The food was great, but the customer service was not to the standards I have experienced. I am leaving this review in hopes of a change at this location (Richardson, TX). I was excited to share the Cava experience with my friend for the first time. During our visit at 8:45 pm, one gentleman was before us and a couple behind. Most of the tables were not clean, and there was food around the serving area; all the topping trays were on the back counter. As the gentleman before us stated his order, I could tell the employees behind the counter were not in the best mood. There were no smiles to greet customers; and poor communication between the employees. As the customer line progressed, the employees moved so fast behind the counter that they forgot to add or not add items to the customers' orders. I ask was everything ok; and was told it was their cleaning time, and they were down two staff members. If I am not mistaken, the restaurant closes at 10 pm. I spoke with the on-duty manager and expressed my concerns. During the payment process, I asked for a bag. "We are out of bags, and the ones we have are for drive-thru only." My order for: Take Out. At this point, my friend and I decided to eat outside in the patio area. I watched thru the window and saw the manager speaking with the employees and laughing. Me and my husband ordered food online, we paid for it and had it ordered for pick up. When we got there to collect it they said they were unable to make the food because they only had about half the ingredients. We asked for our money back but they said only the manager can do that and they were not there. My husband went back in the morning and was told he would have to send an email asking for the refund. He sent the email and has not had a response, it's been three days now and we still haven't been able to get our money back from food we never even received. Do not go here! read more

Super disappointed in this location. I love CAVA and frequent their locations any time I can - found myself in Richardson and had to stop by. The store was a mess, the people at the front were not very friendly and didn't really greet us. Food on the countertop, almost every table was dirty and the trash bins were over flowing. This is what I would expect during a lunch rush when they're understaffed, but no- this was at 8 pm when there were more staff than guests in the store? Staff stood around talking the entire time we ate our meal and no one cleaned anything. It was really gross and we kind of lost our appetite and didn't finish our food. Definitely not up to the standard that all other CAVA locations have set for us. read more

I ordered pick up and everything was perfect. My order was accurate, on time, the portions were plenty and the food was amazing. I was nervous there would be some sort of hiccup since this location is so new but I have zero complaints. As for the pita, I find it funny people will still complain about free food. It was warm, soft, and was a really nice addition to the meal. I'm so excited to come back. I love what this restaurant offers the community which is wholesome, delicious, and nutritious food. read more

Really like this concept and the variety they offer for their bowls. Much better than the Zoes Kitchen that it replaced. Have ordered from Cava since they opened. The first few months were good experiences and the bowls were filled full to the top and pretty filling. Lately, the bowls are barely half full, skimpy and not filling for lunch. I really like their salad bowls but now not impressed with Cava skimping on salad leaves and rice for the same price. First let me say I love the food at Cava. It's a good option for fast healthy food. Hence the 2 stars. But the hygiene habits of the workers are a problem. Can't even review them properly because it was impossible to make an online order! Kept getting a "you're order can not be processed" screen, with no information on what was causing the issue or who to contact. When I called the store, they said they NOT ONLY could they not help, but they wouldn't take my order over the phone or drive through. read more

But I sent in a mobile order for pick up to be ready at a certain time during my limited lunch hour and it was thirty minutes (with no explanation) late making me late to get back to work with no time to eat. Meanwhile I watched the whole line of people cycle through about 3 times and get their food and saw the drive thru orders getting made MUCH quicker. Well if this is your first time experiencing a CAVA maybe compared to most food experiences it would be 2.5 maybe 3... when you look at taste. Next for customer service and order accuracy 1. Then when they already filled my order 15 minutes after pickup time... the guy then had the nerve to basically give me a 1/2 full bowl with little to no meat... I was never rude prior to receiving my food as an FYI. Then I said I'm missing my dressing sides and 2 free sides of pita. I looked at the pita and said this is what y'all consider 2 sides and your pita... and he said I'm just doing what I'm told. I got 2 bite size pita with no flavor... if anyone wants a real cava taste go to Addison. But if you want what I initially started to love about CAVA go to UPTOWN. Best pita bread you will ever eat. We've only ordered the family meal and always have some leftover for a family of 4, so I feel the pricing is reasonable. It's basically a grain bowl with unique toppings. One of the toppings, the crazy feta, is absolutely delicious. I really like being able to order ahead of time on the app and using the drive thru to pick up. I always ask for a little more greens & less rice with no issues, but I guess she was in a bad mood today so she charged me extra. Used to like coming here until today. Came in at 8:20 they close at 10. They already had started putting up the dips and other things , they were too lazy and unprofessional to make more dill and restock the chips & they were "out of" a lot of thjnfs. They had an hr and a half left, even the manager was too lazy and was in a rush to close to not restock. They barely had any silverware clean, a lady before me who was going to deliver an order asked for plastic silverware & she said "how are they supposed to eat without silverware" the worked was already having an attitude by having people coming and delivery drivers waiting for their order that she threw the plastic silverware in the bag with an attitude that the delivery driver even called it out.
