Me and my family came here after a long drive because I was craving one of my favorite places to eat. Everything was going well until we arrived around 9:00 PM. They were already preparing to clean up, but we decided to order anyway. A young employee began making our bowls and seemed a bit confused when we ordered extra chicken (which we were told would have an additional charge). Somewhere in the communication, he must have thought my husband wanted honey chicken instead of regular chicken. When I reviewed my receipt (as I always do), I noticed we were charged for honey chicken when my husband only asked for regular. We politely asked if we could get a refund for the honey chicken that was added by mistake. The cashier said it was no problem and that she would fix it once her line went down, so we sat inside and ate our food. A manager named Jashun came out shortly after, being rude to customers in line, thinking they were the ones with the issue. One of the customers even told her, "I don't have an issue, it's them," and pointed toward our table. The manager responded, "I don't need to take it up with anyone." I stood up and clarified that I was the one who had asked about the refund. She then snatched the receipt out of my hand, asked if I wanted the bowl remade (which I didn't), and when I said no, I just wanted a refund for the incorrect item, she said, "Well give me the whole bowl back then." My husband handed her the bowl, and I told her she could keep it since her attitude made me lose my appetite. She said she had processed the refund and that the money would go back on my card, then aggressively handed the receipt to me and said "Goodnight." A police officer who was in line even noticed how unprofessional and disturbing her behavior was. This experience completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice meal after a long drive. The issue was simple, yet the manager's behavior made it unnecessarily disrespectful and stressful. Please be mindful of who you put in charge--this level of customer service is unacceptable. I loveeeee the pita chips and the different sauces they offer. The parking in this location is generally pretty busy and congested, as there's alot of businesses in this area. CAVA is never a bad idea! This one is in a strip mall and there was a lunch time rush so parking was a bit tight. Once inside, there was a short line plus several people waiting for online orders. The line seemed to be moving faster than the online wait, which worked in my favor. I had the Greek salad bowl and added roasted veggies. It was ridiculously delicious and filling. I had my two little people with me (who'd eaten elsewhere) and the staff were kind enough to give them water cups. read more

CAVA is healthy food lovers dream! But you can bring all of your friends and family who say they do not like healthy food. I promise they have something here for them too. It is located on Victory Drive. The business complex that has Chipotle and Nothing Bundt Cakes it is right at the end of it. But basically once you see Whole Foods you are in the right place. Ok there is a parking lot. The parking spaces are small, if you have a large vehicle and the lot is pretty full just a heads up it can be a little difficult to park. When you walk in you are greeted with neutrals everywhere. The restaurant itself is calm space. There are multiple tables indoor and out. The counter is long because of all of the delicious choices coming your way! CAVA serves bowls, pitas, pita chips, and dips primarily. They are about the same price point as Chipotle for reference depending on what you get of course. You can build your own or choose from the preexisting menu. I love the build your own feature. Because I can truly get what I want every single time. The staff is accommodating. During my first visit I read the menu and in all honesty it was self explanatory. But when my husband asked a question or I did they answered. A few of my favorites are the crazy feta, roasted eggplant, roasted white sweet potatoes, the lamb, fiery broccoli, pickles, and the date vinaigrette. There are many items on the menu but those are likely to end up in a bowl for me. Oh and by the way all of their sodas are made with cane syrup! Of course they have juices too. This is absolutely my favorite spot! Why in less than two weeks I went 3 times. The atmosphere was nice, clean and enjoyable if you decide to sit. Service was spectacular, both the sever and the cashier!!! The food was extremely excellent, I like that I could create my own bowl, I would go broke if I went everyday. We were surprised with how good everything tastes. After we paid ~30 for two bowls and a seltzer, we were a little skeptical with the amount we received. The harissa avocado bowl was so good! A little spiciness to it, but perfect. The balsamic date chicks. Bowl was equally good. I thought I wasn't going to be full with the balsamic date bowl, we just finished a HIIT workout and I was STARVING. How about I ordered for delivery 2 orders of spicy lamb and avocado bowl and what I received was a bowl without the spicy lamb (no meat)! When we contacted them to complain they only offered to credit me $5. That doesn't even cover cost of one meatball. At one point, when I asked a simple question about my order, I was actually laughed at. Excuse me? Laughing at a customer for asking a basic question is completely unacceptable. That's not only rude but humiliating. And then came the food... which somehow managed to make the experience even worse. I don't know how anyone in the kitchen thought it was okay to serve lentils that weren't even cooked properly. They were HARD and CRUNCHY. Absolutely inedible. How does that even leave the line? You should NEVER be selling undercooked or raw food to paying customers. That's a huge health concern and shows a complete lack of care. I left upset, disappointed, and honestly disgusted. I've always considered CAVA a reliable spot, but tonight shattered that trust. I really enjoyed my experience with this location! The service was awesome! All the employees who helped me were helpful, kind and attentive. They also do not have a tip option when you check out and I was like you guys need to add that feature everyone else has it! You order everything at the counter and they make it in front of you! I decided to take my order to go and I made my own bowl. I got brown rice, mixed greens, red pepper hummus, traditional hummus, pickled onions, falafel, roasted vegetables, fire roasted broccoli, tomatoes and cucumbers, kalamata olives and corn! They are open until 10:30pm, but if you arrive anytime after 7:00pm they will be cleaning everything up, nothing is fresh, and the portion sizes are truly disrespectful for how much you pay. The man who served my food was barely watching what he was doing with his hands, scooping very small servings of food as he looked over his shoulder (literally) talking with his coworker. he would turn back while I was talking to him as if I wasn't even there. he piled ingredients sloppily instead of drizzling them evenly. (it mights sound like a sillly complaint, but it's not that hard to be intentional and at least look at your hands while you're working.) when I looked in my bad, he hadn't even put the lid on all the way. it was just sitting on top of the bowl. the place was also nasty and old feeling, the tables were all very sticky and the layers of the table were peeling off. anyways, everyone else here may be amazing, it might just be this one wpride. but overall a poor experience read more

When I arrived the line was at the door. It was very busy but the staff were diligently working through the line! When I made it to the front I ordered the Harissa Chicken Bowl. As my bowl moved through the line I was advised that they were out of pickled onions. It was my first time so I hoped to get all the ingredients but anyhow... I added the Garlic dressing! These day, you are lucky to get out of a cafe for less then $40. Our entrees were $10.99 each! The staff was so helpful and friendly too. Of course, the best part was how fresh and tasty the food is. The food seems mostly fresh. But that's not consistent. It's a chain. But the staff is generous and service is adequate. It seems clean. Certainly better than the previous food chain that was in this place (Zoe's). But I've been in Cava in fancier quaint towns that blow this one out of the water. I just wish places like this showed up like the tourist community we actually are. Asheville has trouble with hiring good staff. This place does a pretty decent job given what they've got to work with. We shall see. It's still fairly new. read more

Food is excellent at CAVA always, that is the only reason I'm giving this restaurant more than one star. We placed an online order to be ready at 1900. 1916 comes around, I watched 5-10 people go through the line and order and there was no update on ours. I got in line to speak with a team member, and they were EXCEPTIONALLY rude and said I had to wait still and could not order in the line. The cook then pulled the receipt out and it showed they had completed the order at 1900 but it was never ready. The manager had an attitude, the kitchen staff had an attitude, and the line workers had an attitude. CAVA is good and we love it, but it is not worth having to deal with bad attitudes and cold food. We did not go to Zoe's kitchen for the same attitude reasons, and will not return to this CAVA until we hear that staff has improved. The food is too expensive to have to deal with that as a customer when there are several other restaurants to choose from that have nicer employees. read more

I have eaten here many times and had no issue. The night time staff was terrible and a completely different experience. A greeting isn't necessary but you can at least acknowledge me standing in front of you so I know you are ready for my order. I order the chicken avocado pita to then be told at the end there is no avocado along with other toppings that come on that item. I order a fountain drink, get charged and then handed a small cup. Never have I had to specify a large cup which is fine but when I ask for a large cup the women at the register starts to argue with me that she already charged me for a small. I brought it to her attention that I didn't even get all the items I ordered so I don't think the small difference between a small and large should really be that big of a deal. I'm given a cup. I go to the drinks to find all of them have bins in front of them I assume to store the drinks for the following day. I ask the employee standing there if I can get some of the drinks. Since I specifically ordered a fountain drink to get the teas since I don't really drink soda. She tells me to go ahead and stares at me. Then tells me to stick my hand with the cup inside the bin to get my drink while it's coming out. I'm pretty sure that's not up to safety standards.
