I was there at 8:00am sharp. The mechanic and parts were not here yet, so I had to wait a bit. The brake rotors arrived, but not the pads, so they had to be ordered and a little more wait. I'm not sure that I will exactly recommend Scott. He was very accommodating years ago, but his word and dependability has diminished over the years. He installed a new starter on my vehicle and told me that it had a lifetime warranty. That was not true. He told me to call the vendor where he purchased it from and they would be able to honor the warranty once I give his business name. That was not accurate. He also told me that he could find nothing wrong with my Infiniti and made me pay for a full inspection. Turns out, I found out that I needed a fuel pump. I gave him grace for a while, but was disappointed when he did not honor that lifetime warranty and he was unbothered about it. @Terri, this further confirms your lack of integrity or care for your customers due to this account being under my maiden name. read more

Went here ONLY because it was the closest place to take my broken down car only for them to take 5 DAYS to not even fix it. Charged me $146 for a "diagnostics" fee and couldn't even tell me what the issue was. They also wanted to charge me $1,000 to maybe fix the issue. Would not recommend this place even if it is your last resort. Just pay to get your car towed somewhere else. read more

Our family was traveling to Florida and our air conditioning went out just before Birmingham. We called Scott's 1st thing Sat morning and asked if they could take a look and they said sure bring it in. Within minutes they had our car in the garage and were checking it out. Within an hour they were ordering the needed parts and working on it! Everyone was so nice starting with Nick who took our call to offering us drinks and Scott even offered to pick us up lunch! The waiting room was clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were cleaner than most of our stops on the way! My husband's truck broke down on the way out of town. He drove to the nearest rental car place and parked the truck and rented a car so he could make it to where he was going. I found Scott's on yelp and called them to see if they could fix the truck. They were kind and helpful from the get go. Recommended a towing service and fixed the truck the next day. The truck had a collision claim due to hitting a deer a few weeks prior. They recommended a collision place and the truck is now there being repaired. We were in a different state the entire time and they accommodated us without hesitation!! This is the place to go for your auto repairs!! Four pm in the afternoon the July 4th Holiday weekend got stranded in the middle of the road in Pelham, AL. Scott came and got me out of traffic and got my truck to his shop. Scott's did more damage than repair. They replaced the air suspension on my Town Car but now the car sits 2 inches lower than standard. I had to take it elsewhere to have it adjusted to the right height. Also the car was struck from behind, supposedly while on their lot, and not while they were test driving it. They called the police and I got a police report for my insurance company, but Scott said he was not responsible. Two repair estimates were $1400 and $1800. I had used him many times before but I don't think I will go there again. read more

Not only do they pinpoint and diagnose the problem quickly, they repair it efficiently and with the greatest respect for me as a customer. All of the good folks I have had the privilege of speaking with at Scott's carry great "can-do, will-do" attitudes, are knowledgeable, and have the equipment needed to diagnose and do the repairs accurately for very reasonable prices. The latest visit was the best one; my truck had a minor problem just before a planned road trip. I drove in to Scott's, they quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and I was on my way in about two hours. Very trustworthy...honorable, do what they say they'll do on time. Just had the opportunity ;) to take my car to Scott's for the 2nd time! Once again I can say It was awesome and reasonable (well as reasonable as car repairs can be) the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the two small grease spots on my headliner but for the amount of $ I saved by NOT taking my Cadillac to Crest I was more than happy to put a spot of dawn on a wet rag and clean those spots myself! read more
