My parents took their 2002 Chevy Silverado in to get the parking brake fixed and have the brakes…read morechecked. They quoted front and rear pads on top of the brake shoes for the parking brake. My parents told them to go ahead and fix it, once the truck was back it sat for about a month until i drove it. I knew the front rotors were warped before they took it in for service and I was a surprised to find out that the rotors were still warped, even after they supposedly did a brake job. I checked the invoice and realized that the tech quoted a pad slap (front and rear) and didn't recommend replacing or even resurfacing the rotors. I also checked the old brake pads and found that they still had 4 to 5 mm of material left and were not in immediate need of replacement. I was expecting to look at the invoice and see a proper brake job that at least included turning the rotors. As a technician myself I'm extremely disappointed in the service we received, i expected better service and communication.

I had a leak after an oil change (never lost a drop before). Audi dealership in Birmingham…read morediagnosed my oil leak as a broken oil pan and replaced my oil pan charging me $800. Oil leak continued the next day and dealership THEN said it was the oil filter housing that would cost $1,200 MORE dollars! I said they were crazy and called a few other auto repair places that work on Audi. Momentum gave a quote for $395 for the same repair. I brought the car in and then told me that it wasn't the oil filter housing, but that someone warped the oil filter gasket during the oil change!!! They did an oil change and cleaned up the oil and charged only $137. I could not be happier with the service and treatment I received at Momentum. Avoid the dealership, but if you go at the very least call Momentum for a second opinion!!!! Dealership is a rip off!

In regards to my prior review…read more..... The owner contacted me personally and appologized for the issues that I had experienced earlier this year. I have to say the experience was not the best BUT having the owner cobtactvme almost 6 months later to appologize for his previous employees (the man who addressed me as hunny was let go... not because of that incident) actions was VERY RESPECTABLE! I can say that I have not experienced any recent issues with my transmission (although we rarely drive that vechicle these days)... The owner did offer to look at the peak in coming from my sunroof as a courtesy as well... So although my previous experience was not fantastic the response and acknowledgment was very unexpected and welcome! Customer service is worth a new review itself!

On my way from Charleston SC to Newport Beach CA on the very first day of the trip we were coming…read moreinto coming into town and the transmission in my 98 Chevy PU started slipping going up hill. After calling a few dealerships and one Napa repair facility I was referred to Mr. Transmission. Jason (store manager) answered the phone and I explained my situation that we were traveling to CA and think we are having a tranny issue. Even though it was 15 minutes before they closed he told me to come by and they would run the diagnostics to see if there were any warnings coming up. We got there and as advertised he stood in the parking lot with his diagnostic equipment in 33 degree weather (yes that cold in Alabama) and ran it. Nothing came up but needed to drive it the next morning to feel the issue. We went ahead and got a hotel for the night and told me to be back at 7:30 so we could take a test drive. Again as advertised he offered me a cup of coffee and we drove from the shop back to my hotel so i could wait there with my family and not sit at the shop all day. Come to find out the engine was misfiring and only needed a full tune up, so 6 hours later all work was complete and Jason still found a way to add a couple of discount specials that saved me some bucks!!!! I can't say enough how impressed and grateful that we found a guy like Jason to get us back up and running with only losing one day to get coast to coast.
