First time stopping into this CAVA in Financial District. It was quite busy for weekend lunch time but the staff were great! They made everyone's orders super quick & they didn't skimp on any of the ingredients either. I ordered my usual custom bowl: -arugula + saffron basmati rice -crazy feta, roasted eggplant, & harissa -harissa honey chicken -spicy lamb meatballs -corn -pickled onions -broccoli -tomatoes + onions -garlic dressing And I also got a drink: mix of blueberry lavender + jasmine green tea. Food - 9/10 only because sometimes I get shreds of lettuce that are on its way out the door. But the flavor and freshness of everything has been excellent. Well seasoned, delicious, and nourishing food! They somehow made food taste good and feel good too! Service - 9/10 these folks know how to keep a line going...until you get to the payment part. They have a system down pat to get people through the line as fast they can but the problem becomes that it is too fast and the cash register person can't handle them all at once. I get it, they want to move the line quickly. But it starts to get confusing when the end of the line slows down yet everyone else is full speed. Then payment feels rushed and I can never get a receipt. I've given up on that. But food is delicious enough that I'll deal with the line and inefficient cash register things. Place is nice and clean and always stocked well. Overall a quick and efficient place to grab lunch during the week. I can walk to the store, grab food, and be back within a half hour which is helpful when trying to get food in before my next meeting! read more

I love meals at Cava but the Summer Street location has some serious operations issues. It's not unheard of that, even when you order on the app, your salad still isn't on the pickup shelf half an hour after the stated pickup time. Which was why I chose the "text notification" option and gave them an hour-long lead time. I didn't receive a text so took my chances and walked to the restaurant. My order was not on the shelf but after inquiring it seemed the staff had kept it safe in the kitchen, which is fine, but I wish they would have sent a message to let me know it was ready for pickup. read more

This was so good! I have heard a lot about CAVA and this was my first time trying it. I ordered ahead and picked it up. I built my own bowl with harissa honey chicken because everyone raves about it. There was a nice kick to the bowl and the flavors were really good. Everything paired really nicely together. I also liked how I could get the dressings on the side. Food is like any other Cava, it's pretty good and coming from Hawaii where we don't have it-I am always excited to see it on the mainland. The bad review is for Jennifer. I felt super rushed to make my choices, like when I was picking my three dips her tone and atrocities made me second guess if I was allowed three dips so I got two dips before she shoved me down the line. I also felt very embarrassed when I said I wanted romaine as a topping and she told me that I had to pick from the toppings directly in front of her, so romaine wasn't an option since it was to her left :(( It's a chain, just go to a different one. read more

This review has been in my drafts for a while now so it's only right to finally post it. This was my first time trying Cava, as I was on my way back home after a long day at work. The Cava location on summer street was extremely clean and the servers were very nice and attentive upon our entrance. As a first timer I opted for a bowl with half greens and half rice. For the proteins I went with the falafel, as I am a no meat eater. Just like chipotle you get to use s variety of toppings and veggies. Some of the ones I highly recommend are the picked cucumbers, pickled onions and the corns which we're extremely delicious. Something that I really liked about Cava is that you get to pick your sauces, their Greek yogurt sauce and hummus were so good and definitely made a difference in the taste of my bowl. I do not completely remember how much I paid for the bowl but it must have been around 12$, and on top of that I I clicked a side of their fried pita chips which were absolutely amazing. Overall I really loved my first time eating Cava and I highly recommend all my chipotle lovers to give it a try. read more

Cava continues to deliver on excellent food, service, and clean eateries! Despite some minor growing pains with a new location, this Cava has hit the nail on the head where it comes to the essentials. To start with, all of the ingredients are bright, fresh and high quality. No sad greens or veggies, and no proteins beset by water from sitting out too long. Secondly, the service has been very speedy and kind. Lastly, the location is very clean - which can be tough considering the location borders the Financial District and Downtown Crossing. Finally, I do have two minor notes - just feedback, not complaints: 1. I once asked for a kiddie Pita - which caused some confusion. Does he mean a bowl? A full pita? I guess an adult ordering something like that is a little uncommon. No worries 2. When deciding on a hummus, there was some confusion regarding what is what. Given, there is a label listing the possibilities, but asking "What is the orange one?" led to some confusion. I am thrilled to have a Cava so close to my work, and to have a location that I will enjoy (not dread) visiting, even if it is a grab & go affair. read more

why would they put their most grumpy employee as the first person we talk to... i asked for Brown Rice and a little black lentil (never tried it before) and she plopped a huge scoop of those lentils all over my brown rice. She didn't even say hello or nothing. The bowl itself was pretty good but i think Naya is better. They need to school their employees on customer service... all the others on the line were not friendly at all and barely spoke. Not good for a new restaurant in the area. read more

Trying Mediterranean cuisine on my own for the 1st time, I was pleasantly surprised. You can't go wrong with the braised lamb, chicken nor falafel. Not a good location. Never been there before so I tried it out. but felt so rushed as soon as I was inside. Line reaches all the way out the door. Barely any seating at all. The workers are all in a rush and makes ordering as a customer even more confusing. They messed up on my order and add sauces and stuff I didn't even ask for. Noticed it wasn't only mine they messed up on, By putting the wrong things in order bowls. I wish i would have tried my usual Cava location in cambridge instead of 125 summer street. I ordered the chicken greek salad bowl which was so watery at the bottom, and did not taste fresh what so ever, it looked like it was just thrown together in a hurry, chicken was very chewy, I actually just threw the entire bowl in the trash, what a complete waste of my money, never again.
