Absolutely the worst post purchase support. They are very quick to take your thousands of dollars for a new spa. We've had our spa for less than one year and have issues with our lighting. It has now been 16+ weeks waiting for repair. Don't do it. Don't buy here. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment. The brand they carry is fine but the sales and service is a problem.they will take your money and break your heart. We have a Relay (same mfg) at our shack in the woods up north and it's performed great for 6 years. We bought it in Star Valley and we love it! When we bought a new home in Chandler we wanted to add a hot tub and wanted to stick with same brand since it had performed so well. We were fools for not heading the Yelp review people. Don't be us! The sales and service at Desert Hot Springs is poor. We bought the Salina at over 10K with the chiller. A big step up from our Relay. We don't have a pool so we were excited to have a unit that we could use year round!! Excitement that has dissolved into despair. I'm not going to bore you with the install hassle that created 3 trips and 2 calls to the owner, and draining it twice on my dime. To be fair, the owner did get someone sent back out, I just shouldn't have had to call him. The sales guy has been there a long time and he's a bit condescending. That should have been my first clue...just sayin. They didn't deliver the tub with the chiller. It was back ordered, but no one told us. We were fine with that because it was November. By spring I was surprised we hadn't been contacted. I had to call them to get the chiller delivered and installed. It's an AC unit for the hot tub (this is important). Now it's summer and they had to drain the tub again because they circumvent the heater in the unit when you have a chiller. The cross threaded something (hubs ran a hardware store, he knows this stuff) and we had problems. 3 different service calls because no one wanted to own that they messed up and all the Freon drained out. Finally, they gave in and came out and worked on it again. Unfortunately, we didn't get to use it much by the time the fixed it. The chiller only had a year warranty and I was concerned. Well, here we are at our second summer, out of warranty on the chiller...and guess what? You got it, NOT WORKING. Whatever the real problem is, it wasn't fixed correctly and were out of warranty now. A waste of $1,000. We honestly think it wasn't installed properly and the Freon is leaking out over seasons. It heats just fine. I'm sure trying to get it fixed will be a hassle that costs us money. Note - I designed the surround and had my landscape guy build it. This was no inexpensive purchase. I'm no wining over a bad $10 sandwich. This was a pricey upgrade that does NOT deliver. First let me say, WE LOVE the Endless Pool R200! We've used it everyday except one since it's installation. It's worth every penny in our opinion! Having said that I WOULDN'T buy a stick of gum from Desert Hot Tubs!!! After purchasing an Endless Pool in June and having it installed on October 27, 2020 we had a few questions. Dave Pepe all of a sudden had no knowledge on how the product worked. He texted me a number for my service concierge and also stated that Shayne the store manager knew the Endless Pool inside and out. So, I called Shayne the manager and he said he would get back to me in five minutes that was over a week ago. I called Anthony Williamson who was supposed to be my service concierge. Anthony quite honestly told me he only had the knowledge provided by the users manual so he basically knew as much as I did. They also failed to deliver the exercise kit which is supposed to be included in my package and is listed on my contract. If you want any semblance of service for an Endless Pool buy direct from the manufacturer! DO NOT BUY from Desert Hot Tubs. Finally have our backyard done and the last thing we're putting in is a Jacuzzi/hot tub. We live in the Casa Grande area so drove up to Phoenix today to buy one. This was the first store we came to and front door was wide open with a big hot tub sale sign right out front. Walked in but store lighting was not on and just one loan person sitting at a desk in the middle of the store. Asked if we could look around and was told they were not open yet. It was 9:35 a.m.. apparently they don't open until 10 and we were told we would need to return so someone could "TALK" to us. So to make a long story short we drove to the next location on our list and purchase the hot tub we were shopping for. The moral of the story is if your front door is open and you have customers who come in looking to purchase, maybe you should allow them to have a seat in the store or at least look around. As for me, next time I'm in need of supplies or anyting jacuzzi related I will be driving on by. read more

We purchased to CoolZone system in March 2022, then waited for it to be installed end of May. Once installed, the system blew circuits or fuses and did not work. Desert Hot Tubs has a 3rd party that repairs. The repairman came out 4 days later, stated it could not be repaired and left. There was no follow-up by Desert Hot Tub or repair center for over a month. I finally called the Tolleson center and they did not seem to have a clue that we'd been sitting without the use of what we had purchased from them. Gentleman says I have to call repair center and then make decision to wait to see what happens or request refund. Again, I hear nothing for another 3 weeks. Call again to Tolleson, told again that I need to contact repair center. Repair center states manufacturer of CoolZone is not returning any inquiries about the non-usable $4200.00 piece of equipment purchased and that there are 4-5 other customers in same boat. Repair center has been open about issues, yet says we really need to work the Desert Hot Tubs - Can you see the circular wind happening here? As customer service and follow-up, goes the hot tub company scores a F. Why? It's never just about making the sale, collecting the money and then not standing by your product and supporting your the customer base to ensure everything is working- you do have a reputation and it's up to you as to whether it's good or bad. It is also not the responsibility of the repair center that is 3rd party to do the company's legwork on replacing and finding out what is happening. There should be transparency to the clients on what is happening and when we will receive replacements. To think that it is okay for customers to wait 2-4 months with no follow-up and broken product is not acceptable. I don't think there are many customer's in todays world that feel it is okay to spend money that they have worked hard to obtain, decide to purchase a product that they wanted, wait an ungodly amount of time to receive, just to it have it not work and complete lack of customer service from the company. read more

Still waiting on our hot tub we ordered at the end of January... be advised if you need to have electrical installed... it's expensive... $1700 and we had previous wiring for our old tub... since the economy has tanked... if you order a spa don't expect it in 4-6 months... expect it in 8-12 according to the industry updates.... read more

I'm going to post this review now to document my experience for potential new customers, and I will come back and finish it assuming my hot tub gets delivered. Back in May 2021, I was building a new home and wanted to add a hot tub. I visited their Cave Creek store, and spoke with sales guy Mike. I told Mike I was building a new home, and due to Covid I could not provide an exact completion date. But, I wanted to order my tub early to, you guessed it, avoid Covid supply chain issues. Mike told me if I purchased it then, they would hold if for me until I was ready. He also told me the "price was going up at the end of the month". Both turned out to not be true. We agreed to not actually place the order for a couple of months, since it would be about a year until I was ready for the tub. I did pay the 50% deposit, and the production order went in a couple months later. The tub came in right after the first of the year, and I immediately visited the store and paid the balance. PAID IN FULL. In April, I get an email from somebody named Jeff Hartman, who turns out to not only be Mike's brother, but the owner. He doesn't pick up the phone and call me like I would have done for one of my customer's, just sends me an email wanting to know when I would take delivery because he wants it off their warehouse floor. I told him I wasn't quite ready yet, and due to a delay in construction on my home & pool it might be July. Sure enough, their promise to hold the tub was no longer good. Jeff told me on 4/17/22 that lead-time was "now 2-3 months", and he wanted to sell my tub and order another one. I reluctantly agreed since that still fit my time frame, which I NEVER should have done. I also told him I would agree to that as long as 2-3 months does not turn into 3-5 months. I'll be ready for my tub in July. Three months from 4/17/22 would be mid-July. I asked for an update on where my new tub is in the production schedule, and they are unable to provide one. The best they can do is tell me "they will let me know when it goes into production", then it will be 2-3 weeks from there. So, they told me the price was going up, when it was not. They told me they would hold my tub until I was ready, and they did not. They told me 2-3 month lead time on 4/17/22, so I'm hoping they will be 1 for 3 on the sliding truth scale. Proceed with caution if you are considering buying from Desert Hot Tubs. To be continued. read more

Stay as far away from this company as you can. We bought a tub for our new construction. I called to get exact wiring instructions. Jeff who works there, could not be bothered with my questions. He was rude, short and a complete asshole. Needless to say we will not be taking delivery of this tub and will be getting a full refund. Once you give this company money they no longer have any customer service, for something as simple as the instructions to wire the hot tub they sold me. Rude staff. There was NOBODY in the parking lot on a Sunday...maybe 1 car. I tried going into the store but all doors are locked. I later find out they are by appt only - note to owners: it would be nice if you placed a sign on the door stating this! I started walking away and the sales person in a very rude and annoyed tone asked "can I help you with something"? Like he had no clue why I was there. I said I was interested in a spa...he said they are by appt. only in still a very annoyed tone. You could tell he wanted to get back to... what his '1' customer (as there is literally maybe 1 car in parking lot and store hours indicated they were still open). As I walked away I asked if they had any inventory. He said in still a very annoyed tone 'no, not for another year, and that's globally', then shut the door. (Excuse me for bothering you sir.) To all you pool and spa business owners... remember that even though you are very very busy now because no one can go anywhere due to Covid and they are spending their money on home stuff, your customers will start to travel again and you will be the last expensive purchase on their mind!! I bought the best Spa they had.. Caldera Cantabria on 10/2019 It was delivered and set up on 12/3/2019. I started having control panel issues on 12/5/2019. Jets would not engage properly, breakers kept tripping, panel would freeze, etc. Apparently the breaker box they provided was bad-- they switched that out. They also switched out the control panel at least 2 times. All kinds of electrical issues. The Salt system has never worked properly either. I have had 9 service calls in 9 months... I have not been able to use the tub for over 30 accumulated days in 9 months. I paid $21,000 for the hot tub! This is ridiculous. Instead of standing behind their product they blame me and assume I cannot ready test strips to properly balance the water for the salt system to work even though I have owned hot tubs for 20 plus years and I have a pool service company that helps with the pool and spa. They really have no excuse for the panel and electrical issues, yet they refuse to replace the spa with one that is trouble free or to give me any sort of monetary help to replace the spa. I would certainly not buy a spa of any kind form this company and I would also run away from the Caldera brand at this time as well! These people are crooks and will give you zero service after the sale! read more

I will admit I was unsure of which spa wanted. He told me about a hero program, but could not tell me how much I would save,"JUST TOP TIER" thought I setup appointment to meet him and show him site. But once again didn't work out I was too late. Then the real sales pitch started. Price went up this was extra and that was extra. Went in to the Chandler store this morning after receiving an email about a sale they were having. Walked in and were greeted with a, "Do you have an appointment?" We stated we did not, and explained how we had received the email about the sale and the email did not mention an appointment being required. The next comment stated was that, "it's ok, it is 10 minutes until my next appointment, so i have some time." OK, things got a little better, except that he did not move from the corner of the sale floor, behind a desk, even when we asked some questions about the hot tub sizes. After walking around for a few minutes by ourselves, we decided to walk out and not spend our money there. Cold and pre-occupied are two words that come to mind about the salesperson. We felt judged from the minute we walked through the door. We went to the spa place across the street and within 20 minutes had placed our order for a new spa. read more

Have had a nightmare with a local company, I got a referral to come to Chandler hot tubs. I arrived at 245 during open business hours to see a hand written sign on the door be back st 3:30. I've now waited till 4:10 and hour an half during open business hours. Bad news for them I'm hear to actually buy one. Good news for me the wasted time is all I'll be wasting on this company. We have had our hot tub for almost 2 years, and experienced our first problem. After calling in for a service call, Shane suggested that he could help me track down the problem, and that there was a good chance the problem was related to a blown fuse. After a few attempts to find the affected fuse, I order a new set of fuses from the internet ($6) and Shane walked me through the replacement process. His help saved me probably $150. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. I've been dealing with Tom over the last 4 years, but yesterday I was met with Dillon. A young man who appears to you in swimming trunks and a careless attitude. I immediately asked, "Where's Tom?" Dillon responds by a stream of negative comments about Tom, explaining how Tom uses pushy salesmanship to sell tubs and how the owner doesn't want that kind of business. Dillon further advises that Tom was removed from his duties during the week and placed on weekends only. Dillon takes pleasure in advising me that he has a cushioned job, where he gets to come in to work daily and hang out all day doing nothing. Dillon claims that he served 8 years for our country. I calmly allow Dillon to bash and tear down the reputation that Tom had established with me dating back to our 1st purchase in July 2015 and then comment that all the comments he made about Tom are unfounded by me and my husband, we never experienced that from Tom. I had told Dillon that over the last 4 years of coming in there and purchasing products, Tom was always helpful and never the pushy person that he is describing. At this point I had enough of this young man and asked if the owner still comes in on Tuesdays, because I wanted to speak to him about this visit. Dillon explained he's a billionaire and doesn't care about the business, so he doesn't have to care or sell tubs. Dillon gave me Jeff's phone number who he said is the manager or owner. After leaving, I called Jeff and asked if he had a few minutes to discuss what just happen in his Chandler Store. Jeff said, "No and I'm actually headed into an appointment. Who gave you my phone number?" At that point I knew I needed to move on. Jeff (manager/owner) cared more about how I got is number than a customer experience in one or his only store. He was absolutely horrible over the phone. I had drove all the way from Goodyear to buy a tub yesterday from Tom, this was so disappointing. Tom had sold us our 1st hot tub in July 2015 and I had talked to Tom months ago about purchasing the same Relay model for our new home in Goodyear. Tom told us to come back when we were ready and he would sell us another Relay model. I just can't give this place our business. I hope Tom is reading this so he hears how the owners, managers and Dillon feel about him as a person. For me Tom was probably put on weekends because that's when their busy, not during the week. In addition I had left 2 voice mails during the week for Tom, which were never returned. I knew something had to have happen, because Tom would of called me back. Now, I know they were probably deleted and never forwarded to Tom on the weekends. Very sad end to what I thought was an awesome place and relationship. I stopped half way through because I frankly had enough of the miss truths in the response. If I am not being honest than how do I know Tom was put on weekends and why? Wow I guess I should have never started that conversation. He laid into me about which 18 different options that I want and his was the best spa ever made if I had to guess he has a God complex. I will add to these "great " reviews! Spend over $15,000 on a tub and ZERO shits given after you leave. Totally lied about estimates for concrete, electric, AND delivery. Ended up over $5k for those 3 extra items, when he figured maybe $2k TOPS! Now, 6 months later, and Tom is the WORST at returning any phone calls. Their warranty is a joke (I live in TUCSON!!! $60/hr plus $1.60/mile just to LOOK at it!!! Prayers they bring the right parts!)
