So moving from NY I'm not used to the tinted windows- I had no idea what I was walking into- my husband did some research into cava and we knew it was a healthy food option and possibly Mediterranean. I was very happy with the labels on the glass telling you exactly - what it was, how Spicy sauces/dips were, how many topping you can pick. They made the food selecting process very easy! The taste was amazing as well! We got the super green salad mix + Jasmine rice for a base, then my husband got the honey chicken salad which was very good! He was looking for the spicy lamb meatballs but they were got at that moment, I got the braised lamb You get 3 dip/spread options I did the harissa which is supposed to be spicy with three but it wasn't very spicy at all, the Tzatziki, and the red pepper hummus- everything was buried under the toppings so I ended up mixing everything anyway. Toppings are unlimited a lot of cucumbers, tomatoes, and red onions. Very good! The pickled red onion wasn't as sour as other places- which made the flavor blend in very well worth the rest of the bowl. I alway like a crunch factor and got the pita crisps and love those! You also get a dressing at the end tried the Greek vinaigrette but with all the other dips and flavors I couldn't tell you the taste! My only cava experience has been at this location I previously visited back in November the customer service experience wasn't friendly as I asked questions by it being my first time , the options of availability was limited all the items I was hoping to add into my bowl wasn't available and extra items I had gotten alone with my pita bread was left out of my bag . To come back months later and to have the same experience I've very disappointed with this location again the customer service was even worst . I wish I had taken a picture there was almost nothing to chose from and there was a line of customers . Really there wasn't anything to add into the bowl but the left overs completely empty food line . After checking out went to get utensils there wasn't any available . Got home ate a little the next morning woke up feeling so bad I do believe it was the unsanitize unclean food at this location. read more

Ever since I learned Cava was coming to Irving, I have been so hype for it to open. I attended their soft open yesterday at lunch and it lived up to my memories from when I ate there at DC. I really love the variety of ingredients and toppings that they offer. I got the harissa, tzatziki, and hummus on my bowl. I also enjoy the "greens and grains" combo instead of just a plain bowl. Dammit, I really want this concept to work out. The idea that it's a "Mediterranean Chipotle " is valid. Line up, get a bowl, fill it up with always fresh grains, salads, hummus, bunch of protein choices and an acre of toppings. It's great, really great. The problem is staffing, way way understaffed, everyone present is working like a mule, they are just way in over their head. Fix the pay, staff adequately it could be a winner. read more

If I could give -5 stars I would. Terrible service, no explanation, no assurance, NOTHING! Hire more people, do something because whatever you guys are doing at this location isn't working. And i have been addicted to alot of healthy food so I have to try this place. First impression.. the LINE IS SOOO LONG AF! holy cow! Soooo many people and not enough employees, but I am committed to try cava also because legacy west is not that close to my house. So I promise myself to try cava no matter what hurricane coming my way. Finally after 30-40 minutes waiting in line.. IT'S MY TURN NOW! I order urugula with chicken, tahini ranch sauce with alllllll the toppings without the cheese. In all honesty, the 30-40 minutes waiting in line with anger just faded away because how good the food is!!!! It's so fresh, so delicious, i feel healthy, and the portion is HUGE! Cava is one of the places where we can get extremely healthy food that is also tasty and heavily customisable. There is everything for everyone. I ordered the build your own and given my experience in preparing salad bowls pretty often for my weeknight dinners, I was able to build a bowl that tasted amazing. The veggies are fresh, meats are nicely cooked and seasoned, the salad/ healthy rice base options are hearty. The place is neat and ambiance is quite. My friend tried their spicy bowl (honey tobacco?) and it was ok. It's a bit overpowering for me. The portions are huge. I've tried Cava in couple other locations and they all were good. They will not warn or tell you price different. It's a bad bad business model. They're trying to make money through customers' mistakes. Fool me once, that's a strike. Debated between 2 or 3 stars because the food is good, but the service is really lacking. Both employees that helped me were so rude. I had asked for a couple of the dips, and the first woman added them on (unpleasantly). Then the next employee on the line accidentally mixed up my bowl with someone else's, which I just let go cuz they were busy and it was mostly the same (minus the dips I had gotten). When it was my turn to finish my bowl the woman asked what I else I wanted, so I asked for the dips again and she literally rolled her eyes for each one I asked for (because she had to backtrack on the assembly line)... When I casually tried to explain that she had mistakenly used mine for someone else, she told me that didn't happen (??) so I just let it go lol. Pretty sure she was the manager too cuz she had a collared shirt on. The owner really needs to send a secret shopper to see how they act in here. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been to this location twice and have used Uber Eats a few times for this restaurant. The food is good but notes are always missing and when I'm at the location I feel rushed. The last two times I orders on UberEats and they got items I ordered wrong, I called the restaurant and was told I need to contact Uber directly. I've never wanted a refund I've wanted to have what I ordered. Last night I ordered through the app and my entire order was not edible. The paper that goes on the outside of the cup was INSIDE. Very unsanitary in my opinion. My bowl was spilled all on the bottom of the bag. I scooped it back into the bowl because I was told to send pics of it in the bowl. That did not make sense. When I called Cava I was hung up on twice. I wasn't looking for anything but a replacement so I could have a meal. When I got someone they said it was near closing and to reach out through Uber. I did that and was told I wouldn't be getting a refund which isn't what I even wanted in the first place. I just wanted my bowl, drink, and brownie. The brownie was the only think I could eat because it was packaged. I am very disappointed. I am out $26 and I didn't even get the meal. I recently celebrated my birthday at the Newport News location because I loved the quality of the food so much and wanted to share that with my family and friends but I'm not sure if I can even come here anymore when no one cares that I couldn't even eat what I paid for. read more
