So, Tacowasso is most often found in Collinsville. I've been dying to try this food truck's offerings for a while. We stopped for lunch. I'm giving them a five for the street tacos (we tried a beef, pork, chicken and chorizo) on the platter (with rice and beans and a canned drink). Tacos were amazing. Ok... so we had our first run in with this lovely truck tonight and I'd love to hold back this fifth star but... seriously... the meats are well seasoned and they can make a mean street taco. So I tried one pork taco expecting to be let down and holly hell I shoulda got all pork... the chicken wasn't too shabby and the steak was wow... right amount of onions and cilantro on each taco not to over power anything but to compliment...... I also got a tamale and it had the right amount of sweetness that too many people miss when making them and the same awesomeness inside The wife tried the keto bowl and sadly they were out of avacados but she was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Like even I wish I had gotten that as well. Hard part was we went on Taco Tuesday, but the extra wait was soooo worth it! Like I'm wishing they were open once a week for a breakfast burrito... After reading the reviews I was super hesitant, but originally I'm from LA and I just moved here and had a craving for tacos so I gave it a shot. I was not disappointed. Food was good, I ordered street tacos, chicken flautas, and tamales. Of course I don't think anything will ever compare to My hometown but I will definitely return. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I asked for no onions and I got onions, and the Togo salsas spilled all over my bag from being slightly open. The best thing I can say is that I'm no longer hungry. The food was just bad. There is nothing "authentic Mexican" about it. I mean, how do you screw up rice and beans? They tasted like cardboard. And the burritos were not terrible, but not good either. Cilantro on the nachos was poorly distributed. Chip after chip of no cilantro at all, then a chip with all the cilantro. Really, just bad... So we decided to give it another shot and it was actually worse than the first time. The sauces are still really good but my wife and I both got separate dishes with the same type of meat. Mine was so salty it was basically inedible and gave me an upset stomach. I'm usually a person that has a heavy hand with seasoning and this was way too much for even me. I am no longer a fan of this of Taco Owasso. I purchased their Enchiladas and was sorry for my choice.I am not sure if they have a new cook of it it was final completed by the checkout folk BUT it was worthless. This was my go to order for so long and I will longer order from them until they get back to the original . The order was just chicken rapped in flour tortillas with cheese and salsa was not included. Will never order from them ever. They are trash. The only thing in my order was retired beans and rice with I could have prepared he at the house.. Sorry never again unless they go back to the original cook or final prep employees. Visited Tacowasso for the first time today, I had the Taco Platter (chorizo and pork mixed) and my friend had the same except steak and pork mixed. Hands down the best tacos outside of a little place off of 11th Street in Tulsa. They win because they have check, tongue, etc. The rice was flavorful and the refried beans are the best anywhere around the Tulsa metro. Huge menu, low prices and great service...I'm a fan and I'll be back many times. This is probably a weekly if not twice weekly staple in my menu moving forward. Kudos! The food is okay quality (nothing spectacular) but the prices for their tacos and platters is a little much for the quality. Also sat back and noticed how different they treat the Hispanic population versus the white people. I went up to order and the cashier lady was still carrying on a conversation with another customer in Spanish and smiling and laughing but had a very straight face when speaking to me. Then I have my Hispanic husband go order something else, he recieved excellent customer service from her. After that another white girl walks up to order and ask what she would recommend and all she says is "chicken" not chicken taco, not chicken quesadilla, nothing. Just takes the money and pushes her along. Sorry but the majority of owasso is not Hispanic, please treat all us with the same respect as you would them. read more
