We've tried this location two times in the past month and, although the food is fine, the upkeep of the building and bathrooms is disgusting and makes me not want to return. The first time we visited, the (female) bathroom sink was clogged and filled with water to the point where you could barely wash your hands. The second time we went, there was absolutely no toilet paper in any stall, and it looked like a bomb went off. When I asked them to please service the bathroom, they took their time to the point where I just left to go elsewhere. Went over to Kairo's instead where we enjoyed a delicious meal, and the bathroom was spotless. It's nice when it's evident that employees care about their guests and comfort. Not sure if it's the entire chain, because some of the locations in the Charlotte area have poor reviews, as well. read more

Then on to your choice of three out of six spreads/dips. Then pick your protein and you can get half of one and half of another for variety. Then on to the toppings. And finally the dressing. Five star fast casual in a convenient, clean location. Tasty and healthy with very good quality products. The Spicy chicken was excellent and regular chicken was very good. I was impressed by the high level of seasoning. More in line with a sit down restaurant than a chipotle model. Pro tip- try the crazy feta. No alcohol but lots of interesting teas and drinks. When I saw this location was over the moon! I love this franchise and was sad having moved to the south they didn't have them! The staff was wonderful, friendly and helped me order as it's been so long I forgot my usual! You can make a bowl or salad with a rice or lettuce base. They have different proteins and toppings just like Chipotle but with a Mediterranean style! I much prefer this to Chipotle. Their hummus and tzatziki sauce is awesome. Food was ok, it wasn't warm. It wasn't great, but the price was good. It was around $11 and some change for a build your own bowl. It wasn't busy. My order was missing items / ingredients. But considering it being cold the food was still ok. Not absolutely memorable but I do like the fast casual build your own bowls salads that are easy and fast to make for quick healthy lunch option. Charleston as a whole barely has anything like that besides verde and chipotle. I will give it a try again, ordering in. After waiting about 10 minutes in line for them to make more chicken, we had the opportunity to watch one of the male staff members play on their phones with their gloves on and then proceed to use those same gloves to get cucumbers out of of the container to top a bowl. When mentioning to him he probably should change out his gloves there was zero remorse or accountability. I did see another employee change her gloves out 3-4 times just in the time we were waiting to ensure cleanliness so this was an isolated incident. read more

Terrible experience. My girlfriend and I ordered a pickup order during the late afternoon. I was disappointed to find that 4 of the 15 toppings I ordered for my bowl were left out, including the meat (like come on guys you literally left the meat off that literally is what makes the whole meal). My girlfriend also found that items she had ordered were left off. After asking them to correct the order they basically told me I was mistaken and that this was what I ordered even though anyone could easily see that the toppings on the dish did not match the order. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. I will not be returning to this location in the future. read more

I went again to give this location another try & despite having more than enough employees in the back, there was one person assembling bowls and it took forever. I know this is a chain, but i love this place. Seriously my go to lunch place. Located in the Mount Pleasant town center. The service is always efficient and never been too long of a line. I get a bowl with spinach, rice, honey chicken, lamb meatballs, tzatziki, spicy hummus, pickled onions, cucumber, corn, tomatoes, pita chips, skhug, and lemon herb tahini. Very much recommend that order. It's large serving sizes and filling. Good parking. A little pricey- this bowl with a drink is 16 bucks. I think it's worth it. read more

Such a quick healthy and tasty option for lunch or dinner! Just had probably the best salad of my life here. I created my own bowl on the app, came in to pick it up and skipped the line. Love that you can customize your own bowl because I absolutely loved mine. I got the half baby spinach/ half splendid greens base and did half chicken half roasted vegetables for the "protein" option. Highly highly recommend the tzatziki and lemon herb tahini dressing. ok ok ok so glad I ran into Cava today. This fast casual spot had a delicious and healthy assembly line of Greeklicious food. I'm not usually a huge Greek food eater but these guys might have converted me to become a Greek geek. I chose to build my own bowl but they have stuffed pitas and their own signature bowls, to try. Their variety of lettuces for salads is awesome. Chicory, arugula, cabbage, spinach, kale, regular romaine....then the grains! Lentils, rice, a hearty grain concoction. You get to choose three different dips to add- I got the eggplant, harissa hummus, and original hummus. Each one of their add-ons had so much flavor, and there were so many to choose from! Cucumber salad, tomato salad, marinated cabbage, grilled corn and so on. It really was So on! The only thing I was bummed about was that at noon they had already run out of the lamb meatballs which I was jonesing for, but I chose the grilled chicken which ate nicely! At 11$ a bowl it's a little pricey but you could really get two meals out of it. As a nutritionist I can tell you that getting fast food like that is way overdue! YALLL OMGG. This place is SO GOOD. I had been wanting to come here since I heard my friend describe it as a Mediterranean chipotle. My poor bf got a "chef's recommendation" menu item but I was wiser and built my own Gyro. IT WAS PHENOMENALLLLL . I've been thinking about it daily. They have yummy juices for drinks. I got cucumber mint . Yummy. And sodas all made with cane sugar (and a sugar free option) . The line was LONG . A lot of the juices were OUT. Some of the food items were also out. The food and service is always good but today the attitude of the lady behind the counter was absolutely horrible. It's always a hit or miss due to fluctuations in staffing but it's never been this bad. She definitely makes the business look bad. There wasn't even a "hello", and that applies to me and the 5 people that she helped in front of me. great food!! i love cava!! but, i ordered on ubereats and the delivery time was originally 1:30, they set the status to preparing your order and then delayed the delivery by over an hour. as someone who works in food service, i understand how difficult it can be to manage ubereats/doordash, but purposefully "preparing the order" and then extending to delivery time is not ok. this was purely so i was unable to refund the order without being charged. there is no world in which preparing a bowl should take over an hour. if i had knew beforehand that the order was going to take two hours, i would have never ordered. read more
