During the COVID-19 quarantine we have had several local food trucks from the area rotate for lunch/dinner during the week. I am so sad I only made it to The Naked Dog once before I moved back north. I am a hot dog lover, so imagine my difficulty in not ordering every variation from the menu! My husband and I decided on a few to split (not knowing their size): a classic Naked dog with classic toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish); a slaw dog; a Reuben dog; and a Chicago dog. If I could be speechless in a written Yelp review, I'd leave it at that. The dogs were jumbo sized, toppings were plentiful, tasty and temperature just right. The slaw dog was my absolute favorite - the cole slaw had the perfect consistency and was simple enough to not overpower the dog itself. The Reuben was a legit sandwich on a burger, pastrami and all. The dressing was perfect. The Chicago was classic and wonderful, complete with the unique green Chicago relish. Last but not least, smoothies! What better pair than a smoothie and a dog? We tried peach and strawberry. They were fruity, had chunks of real fruit and were not overly sweet. Just amazing! Y'all, please go have a hotdog or three on my behalf until I'm able to return to Savannah again!

So, i would just like to bring something to light that happens with this franchise. this is not the first time it has happened as i have investigated and found out it is regular practice. Rick Curns and his managers have put my family in a bad position. They hired my wife to GM their Pooler store. They offered her a position and a salary and a start date. She put in her notice at her job and they hired her replacement. A week later she gets a text(not a call...a text) saying they talked to the owner(Rick) and he wanted the area directors to manage the store and would not be hiring my wife. It is October, that is my sons birth month. Now my wife can not retract her notice. Her other job already hired her replacement. She spoke with Curns and he basically said "too bad so sad. we are going in a different direction". It is fine for him. He is worth millions and does not care what position he has put normal people in.Why? Because we are not like him and probably have no influence. As true as that is we struggle now to pay rent and Im sad because my kids suffer over some rich guys whims. There will be no birthday presents because we broke now. There will be a skinny Christmas because the "slumlord" of Larry's Giant Subs does what he wants. Just wanted you to know. Don't pay this mans mansion mortgage. Eat subway. It is not ok. read more

I came into Larry's because I was craving a sub, but I did not see a subway around. I was in for a surprise and treat. First, the have a very wide selection of sandwiches to choose from. The order was taken quickly and correctly and he promptly brought out the sandwich. As I bit into the sandwich, I realized they used much higher quality ingredients than I was expecting. It was absolutely delicious. After a few minutes of eating and watching the television, the sandwich maker, and I am assuming owner, Paresh Desai came over to see if I was enjoying the sandwich. We began talking, and after a moment he sat down across the table. We had a nice, genuine, actual conversation for the rest of my visit, which is a nice change of pace from what you get at pretty much every other restaurant out there. I walked out of there full from a delicious meal, feeling like I had made a new friend. We need more restaurants like Larry's in the world. read more

Mr. Desai was SUPER nice. The food was good and fresh. Restaurant was very clean. It was my first time there, but I was impressed with the obvious relationships Mr. Desai had with his customers. He spoke with the lady in front of me as if they were friends. He spoke to me as if I was his friend. He even made suggestions for the spicy sub I desired. Made it fresh and tailored it to my preferences - happily. The gentleman that came in after me: Mr. Desai knew how the gentleman liked his sandwich dressed. I had a Greek veggie sub - it was great. I love visiting the Larry's Giant Subs on Abercorn Street! Every time I come here, the customer service is absolutely excellent. The shop is always clean, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and they make a fantastic sandwich. It's easily one of my favorite, most reliable spots in town for a quick and high-quality lunch. The Happy Hour special pricing was fantastic and there was a small variety of options for $5- a few well liquors, drafts and bites. I got a mixed drink and the onion rings. I don't think I ever had less breaded and more greasy onion rings in my life, I definitely should've chosen a different app, but my friend was happy with her classic burger and the fries were good and fresh. Lots of TVs with sports and they were showing one of the Banana Ball games on the big projector outside (very Savannah specific).

We can park the RV, and leave the dog with the air on , and we are able to watch her through the window. Today Kristin was our server extraordinaire! Upbeat, pleasant and she brought us coffee right away. We had the same two dishes that we had in Hendersonville, the Greek scrambler and Dave had the Chimichurri Bowl. Both were done perfectly! We had grits and an English muffin for sides. The atmosphere was light and bright and they look like they do a ton of take out! We will definitely return again, when we come this way!

And boy was I glad I did! This was a legitimate plate of jambalaya with an addition of two over easy eggs, which I guess made it more of a brunch portion, but for me, it was perfect for lunch. The rice was well cooked with plenty of shrimp, sausage and veggies and I really thought the overall taste was fairly authentic. My lady enjoyed her meal there as well and commented on the restaurant being nice and service being strong so it's definitely a spot we will be visiting again soon.
