Born and raised in Southern California, I had a great variety of eateries that served Mexican Breakfasts. They have a competent staff that works diligently to serve food that is hot, fresh and delicious. There is only one aspect of their service keeping them from being a 5 Star Review; they do not mark which burrito is which. I have made the request several times when ordering and they still send the food out with no indication which item is which. We have not found any of the food at Catrina's to be less than excellent. But, they never distinguish items that look similar to one another. This can be a frustration, literally biting into each burrito, or unrolling it, to discover which one is which. As burritos pretty much look alike once unwrapped. After a couple years, this one small thing has actually caused us to eat there less often. read more

This place has amazing street tacos! The steak tacos are the definite go to. They were able to make a long days much better. I'd ask for light onions and light l cilantro while you are at it. I had three tacos; carnitas, lengua, and steak. When I got them, the presentation was great. I was highly disappointed in the steak quality and was more like dry ground beef and the carnitas was average at best. Honestly my favorite out of the three was the lengua tacos.
