Due to my circumstances it was somewhat of a crisis for me. I had my vehicle towed to JR's shop. Simply put, it was the best decision I could have made. JR was quick, but thorough in his diagnosis of my problem, very understanding of my situation as well. When he received the parts we ordered for replacement, he was very honest and up front about how the quality of the replacement parts did not meet his standard, and he was not ok with putting them in my vehicle. JR explained a couple of alternatives for me, and helped me find a solution. Well when we got there they was closing so the guy came out and ask what was wrong with it and we told him that the heating hose needed to be replaced remind you we open the hood and showed him and he could see the antifreeze was leaking out on the ground so he told us to fill out form telling what wrong with it and drop it in the night box so we did, he said they would call in the morning this was Thursday so Friday we waited an waited no call... so I called and he said he haven't got a chance to look at it and would call before the end of the day but he didn't. So I called an ask if they was open on Saturday and he said no...smh. So Monday he called and said it was going to be 583.00 and I said wow just to replace the hose and antifreeze really!!! I asked him to give me a breakdown on the cost and the man said first there is a $100 for a diagnostics test I said I did not ask nor did you tell me that you had to do one, I told you what I needed done so there no need for that test then went on to say both hoses need to be replaced and coolant fitting for both and antifreeze (x3.00) long story short two hoses and coolant fitting and dex-cool antifreeze (he called it )the parts was $267.00 that was for one the other hose was $177.61 I said wow say what? So I told him I was not able to get that done and I was going to call him back he said ok. I called back and told him I was going to get it towed home, and he informed me that I would have to pay for the diagnostics test and it would be $115 I said you said it was $100 yesterday and you didn't tell me that you was or had to do a test before you ran one and this man said that the $15 was for the supplies we used for the test...long story short I payed it to get my truck!!! This shop is robbing people! I feel they was so so wrong how they did me I will never ever go back there and I will tell everyone I know or run into how they will rob you. They suck!!! Traveling from Illinois to Florida in 95-100 degree heat and our pickup truck had an issue with the…read morefrom brakes. Pulled into a gas station at the Alabaster exit and a State Trooper told us about a good repair shop a short distance away. Tried to make it to the shop and ended up having to call a tow. The tow truck was from A to Z he hooked us up safely and put us in the cool air conditioned tow truck and hauled us to their shop. This all happened on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm! They got us in quickly, accessed the situation and ordered parts. The staff at this shop are amazing. Welcomed us in gave us cold water and snacks if we were hungry. The best part is the owner was on vacation and the secretary called him repeatedly to get instructions as how to handle our repair. He was very considerate of the fact we wanted to get home, he paid for a mechanic to stay late and fix our truck once they could get the parts. He stayed in touch with us and kept us apprised of the progress,. Bottom line we got our truck repaired and back on the road that evening and made it back to Florida. Can't thank the staff and the owner of this shop enough . Best service and turned a bad situation into a good one. Highly recommend this Shop. Thanks guys
