The food and service is always good but today the attitude of the lady behind the counter was absolutely horrible. It's always a hit or miss due to fluctuations in staffing but it's never been this bad. She definitely makes the business look bad. There wasn't even a "hello", and that applies to me and the 5 people that she helped in front of me. great food!! i love cava!! but, i ordered on ubereats and the delivery time was originally 1:30, they set the status to preparing your order and then delayed the delivery by over an hour. as someone who works in food service, i understand how difficult it can be to manage ubereats/doordash, but purposefully "preparing the order" and then extending to delivery time is not ok. this was purely so i was unable to refund the order without being charged. there is no world in which preparing a bowl should take over an hour. if i had knew beforehand that the order was going to take two hours, i would have never ordered. read more

The food is here is AMAZING! I used to go to Kairos all the time, but stopped because one of their managers was rude to me and my wife. So happy to have stumbled upon Cava! My wife and I have been 4x this week! Jen was super nice and very helpful from start to finish and made us some really good bowls! We will be back for sure! We stood at the counter and were ignored for 20 minutes before any of the 4 staff even took our order. The person who took our order was rude and never made eye contact after standing for 10 minutes just doing nothing. They were out of half the ingredients including the right rice, feta and half the toppings. Won't go back with that staff there. Do better. Also 4 of the specialty drinks were totally dry and not replenished. This was at 730 on a Friday. Yikes! read more

The worst Service. I've ever had here. The line is out the door, no one is helping. There is a woman named Carolyn from another store who is now charging extra for each item and giving less amount than normal. My bowl wound up $4 more than the last 20 times I have come here. If you're foodie you'll be disappointed. If you choose in between fast food you maybe okay. I didn't expect much but for the same price any authentic Mediterranean place will offer something special. $30 for two? Burned vegetables, no lentils, rice cooked sometimes earlier in the morning? Non moving line, because the chicken wasn't ready. Pita bread that tastes like something else. My drink was especially bad (something green). The idea of healthy food is great but implemented not so. The food and staff in this restaurant are amazing! I was in line today behind a woman who was incredibly rude to one of the young ladies behind the counter. The staff person never lost her composure and continued to serve the abusive customer. A manager even came out and treated the customer with respect that she had not earned. It is unfortunate that people who work in the service industry (or any industry) are treated this way by customers, but the staff at Cava were fantastic...the Golden Rule in action! Even if the food wasn't great (which it is), I'd still come back just to support this restaurant and it's caring staff! read more

They have completed turned this place around in the best way. Today was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind and bubbly. It looks like they hired all new staff!! A couple months ago, I went with my husband for lunch around 12pm and two guys were outside smoking (not cigarettes) and playing rap music on a boombox. When we went to open the door the worker locked the door and said they didn't have food and we couldn't come in. We went back to our car and could see the workers inside hanging out with a P.F. Chang's employee in there.... They turned away so many people. Another time I went in the guy taking my order was so mean and honestly scary. He looked like he wanted to fight me because I wanted chicken.... So I decided to not go back because I really doubt if they were treating customer rudely that they were going to make the food cleanly. But TODAY!! We wanted to give it one more chance and I'm so happy we did. All new, nice staff. The food was great. They were upholding normal restaurant cleanliness protocols. Great addition to Mount P! Stopped by for lunch yesterday after the bridge run. I adore Mediterranean food and managed to get my husband to grudgingly agree. It took a while to get through the line, but they were busy and the employees are still new. Got the Chicken and Right Rice bowl which was fantastic. The flavors were full and the ingredients fresh. My husband got a chicken pita, which he really enjoyed, a surprise from someone who had sworn off Greek food. My mom also said her vegetarian bowl was delicious as well. They make their own teas/juices and much of the ingredients are cooked in house. Definitely stop by if you want a flavorful, light, yet very filling meal! read more

Went to their opening night last night and truly enjoyed the Mediterranean food. I had a green and grain salad with ALL the toppings I loved; they included Lamb meat balls, roasted corn, egg plant, Hummus, feta cheese, pickles, and roasted Brussel sprouts and a few more. It came with Pita Bread. Definitely try their special juice drinks. I come here alllll the time!!! I love this place to death. The employees are so kind and patient. I know the clientele in mount P can be excruciating at times.... I've grown up here myself. They always greet me with a smile. The only reason I didn't hit them with the 5 stars is because when I arrived last time I overheard the management speak extremely inappropriate to the employee. It made me feel so bad. I couldn't believe my ears. I felt horrible for the employee being belittled and made me uncomfortable for her. I don't think managers should ever show hostile or anger towards their employees in the form of curse words. read more

I'm just so confused how such an awesome franchise can have a location like this one that is SO BAD. This business would not pass a DHEC inspection if an inspector dropped in. Each time I decide to give Cava in Town Center another try and regret it. This last visit broke me. It was so dirty. So disgusting! The service was flabbergasting. I was told I can't pay cash because they don't take real money. The cashier helping me was either on his first day and no one was committed to training him or he just was never trained at all. A long line out the door began to gather as the cashier struggled to help me check out. The multitude of other employees didn't even attempted to help, or even look up, while they walked around with headphones in their ears, neglecting literally every person in line and the disgusting mess they all made of the kitchen. They are always out of Avocado and paying $14+ for a meal which is missing its main ingredient when everything else on the menu is $9, is very upsetting. It's called the Harissa Avocado Bowl. Can't get it here apparently. They are always out of drinks. And the drink space is disgusting. The floors are disgusting. The trash is always full I've noted the food servers also touching the register and the money with their gloves and then handing food. Goodness I wish management would get their act together.
