They only take cash . I have been traveling from Providence to Manhattan for about 10 plus year. I…read morealways took Peter Pan buses . On Thursday March 28th, 2019 was the first time ever that Peter Pan was sold out, it was too late to cancel my hotel. The second option Peter Pan gave me was to stand by in hopes someone wouldn't show up and I needed to be in NYC by 12pm. I have known about Dominican bus transportation and was always scared of taking these buses . When my hair lady told me that her family takes this service, I was more at easy . I headed to their office in broad st. They took down my address and said I would get a call two hours before departure time which was at 6am and also I would get a call 20mts before they arrived at my house . Next morning, they did exactly that. They called me two hours before and 20mts before arrival . There was a mix up with my address but the driver got there. Let's start with the Van : I expected the old vans, since back in my country i traveled in vans like that , I knew the trip was going to be tight; To my surprise it was one of the newest van that arrived, which has a seat belt and all. There cup holders . They still have some of the old vans so you never know what you might get . I was prepare for an adventure . Also, I expected the van to be full and it was only 3 of us plus the driver. I was told there are times when it's completely full so be aware . The driver travels fast, given that we left half an hour late due to the mix up in the address, we arrived at the outskirts of NYC sooner than I expected ( I have never seen this with Peter Pan bus ). They make a stop for bathroom breaks , awesome right! . Usually they stop at exit 40, Dunkin, Macdonald and other restaurant are available here. Sammy , the driver was very helpful in telling me where I should take the train and which train would take me to Manhattan and told me next time I take this company I should tell driver to leave me at the same address. Sammy had the Spanish radio station on , this doesn't bother me as I know where ever you take a Hispanic bus there going to be music playing . He had on merengue and some reggaetón. Sammy would occasionally engage us in conversation . The music was mid level volume. I still could put my headphones on and listen to my own music . If you aren't the type who likes music playing from beg to end , this isn't the company you should take or bring your own headphones and listen to your own playlist. It's a Hispanic company music is expected by their passengers believe me . I will take this service again . I need to get to NYC in the morning as soon as posible . Peter Pan does take time, they have to travel at a certain speed . They only take cash so make sure you bring . I wish I could pay upon reservation but they charge you on the bus. Also , they have new owners I think that's made a difference . I read the reviews and it didn't look good but I was pleasantly surprise

Well, they charged me $85 and it took 5 1/2 hours. The van driver said he was shocked to have me on the van because I was the first white person that he had seen use this service. That was a little off.

He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

Unfortunately, the service provided on our wedding day fell significantly short of our expectations…read moreand, more concerningly, was both unsafe and unprofessional. Safety Concerns The driver attempted to overfill the bus, trying to fit the entire group of over 120 people despite the bus not having enough seats. I personally had to intervene to ensure people were removed from the bus to avoid passengers standing in the aisles. After the fact, we learned that some guests were forced to sit on each other's laps, and the driver reportedly drove erratically to the destination causing two of our guests, who were NOT overserved, to vomit right when they got off. The safety of our guests was compromised, and the shuttle service was managed in a way that was neither professional nor responsible. Service Issues Once I managed to get people off the first shuttle and ensured the driver returned for the second trip (as per the contract/itinerary and what we paid for), the remaining guests were finally able to board. However, the second shuttle was only about 25% full, which underscores that there was no reason to overfill the first bus in such an unsafe manner. Impact on Our Event Because of these issues, my wife and I missed a significant portion of our after-party, as we had to deal with ensuring our guests were transported safely--something that should have been entirely your responsibility. Overall, your service was unprofessional and unsafe. It appeared as though the driver was trying to avoid making the required second trip by overcrowding the first shuttle, which we found unacceptable. The Result After flagging our feedback, not only did we not receive any form of compensation for the poor and unsafe service - they offered a $500 gift card for us to use them again which is wild to assume we'd use that service again.

I travel between Washington D.C. and New York City quite often. I have traveled with many other bus…read morecompanies, but Greyhound has been the best I have traveled with so far. The only downside of this station is the limited times of departure from here compared to Port Authority. What I like about Greyhound is that there is an actual covered station for the bus. The A train is also at this station so you don't have to walk outside to continue your travels. Other companies have their pick-up and drop off on the street, which sucks if it's raining out. More often than not, you also have to walk a couple blocks to find the nearest train. The busses usually are a bit late, but it's understandable because the bus I take starts in Boston and picks us up on the way down. Every time there has been a delay, an attendant notified passengers of the new ETA of the bus. Today, my bus left only 10 minutes late, which is the best I've experienced so far. The seats are very comfortable and this is the most leg room I've had on any bus. The wifi's a bit iffy, but that's consistent across all companies. The outlets are great to have so I never have to worry about running low on battery. On the website or app, you get discounts the more you travel (starting with 6 points = 15% off your ticket). You can either print your ticket or show them your phone to check-in. No bus service is perfect, but I'm liking Greyhound the most. Happy travels!
