My new fave spot for lunch! Working around this area my toughest decision for the day is always what to eat for lunch. My days are now made easier with Cava! I always make my own bowl and even with some of the combinations I put together I have never had a bad experience! The greens are super fresh and crunchy, the proteins are super tender, juicy, and flavorful! And don't even get me started on the falafel! It is sooo good! I am publicly declaring that CAVA is my favorite fast casual restaurant out there. This is basically Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Chipotle but the toppings are even better and more diverse. First, you pick your base, whether it be rice, various types of greens (like super greens, arugula, or spinach), or lentils. Then you pick your spreads, with options like hummus, harissa, tzatziki, and crazy feta. Then you pick your protein. The only "normal" options here are Grilled Chicken and Veggies. They really differentiate themselves with their other proteins though: Spicy Lamb Meatballs, Braised Lamb, and Falafel. Then you get to the toppings WHICH ARE ALL FREE! I load it up with almost everything, including cabbage slaw, tomato & cucumber, pickled onions, and banana peppers. But there is still more! If all those flavors didn't appeal to you already, you can add dressing, either on the side (I like it on the side) or on top. My go-to is the lemon herb tahini but they also have green harissa, yogurt dill, and greek vinaigrette. Even though this place is next to SweetGreen, I will choose CAVA every time. read more

Unassuming with service bar where you fill your bowl with different salads, pick your vegetables, proteins, feta, tahini, sauces, all for less then 10 bucks. Delicious drink bar with homemade juices, teas and sodas. Free refills on drinks. Loved that all the sodas were made with natural ingredients instead of artificial syrups! Was a big fan of Cava when I lived in another state, but had the worst experience I've ever had at a Cava this evening. Pickup order missing 7 components, and the incorrect food in the bowl was scant at best. While in store, a pita was not included with my bowl so I went to the counter to ask for one. No one was in line or currently creating their bowl, two staff members were making takeout orders with another two just behind the counter doing other work. After being completely ignored for 5+ minutes, I politely asked for a pita when I finally caught one of the staff member's attention. They didn't respond, continued to ignore me, proceeded to make another entire order, and then came to the counter to say, "we're out of pita." As I was grabbing utensils and napkins, another customer was finishing ordering (started while I was still being ignored), and I saw the same staff member put a pita on the counter for the bowl. CAVA's chipotle-estque arrangement starts you off with a diverse selection of grains, greens or pita bases, followed by your choice of protein. Your selection of toppings is poke bowl style; offering a variety of fresh veggies and 'salads' as well as a choice of up to 3 spreads. My personal favorites among these were the pickled onions, tomato cucumber salad, eggplant dip and harissa! Since I first discovered the place, I've come back several times to satisfy my cravings for a large hearty bowl! Definitely don't pass up on the 'side pita'. I came here to meet a friend for lunch, and we both loved it. The food was delicious and there were a lot of choices for sides. The lamb meatballs I got may have been cooked in separate batches as they were cooked to different degrees. The option for salad and grains provide a healthy choice for those that want to limit their carb intake. There is a self serve tea and soft drink station that provides a variety of choices. I had the lime cucumber drink, which was very refreshing. The only thing I didn't like was that the tea drinks were extremely sweet and I could taste how much added sugar was in them. read more

As a homeless man was unfortunately harassing me as I was in line, I happened to make eye contact with the lone male server across the way at the cash register. Being a female all alone at night, I cannot express how thankful I am for the way that this server protected me from possible harm while in the restaurant.
