I just had my pool remodeled by CDC and will say all the work crews were very nice & easy to work with. My remodel was close to $10K. Through the entire job the Mgmt. Communication STUNK, not timely, very little details and most of the time it seemed like they couldn't be bothered with a simple phone call. Telling me the next crew would arrive between 8am & 3pm....doesn't cut it and when the crew actually arrived at 6:30am. I waited 2 weeks for them to finish installing my LED light. I originally planned a travertine deck install for another $16K and there is NO WAY they will see more of my business after the pool job. Good communication is a big part of Service and they failed Big Time. read more

CDC pools did a great job on the pool resurface. We used the micro pebble. It looks beautiful and none of our existing tile was damaged during the chip out. However, the communication could be improved. The project did not start on time and no one called to tell us they weren't coming on the stated start date. After the resurface was finished and the pool was filled, one of the guys came out to balance the chemicals and turned the water on again while we weren't home causing the pool to almost overfill. If I didn't check the backyard when I got home from work it would have. I would have appreciated someone letting me know they were going to leave the water on. Overall I would recommend CDC pools because they did a great job on the pool itself. Hopefully, they work on their communication. read more

I would caution anyone who is considering a pool redo NOT utilize this company The salesman, Gerry Herzog stated during the sales pitch that they only used CDC employees. Not true, they used subcontractors who were marginal at best. They showed up with jack hammers at 7 AM, much to the chagrin of my neighbors. This team also were able to make a mess of my personal equipment instead of using their own. The team that painted the entire deck managed to get overspray throughput the pool area, as well as on much of the patio furniture. They also filled in seams with a material that still to this day, 30 days, has not set up. We were never told they would use this silly putty in the seams in lieu of a clean seam. Also, we have never had a final walk through with the so called foreman, Sergio Leyva. read more

We recently had CDC Pools resurface our pool and they did an excellent job! Jerry Herzog did an excellent job in helping us to identify a new surface, tile, and adding a Baja shelf. Anytime we had questions he was quick to respond and was very knowledgable. One of the best qualities in Jerry is that he has a great attention to detail and works to ensure all jobs are done with the highest quality. We had CDC pools come out and redo our Pebble Tec on our pool over the summer. The color seems off and we called the warranty manager to come take a look. He advised that we wait until the fall to acid wash the pool again and make a decision at that time. This past November they came out and acid wash the pool and Ron the warranty person decided that it was unacceptable. He had the crew come in and Jack Hammer out the Pebble Tec and redo our entire pool. To me that speaks volumes of the Integrity of the company. My pool looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Yes it took longer to complete but we swam all summer anyway. Thank you CDC pools. read more

I am updating this today as the project progresses. After an initial problem with an expectation management issue with one of CDC Pool's sales associates followed up by his inappropriate lecture of me, I am pleased to say that it has been wonderful working with Adam from CDC pools. Adam is the foreman on our job and coordinates all the individual jobs that must take place to get us swimming this season. Adam has been incredibly responsive. He has adhered the the old business adage of under promise and over deliver. We're now in week 5 of a 4 week project with about 2-3 weeks to go. I will continue to update this as we go. read more

Hired CDC Pools for a travertine pool deck job in a residential backyard. No communication whatsoever prior to the project starting. Day 1 - entered rear yard through side gate 1 hour late without knocking or saying a word to us. Day 2 - same thing. Day 3 - same thing but only worked 40 min then left without saying a word. Had to call foreman at 2pm to see what was going on as only 20% of the job was done at this time. Foreman arrives to tell me this is tedious work and they're doing "12 other jobs at the same time right now" but ensured me everything would be done by end of the week (in 2 days) because mine was an "easy project." 7 days later the team completed the job. Following the project we find the workers had been urinating all over the side of our house directly outside the kitchen and 10 feet from my daughters window. Our bathroom was made available to these guys throughout the whole project and they knew it - per the foreman. Brought to attention of the foreman and told they'd clean it up. Came a couple days later and sprayed it down with water, made requested repairs to the travertine project and left. *Pool wasn't bubble wrapped (like the contract said it would be)for the first 3 days allowing concrete, sand, and cardboard to float or rest on the floor of our pool *5 gallon bucket filled to the top with water left 10 feet from our rear door overnight with our toddler inside *Food wrappers, cigarette butts, empty water and soda bottles, and a microwave strewn about the front/side yard all week. Enough to draw the attention of our neighbors asking what's going on *Blasted Spanish music so loud throughout the day we got comments from neighbors Ken with Desert Gator Pools was nice and apologetic reference his part in this - thanks. When it came to final payment I made CDC office aware of the urinating issue and they simply sent a return email saying "thanks for your payment, here's your receipt" and made no attempt at apologizing or having someone reach out to us. Final project looks good but WAY TOO MANY complaints for me to ever recommend this company. My advice - Don't use CDC Pools! read more

I picked CDC pools based on several factors. quote pricing, location, response time, customer service and design selection. They topped the list on everything I was looking at compared with several other similar businesses. I got pebble Tec, new tiles and the step tiles in an upgraded banded type. The pool looks fantastic, they got done as scheduled, left no mess and were a breeze to work with. Any questions I had were responded to very quickly. Seeing as I have no clue about pools, I felt confident with choosing them to do the job and me no having to worry about anything. If I ever have to do another pool, I would pick them in a heartbeat. read more

CDC Pools recently completed our remodel. Our sales person, Cassie, was easy to work with and very trustworthy through the design and bid process. The site supervisor, Luis, was incredible. Very flexible in scheduling and his attention to perfection was evident as he managed the job. Each crew member was friendly and respectful of our property. Clean up each day was as though they were never present except for the progress on the pool. Mercedes in the office was much like the site crew, super friendly. Given my experience through the process and touches with several team members, I'd say their Company culture is a real differentiator as the experience with everyone and end result exceeded our expectations. read more

I hired CDC Pools in August 2014 and they resurfaced my pool. I special ordered the 1" glass for a couple of square sections but ordered the 6" in sand colored tiles and had the micro sheen with beads/pyrite sprinkled in the light blue color of the bottom part of pool. Avoid this company at all costs. Pay a little more to have a company with some integrity , one of the biggest mistakes I made was choosing cdc pools to remodel my pool, it was nothing but problems from day one, they will make mistakes and then try to blame them on you. One of the many examples of this was when I watched them damage a brand new pop up head using the wrong tool to install it leaving marks all over it, and then blurts out your dog did that. even though I watched it happen before my eyes. And they love to fix any mistakes they make cheaply with AB epoxy, which will work to cover up the problem just long enough that the problem returns just when it is out of warranty. Save yourself some headaches and go with anyone else but these turds. P.S. I would list all the other issues I had with them but it would make this a long read, and I also need to go find a more reputable company that can help we stop the leaking pool they have left me to suffer with. P.S.S. Pool never leaked until these guys got ahold of it. read more

There were no surprises and the price did not change. They were at the house early each day and cleaned up before leaving each day. Very professional. We have needed to have our pool resurfaced for quite some time. After getting a few price estimates, we decided on CDC Pools and were very happy with them. They make everything so easy. You go to their showroom and pick the colors you want. They explain everything and make the process pretty easy. Cassie and the rest of the working crew were great. We even had it done a week earlier than expected, which was nice! After everything was finished a clean up crew came out to clean up the area and hosed off our cool deck area and rock area and made everything look so nice. Total lack of care for safety!! We just finished our 'build your own pool' project and CDC were recommended to do the plastering. We did get other quotes and although CDC weren't the cheapest, we chose them based on the recommendation. We truly wish we hadn't and would never use them again! They insisted we pay in full by the day before they were due to plaster. We didn't like that and explained that we'd had bad experiences paying up front and work not being completed. The woman on the phone said they had been in business for 30 years and weren't going anywhere. We should have heeded the warning bells! Finally they agreed to hold back 10%, although my husband understood them to say we were PAYING 10% of the remainder. Either way it didn't help because I had to leave a check for the remainder when I left for work on the day they plastered!! They wouldn't give me a time that they were arriving, which was very inconvenient since we have two dogs we had to lock in. Eventually I was told it would be 5:30 am earliest and up to 12:00. The men arrived at 05:00 am and several of them were parked and standing in the street for 20 minutes. They woke my 6 year old son who wasn't then able to get back to sleep. I found who I think was the 'foreman ' and asked what equipment he needed. He started listing things so I told him to come into the garage to look through the four boxes of equipment we had so he could make sure he had everything he needed. He took out different bits, including apparently the drain covers for the spa. I pointed to other items, not knowing what he needed and he said he had it all. I was home for another two hours before I left with my son to drop him off at school and go to work. No one came to say they were missing any parts! When I got home from work that evening the pool was filling and half full. Two days later the pool was filled and we had our Start-up company out. They told us there was a problem! The main drain in the pool wasn't fitted. This should have been done before filling with water. They looked in the box that had contained the spa drains, and there was the main drain. CDC hadn't fitted it, hadn't said anything about it and just left knowing they had our money! Our Start-up guy told us its a big problem fitting it now the pool is full- it needs a diver and is very difficult. But it's a BIG safety hazard for our son who could get sucked in and trapped. Also, the pop-up head cleaners are supposed to be installed three days after start-up, but can't be until the main drain is fitted. I immediately called CDC, being Friday afternoon of course got a voicemail. I left a message and sent an email. Monday came and no word. My husband called and left messages. He finally spoke to a woman who said someone would call us back that day. No one called. I left more messages Monday and Tuesday. Finally got through to a person Tuesday after several calls and voicemails and no responses. The woman was very unhelpful. She said she was waiting to hear back from someone (I'm guessing the foreman) because she kept saying she wasn't there and didn't know what happened. She DID know what happened- I told her several times!! I explained this was why we'd been concerned paying up front, because now they had no incentive to fix the problem. She didn't care and just kept saying she was waiting to hear back. I asked when we could expect this fixed, and she said I should have put all the boxes outside. I pointed out I had shown the foreman ALL the boxes, and he took the drain covers for the spa, but left the main drain which was in the same box!! I was also there for two more hours if he HAD missed something. She said they didn't knock on doors or call customers. So they just leave and walk away with no mention and a safety hazard to our son! She wasn't concerned about that either and said she had no idea of a time frame she might hear back. It's been almost a week since they messed up and no one is responding, no one is helping and we have no idea how to get this fixed. We have a brand new, expensive pool that we can't use, and a very sad and disappointed 6 yr old!! We wish we'd never used CDC and should remember anyone who insists on being paid in full BEFORE the job is complete is NOT professional! Stay well clear! Customer service is non existent and they don't care about safety!! read more

I had called two other places trying to get a quote and people had come out and measured and took photos, but never produced a quote. Luckily, I reached out to Cassie with CDC pools and she was able to write me a quote on the spot to re do our pool. She was fantastic. She gave us many options to consider and quoted them all for us. The next step was the showroom, she met us with our crazy schedule and helped us select the surface and tile. She was extremely helpful. Our supervisor Lane, contacted us the day before our set date and came out for the inspection. He was very good at keeping me informed when all the different people were coming out - plumbers, tile, water feature cleaner etc. He was very responsive with any questions I had. I was also impressed with the efficiency they provided to solve a minor mis communication we had at the end with the plumbers. Both Lane and Cassie responded and had plumbers out in two days to hook up my water feature. Missed during their initial work. We love our pool, it looks fantastic. Also, request Doc? From the initial meeting with Tim Gissel, until completion of our pool everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. The new interior is a caribbean blue with the accenting tiles a perfect match. The crews started and finished as expected. The roll beam in the back was flattened and replaced with travertine pavers that match very well with the current finish of the rest of the deck. I would highly recommend CDC pools! read more

I Love my pool don't like what it took to get done. Employees are beyond friendly but not good at getting things done in a timely manner.

After 2 months the pool deck drains are popping up and the deck surface itself scratches, mars and scuffs down to the white texture material very easily from normal use. I was able to get some touch up paint to do touch up and it's slightly lighter then the original color so it doesn't match. When I asked the work supervisor he said it would take 45 days to cure, it''s now 2 months and no change. It is nothing like my old decking surface which was basically scratch and scuff resistant. If I were to do this over I would not use or recommend CDC Pools. read more

Update - another month and they finally got it corrected. So much hassle having to call them multiple times and deal with multiple people. It seemed they never could remember you or the issue (even overnight). It's like starting over at square one. They even sent one tech over who evidently couldn't do the job, but told no one. The office claims they don't even know who they sent or that he did not perform. I'll look elsewhere next time. I did give them two stars however, since they finally got it done. Horrible, horrible, horrible. We hired this compony to retexture our pool. They quoted us 7k (not too bad). We paid half before the job started and the rest once the job is completed. At first they were supper nice and very responsive. While the job was in progress, we noticed they broke a pipe. They said it was all going to be taken care of and not to worry about anything. Once the job was completed they called us every day for payment. After constant pressure we finally paid the rest even though they promised they would fix the broken pipe. The job has been "completed" for over 2 months and we are still having issues. The pool light doesn't work and the pipe is still leaking. We will never use them again and we will not recommend this compony to anyone we know. read more

Called at 4:07 PM on Thursday 8/23/2018 to get a quote for services and a female answered took my information and said she would have to have an "Estimator" get in touch with me. Fast forward to 08/28/2018 I still haven't gotten a call back so I went into the office to see whats up, and the Lady at the desk I mentioned I may have called around 4 P.M. She said "oh so you talked to the VM? No I spoke with a young lady who said an estimator would call me and I never got a call back." "oh if you would have called at that time you would've gotten a voicemail." Mean while it took her 5 minutes to help me when I Walked in the store. Funny because this interaction just lost you guys a nice job THAT I WAS READY to PAY IN FULL BEFORE U WOULDVE STARTED. Maybe you should worry about addressing your customers needs in Person than being a juvenile and in other words insinuating I was lying. read more

Nothing to do with pools. One of employees in a van was driving like a maniac today on hunt hwy and empire. This driver was in such a hurry. Nearly rear ended a big truck in the middle of Ellsworth and empire rd So desperate to get ahead of this truck cut off another driver to pass truck. Thought the van may flip as he swerved so quickly. Then continued to tailgate car ahead of him hitting breaks often as he was riding the guys back bumper all the way down empire rd. Maybe he or she has an excuse but if I was the owner this is a terrible representation of my company. Going to seriously injure or kill someone. If I had more time I would of followed to get the plate number or van number and call the sheriff department. Watch out for CDC Vans on the roads. read more

Just finished a swimming pool resurfacing by CDC Pools. We had a mini-pebble surface installed, replaced the waterline tile and pool light, and added a self-filling automatic water leveler. CDC did a great job from start to finish. They arrived when they said they would, brought big crews for the labor-intensive work so it got done fast, left everything immaculately clean, and best of all, their pricing beat out the competition. While I hope I won't need this work done again for many years, I would not hesitate to use CDC again and heartily recommend them to anyone needing a pool renovation. read more

CDC Pools just completed a major commercial pool remodel ($50k+) for me. The good: - the final product is beautiful - I had one primary (and friendly and helpful) point of contact through the entire project - the few additional people I spoke with on the phone were also helpful and friendly - the price, while def not cheap, was fair for the scope involved - the few change orders that we added were value add that I'm glad we had the conversations about, such as upgrading to a var speed pump However, a few points brought what could be a 5 star job down: - Major: it should have been done months earlier. It was ten months from signing to county approval. Maybe two months were lost due to approvals out of their control. But CDC Pools was at 95% done for about six months, and due to coordination and follow-thru, it took six more months to take it to completion. For instance, the pool failed inspection twice before passing, and almost all of the items listed on the second failure were also on the first. And while the pool was useable during this time and this led to no out of pocket costs to me, it took me pushing and reminding every few weeks or it might have dragged on even longer. - Minor: I had upgraded to a var speed pump, but upon installing and turning on the pump, noone programmed it or communicated to me or my pool maintenance crew that that was needed; we all assumed they had set it based on their calcs of pool size. I only discovered the issue upon receiving a $400 utility bill! (Now it's about $80/mo). - Minor: Similarly, I upgraded to an LED pool light. But I only recognized that an incandescent was installed in similarly questioning them upon looking at detailed power usage stats. At the end of the day, the pool looks great. It was a complicated project, beyond the scope of some smaller companies I had met with, and done at a fair price. And I do have confidence on the quality given the business they have in the area, and they clearly are experienced from conversations I've had during the project. But it just took far longer than it should have and far more engagement from me to keep it moving and to follow up on details. read more

After meeting with three other pool contractors, my parents referred us to CDC pools for a remodel project and we sure are glad that we chose CDC. From the start to the finish, Jason was absolutely amazing in helping us. Very prompt to come out for an estimate and Jason was very patient throughout the process. He is such a professional and kind individual, will truly give you his opinion if asked about choices made in your picking of tile, pebble and deck coloring. We were hesitant about choices since this project is an "investment being made" and he always answered or returned your calls and texts. The entire working crew that was involved in our remodel were very professional and very clean in the process. The remodel came out beautiful and we could not say enough about CDC pools doing such a beautiful job.
