Long Beach Cava, you need some work! Ever since the grand opening, they have had struggles managing the flow of customers and demand for food items. The line is always out the door, which isn't a big deal, but it's super slow, and there is always a hold in line for another customer. I also noticed they run out of ingredients. It's been mostly the same employees since they opened, and they seem exhausted and don't look like they want to interact with customers. Cava is also asking you to leave a 5-star review for free pita bread, which is a big no-no. Hopefully, they can turn it around when the hype dies down and start being consistent like the good ol Culver City location. I will still return because this is the only location near me. read more

Poor customer service. Ordered online, walked in there was 5 people standing waiting for their order. The restaurant was busy but there was a good number of staff working. Multiple staff walked by and through the crowd of people waiting but no one asked what we all needed. Cashier who was 2ft away just didn't not engage with anyone waiting. There were 3 to go bags sitting on the counter and everyone just started asking any staff to grab their bag for them. I gave my name and was told it wasn't ready even though I got text saying my order was ready for pick up, I grabbed another staff person immediately and said my order is ready he pulled one of the bags that had been sitting there and said here's your order. The pita chips were missing from the order but I cut my losses and took my cold food home. Disappointed because food is descent and tasty. Don't go to this location and if you do go pray its not busy. read more

I had an amazing experience at Cava! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was top-notch, and to my surprise, they even treated me to a complimentary meal. I truly appreciate their generosity and will definitely be coming back. One of my favorite take out spots when I'm in the area. I've had the chicken rice bowl which was delicious but I like making my own bowl. My favorite combo is grilled chicken, super greens, basmati rice, brined pickles, kalamata olives, tzatziki, hummus, Persian cucumbers, fiery broccoli with lemon tahini it's 10/10 so yummy. First time at Cava and honestly I really liked the food! It was delicious and fresh. The issue comes in with the cashier. Her name was Valeri, and she just seemed out of it. We ordered 2 drinks, but she let us know that the kids meal (which I had) already came with a drink, so we said cool, okay. She still charged us for 2 drinks. We let that go though...but then my gf said she never got her pita chips, which she clearly ordered. Cashier then said "oh, yeah, I didnt charge for it, do you still want it?" I say yes, she starts to ring me up for the chips. I let her know of the extra charge on drinks and that she could really maybe just switch the chips for the drink, but she insisted my gf asked for a second drink and charged me for the pita chips. I came here for a meeting with a friend I had met from another state. So we decided to come here becayse we're familliar with the chain and coming here for me is a treat. Same goes for all other Cava locations and even beside similar places that lets you build your bowl, I think Cava has the best value because of their quality and quantity. They have really good variety too as far as proteins and sauces. I can get sauces on the side, have extra or just put them all aside for alter. When i was getting ready to pay, Tanya, also known as the "Peta Temptress" gave me a sample of their new Garlic Pita chips. Im so glad i got to try them and now i want them all the time with my meal. Their restrooms are kept clean and there is a lot of parking available. It does get busy though at usual meal times of the day with delivery orders, but they manage it pretty well and stay on pace. I like Cava, but I hate this Cava. I've been here several times already and it's always a mixed bag of what kind of experience you'll have. There are times where ordering ahead is way faster than ordering in person, and times where ordering ahead is behind by over an hour. There are also times when, even after waiting over 45 minutes in line, by the time you get to the front, they're out of several options. And even despite this, the food quality can also be hit or miss at this location. I can't recommend this location because of how inconsistent it is, but Cava itself is fine. What a great meal! Such good flavors and great options. I went with my brothers and we all made our own bowls. I got the arugula and saffron rice bowl, tzatziki, feta and eggplant sauces, chicken and falafel, and all the toppings except olives. It came with a small piece of pita. I heard that lines can be super long here, but the line was pretty short and moved fast. I do think they could move the stickers that have the food options to before those options so you can look them over before you order. My bowl was $14, delicious and filling. I am so excited to have CAVA in Long Beach at the Traffic Circle!! CAVA is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant with customizable bowls and wraps. I truly love the wide variety of flavorful, fresh options that CAVA offers. I got a grain bowl with grilled chicken, tzatziki, hummus, roasted broccoli, roasted corn, pickled onions, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers, cabbage slaw, romaine, feta, pita crisps, garlic dressing, and harissa vinaigrette. Like I said, there are so many options to add onto your bowl and they are so so good. My partner also got the braised lamb as his meat, which I thought was so tender and flavorful. We split the pita chips, which I think are a must get here. They are crispy and soft without feeling oily, which I feel is rare for fried bread! I definitely recommend checking this place out for lunch. We did the online order and were quoted for a 12:30 pickup, but didn't actually get our food until about 12:50. I've only heard of Cava through TikTok so I knew it was basically a healthier, Mediterranean version of Chipotle. The bowls I saw always looked super appetizing so I was interested in trying it! The restaurant itself is very open, a bit busy, and somewhat clean. The restaurant is still fairly new in the area so it's expected that there's a lot of people trying it out. I got the Harissa Avocado bowl, and it looks amazing. The bowls are pretty pricey, but I understand why. The Harissa Avocado bowl was a bit spicy, but it was okay. It's nothing memorable, maybe I would have enjoyed a different bowl better. They are a bit stingy on portions so don't expect your bowl to be close to full. It's a nice place, and the food is okay. I'm unsure if I would come back, but it's always good to try new things! read more

My boyfriend ordered a bowl with grilled chicken, right rice, spinach, cucumber, and I totally for the sauces he ordered... BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS!! I ordered a kids pita with the honey spicy chicken and it was just as good! If you don't want to build your bowl, they also have a menu of items that are already put together! Cava right down the street from my place!? What an absolute pleasure! I've had Cava several times on the east coast & have basically dreamed of it for years. A wonderful place to have a great meal. I absolutely love the quality of food, variety, and nutrition- anything you order here is good for your belly! I dropped by on a Sunday afternoon- no line, lots of young adults running the restaurant, likely college kids, lots of good energy, very prompt & informative with all of my questions- restaurant is very tidy & organized! I ordered a bowl with lentils & romaine, chicken, sweet potato (absolutely to die for) feta dip, hummus, cucumbers, tzatziki, corn, pickled onions & tahini Cesar dressing- I love that you can customize your meal! I also do not recall this slice of pita being absolutely heaven sent! I easily could've had 3 more! My dinner was perfect- I loved that the restaurant was full of young people- they chose Cava over every other restaurant in town- that's saying something! I went to the new Cava's free community launch event. It was really good. The best way to describe it is like a Mediterranean Chipotle. I built my own bowl around saffron rice, spicy chicken, and spicy lamb meatballs. I added goodies plus some tahini and garlic sauce. All in all it was really tasty. I am so glad they opened a CAVA near me... I'd been waiting for quite sometime. The food options are waaaay better, seasoned well and refresher than chipotle. Also, they're a lot more generous with the portions. The crew is friendly and even with the most longest of lines, it goes by fast. My first time trying Cava ever and it was delicious. They are extremely busy during lunchtime so be prepared to wait in line. If you are not in a rush and if you are you can order ahead. The food tasted fresh and the dressing on the Steak and Harrissa was really good. The only reason I am giving 4/5 stars is that my steak was dry and a bit tough. I did notice I had the very last bits of the bowl and then the employee went and grabbed more from where they prepare their preorders. I still would definitely come back. They all act like they are completely offended that you are there and they actually have to do their jobs. Also, the food portions you receive when you order ahead online are laughable. There were so many options, it was almost too much to take in. The serving staff were terrific! We had so many questions and they were both helpful and patient with us. POS SYSTEM OUTAGE - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE This was by far the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. I arrived at 4:45 PM to order a bowl and was told the POS system was rebooting. I placed my order, but when I got to the front to pay, the system was still down. Like many other customers, I waited--10 minutes passed, then more--but the issue remained unresolved. The two managers (a male and female) were walking back and forth on the phone, trying to get assistance. I understand that technical issues happen, but the real problem was the lack of leadership. We were told the system would be back up in 10 minutes, which the female manager confirmed. I waited until 5:30 PM, hoping the issue would be resolved, but had to leave due to other obligations. Meanwhile, food was still being prepared, and the female manager eventually came back to inform us there would be no free food, only free chips and drinks for the inconvenience--which was fine. However, what made this experience even worse was that all of the staff disappeared from the front, leaving customers standing around with no updates, reassurance, or communication. I noticed some customers were still able to pick up online orders, so I asked if I could place one online instead. The manager said yes--only to later confirm that online ordering was also down. When unexpected issues arise, strong leadership is critical. A good manager should be able to either resolve the problem efficiently or at least reassure customers that steps are being taken. This experience showed a complete lack of leadership, and I strongly suggest additional training for the management team. read more
