Cava was pretty good but nothing to phone home about. This is another Chipotle style eatery- where you pick your carb base, protein, and then toppings. I thought the saffron basmati rice was a great rice option but I wish there was a second lentil option instead of just the black lentils. The dips and spreads are a nice touch but I thought it would make more sense if the these were after you select the protein instead of before. I also wish the lamb didn't cost extra. It's almost teasing the customer keeping a yummy option but with a higher price tag- reminds me of Chipotle's $2 guacamole option. I also wasn't the biggest fan of their menu signs. Why are the signs so small? And why are there menu option signs all over the restaurant? The menu signs should state what ALL the options are for each step with pricing options! Came here for a quick takeout during rainy day. I ordered green + grain bowls with a pita bread on the side. It only costed me $11 and big enough to have it for two separate meals. The toppings I chose was supergreens, grilled chicken, beef meatballs, brown rice, tzatziki sauce, vegetables with garlic and shkzu sauce. It was delicious even after 20 minutes of driving, I will try new ingredients and bowls and next time as well! read more

I love cava. I don't love that the rewards program that gives you "free CAVA on your birthday" is only a $9 credit when all the bowls are $11-14. Cava as a corporate body needs to do better. Solid option in Fenway, plus they are one of few places open late at night in this area. It's my go to for a balanced meal that has veggies, proteins, grains, etc! Great value as well. I am a big fan of the Skhug sauce. read more

Had a beyond amazing experience with the staff and manager! Doordash cancelled my order with 2 hours till lunch time and I walked in and was helped! The staff and manager were extremely kind, helpful and attentive. They were able to complete my order and resolve my issue! The food was incredible! I love when you can customize your food! And cava let's you do just that! First off, this place reminded me of noon Mediterranean (used to be called verts). You can make a pita, grain or salad bowl, mini pita with soup...basically you can have your food your way. I decided to stop in cava for lunch on Saturday and I tried the grain bowl. It comes with a small pita. I tried the hummus, harissa, and the red pepper hummus. Honestly these were just ok, I honestly liked the dressings better. The falafel was good and it's different than normal ones - it has whole chickpeas in it. You can add unlimited mini salads or pickled veggies. They have soda and also fresh juices (similar to sweet green). I really enjoyed the apple-mint juice. It was very refreshing. Service was great! I'll come back to try other combinations! read more

Fresh, flavorful food and fantastic service - what more can you ask for? I'd been meaning to try this place out ever since I saw a "coming soon" sign on the window. Like other Yelpers have said, this place is kinda like a Chipotle, where you build your own bowl or pita sandwich with grains, veggies, proteins, and sauces. All the staff were so nice and friendly and really explained the different kinds of options you can choose from. Shoutout to the gentleman who was at the first stop on the base and proteins section. He was awesome! I find that a lot of BYO places don't get their rice cooked right all the time- it's either mushy or undercooked and dried out, so I'm really glad that the saffron rice here was perfect. The sauces also add an extra layer of flavor and I can't wait to try the ones I didn't get this time to find out my favorite. CAVA is near where I used to work, but now that I no longer work in the area, I still would trek here because it's so good! read more

SO good! SO satisfying! This is my go-to weeknight dinner spot, especially if I haven't eaten much all day and am starving. You basically build a Greek-inspired bowl and can add all sorts of proteins, veggies, yummy sauces on top of a bed of grains and/or greens. I usually get the splendid greens and brown rice as a base and fill it all the way with diverse toppings and finish it off with their lemon herb tahini dressing (so bomb). You get an incredible amount of food, so it's a great value. Also, don't forget to ask for a free pita on the side! read more

Absolutely to die for! After hearing amazing things about Cava for years I finally tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and have already ordered from here three times. The online ordering process is seamless and the food was ready, hot, and exactly how I ordered it every time. The Harissa Avocado bowl is one of the best fast casual meals I've ever had and my husband said the lamb pita was also fantastic. Parking can be a challenge here, but there are garages around if you can't find anything else. Overall, it's reasonably priced, delicious, and relatively healthy! read more

Cava has largely been one of my few sources of happiness during quarantine. Never been in person, but we hve ordered takeout every single week and it has never let me down. Such fresh veggies, I love how healthy and filling it is!! It's a standard! We usually just get the grain bowls and customize but the little pitas are also fantastic, as are their hummus dips and pita chips. If you don't do meat, I'd recommend doing half falafel half white sweet potato for your bowl! read more

Staff is so friendly and helpful at this busy location. Great place is you are gluten free or vegan or have food allergies/ everything well marked and a menu allergen guide is available. Definitely the food is really fresh and such, and a bunch of the toppings are nice and yummy. But you're just kinda getting served a bunch of raw ingredients (other than the meats), stuffed into a bowl, and then it's called food. I get it, it's trendy and I am glad people like it (and not settling for submarine sandwiches). Definitely not a lunch that will put you to sleep in the middle of a working day! Plus: healthy, quite yummy Minus: kinda like a salad bar, but someone else serves you instead of you serving yourself Note: Rating really more for the setup, rather than quality. *Review based solely on FOOD* Presentation: 4 Texture: 5 Flavor: 4.5 Would return? Yes Must-try: Crazy Feta Dip Portions are generous, flavors are authentic, seasoning is on the spot, variety is always there (meaning they are rarely "out" of an ingredient) - those are the things I think about whenever CAVA comes to mind. You can probably guess I've been here many times, and it (almost) never disappoints. I did find some consistency issues through the pandemic but I cannot judge too harshly because...well... it's a pandemic. Things I love: - Crazy Feta dip is spicy, creamy and delicious! I mean you can never go wrong with cheese. - The falafels here are very good! Unlike any other falafel you may have tried, these are not crispy (which I would usually rate as horrible) but the flavor is so good you forget about the crispiness. - Unlimited toppings!! What more can you ask for? Try the pickled onions! - The pita on the side is super delicious and always warm. Things I do not like: - The pita chips just don't do it for me, and I love chips more than anything but these ones are thick and greasy... could improve. Go-to order: Salad bowl with Supergreens + 1/2 Chicken + 1/2 Falafel + Hummus + Crazy Feta + Roasted Eggplant + ALL toppings (except for Black olives) + Lemon Herb Tahini Dressing + Pita on the side. (If you are trying to avoid bread just don't order the pita, it will be too warm to resist). Non-Food Stuff: I've had mixed experiences with service but honestly more bad than good ones. People they hire are just not usually friendly or they don't train them to be friendly. The drinks are also a problem for me here since they don't have common brands and no sodas. Hope this helps! So many options!! Seems to be the Fenway theme to open up these choose as you go lunch spots. This one is no different. Think gourmet chipotle Mediterranean style. Choose your base (few different salads, grains, pita), choose a protein or vegetable, and all the toppings you could want. I was going for a carb free meal so opted out of pita chips but they looked utterly delicious. I got a mixed salad base with cabbage and kale (chopped up in small pieces), with braised lamb. The lamb was soft and not over cooked and although overpowering (as lamb usually is), it was incredibly tasty. I'm impressed. read more

A friend had recommended trying CAVA and it was such a good choice!!! Due to COVID, I ordered online and went to pick up. From what I saw, it seems like people could also order inside as well. The pick up area is at the end of the order line. The website was easy to use, I ordered 2 greens and grains bowls. I was able to add anything I wanted. The portions were perfect and it was definitely one of the tastier and healthier dishes I've ordered in a while. The dish was super colorful and fun to eat. I would definitely order here again! I like that their set bowls on the menu also displays all the ingredients in it so I was able to make a similar version of a classic bowl but with a bit of my own twist :) This location is on a very busy street so I suggest to come with more than 1 person so you can have one person sit in the car while the other picks up. Between two layers of crispy chips laid the chewy texture of fried mushrooms, the sweetness of cauliflower, the nutty aroma of pine nuts, and the refreshing sweet and sour taste of yogurt--a random combination that offered a different experience with every bite. The cauliflower, in particular, was crisp yet not tough, with a naturally gentle sweetness--a first for me. However, towards the end, the crispy chips became very slightly oily. Sultan's Delight: Perfect as a main course. The beef was stewed to perfection, incredibly tender and flavorful, almost falling apart the moment it touched the knife. It required absolutely no effort, reminiscent of a master butcher skillfully carving up an ox in Zhuangzi莊子, who kept his knife like new over nineteen years. The tamarind brought a slightly fermented, tangy aroma, while the smoked eggplant puree, likely babaganoush, was smooth and creamy with a mild, pleasant smokiness. The lemon juice, however, adds a refreshing touch, creating an interesting layering of acidity. It looked small, but it was surprisingly satisfying. The only downsides were the beef was slightly over-salty and the basil leaves, which seem to serve only a decorative purpose. Baked Alaska: A signature dessert, very popular on social media. Frankly, I came specifically for this, but after eating it, all I can say is, "Who's promoting this?"... The presentation was truly stunning, and the first few bites were quite good. The meringue was was torched to create a thin, burnt crust, resulting in a delicate and light texture, while the coconut ice cream blended with the bitter aroma of coffee. However, the base, a nut tart similar to a five-nut mooncake五仁月餅 filling, was too dense and heavy; the passion fruit syrup was excessively sweet and acidic, even a small amount was cloying, making it a torture by the end. Given that Mediterranean cuisine is generally pretty accommodating to that, not having even a falafel option for protein certainly came as a surprise! My first time here, we ended up with the fish and chips and baklava - both were edible but not great, and the best item on the table ended up being the complimentary bread (lots of end pieces, which I'm personally a fan of, but others may feel differently). The fish was uninspired and didn't taste like much, and the chips were steak fries, which lived up to the reputation of being less crunchy and seasoned. I was really excited for the baklava, but it also ended up disappointing. The texture was hardened, like it wasn't fresh, and it was so overpoweringly sweet that we couldn't finish it. On my second visit, the bread was just as good, and we ordered a nice spread: fried zucchini, spanakopita, beef dolmades, rice pilaf, and gyro (without meat). The gyro was sad without falafel or any protein option, but the veggies inside were pretty good. On the other hand, I wasn't a huge fan of any of the appetizers/sides. The fried zucchini was incredibly oily and wet, without much flavor; the rice pilaf did have some sauce on top but wasn't particularly tasty. The spanakopita was decent but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. I will note, however, that the staff was excellent, attentive and accommodating. The outdoor patio was also quite nice and a beautiful spot to sit on the street and people-watch.

Every ounce of food was incredible: we eat out a lot and I have to say, the seared foie was my favorite thing in awhile. We had escargot, foie and carpaccio. All incredible. We started with the beef tenderloin pizza, which was uniquely delicious and expertly prepared. The Mistral linguine was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The highlight was the lamb osso bucco--tender, rich, and absolutely memorable. Shortly after we were seated, the Maitre D', Nicholas, stopped by our table to check in. He was personable and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome and well taken care of. We mentioned we had tickets to the Boston Pops, and the team made sure our courses were timed perfectly, allowing us to enjoy our meal without ever feeling rushed. Mistral delivered on every level--phenomenal food, polished service, and thoughtful attention to our schedule. We'll absolutely return and highly recommend it for a flawless dining experience in Boston.
