the services for under $1k TOTAL. He literally said that the dealership was scamming the daylights out of me. As a woman who is clueless about cars I know I have to be careful not to be taken advantage of by greedy salespeople like this, but it's sad! I will not be coming back. They also charged $120 FOR AN OIL CHANGE.... I wasn't told the price until after it was completed, I should've asked up front, but I would never have expected that. It's literally $30 to buy a quart of fully synthetic oil and it takes 20 mins max to change the oil, it's all under the hood of the car (not even underneath the car) on my model! ROBBERY!!!!

He was fantastic with explaining everything, making sure I had all the accessories that came with my truck, explaining the financing options, etc. This dealership had the best price on the truck with the options that I wanted anywhere around. Plus Justin showed me their "care" sheet which was everything that their dealership did with the vehicle after they got it, which even had included dent repairs, new tires, wiper blades, oil change, air filters, etc. They even helped me get a second key for the truck as it only came with one from the previous buyer. There was ZERO pressure to buy a more expensive model. They didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. They made sure I was aware of the available insurances and warranty plans and the actual cost of those plans. They also showed me interest rates from several financial institutions to make sure I got the best loan rate. I would absolutely buy another vehicle from here and deal with Justin again.

I bought a truck here in December of 2020 and came back again in 2025 for a Corvette--because apparently I make excellent financial decisions when I walk through their doors. But the real reason I keep coming back is the service department. Every bit of maintenance on my vehicles has been done here, and they've never given me a reason to even think about going somewhere else. The folks in the back always treat me right--professional, friendly, and they don't make me feel like I need to bring a sleeping bag while I wait. Quick, prompt service every time. People ask me all the time why I don't just get my vehicles serviced locally, like at Tuscaloosa Chevrolet. I tell them the same thing: I like knowing when I show up, I actually have a spot and a plan. Being able to schedule an appointment beats rolling the dice with drive-up service and hoping for the best. And I'd be leaving out an important detail if I didn't mention the handheld donuts and coffee--they're a nice touch to help feed the fatty cells and wake up some sleepy eyes. Truth be told, I don't even wander too close to that area anymore... those donuts are just a little too tempting. At the end of the day, I've never had a bad experience here--and when something works this well, I'm not about to "fix" it by going somewhere else. As long as I'm driving vehicles I bought here, they'll be the ones taking care of them.
