We picked up OurBus right across from the Javits Center, in the middle of the street. The storage bins were labeled, one for Baltimore, the other for DC. He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station. read more

Very disappointing experience. My family arrived at the Worcester, MA bus stop at 7:35 PM for a scheduled departure. We waited continuously until 8:10 PM, and the bus never arrived. When we contacted customer service, we were told the bus had already left at 7:47 PM, which is simply not consistent with what we experienced. Instead of investigating the situation or showing any empathy, customer service insisted the bus had departed and refused to offer a refund or any meaningful resolution. It's extremely frustrating to be told we missed a bus that never appeared while we were waiting at the designated pickup location. Reliable service and responsive customer support are essential for travelers. Terrible experience! Our group of 32 people waited for over an hour in the rain for the bus to arrive. The bus that finally arrived was a 20-year-old beater. The transmission was bad, the alignment and suspension were shot, and the bathroom door did not latch. The suspension was so severely degraded that it audibly bottomed out on road bumps, causing motion sickness among multiple passengers. The transmission could not maintain speed on inclines, making the journey slow and stressful for everyone on board. The windshield wipers were so worn they could barely clear rain from the windshield (a serious safety hazard). Overhead storage bins would not latch, risking items falling on passengers, and the lighting inside most of them did not work. The spare tires were stored in a luggage compartment and had dangerously little tread remaining. We paid Rally/OurBus for what we were promised would be a newer luxury coach with ample luggage space and modern amenities. Instead, we got an old bus with no electrical outlets, damaged seat upholstery, and a bathroom that reeked before a single passenger had even used it. They sent us a vehicle that should not be in passenger service. When we sought a refund, we were bounced between Rally/OurBus (the broker) and All Aboard Express (the bus company), and now neither company will return our calls. I paid $90 for two tickets from PA to NYC for a Sunday bus in July. The tickets stipulated pickup at a gas station address and a note that someone would call to confirm pickup location prior to pickup - this call did not happen and the bus never arrived. I called four times and was told there was no ETA, but the bus was coming. After waiting over TWO HOURS on a 90 degree day in full sun in a parking lot, I called an Uber and paid an additional $100 to get to the Newark train station and then take the train home. We were left waiting for the bus without any communication or updates from OurBus. After me and 5 other friends that were traveling with me as well the other passengers repeatedly contacted customer service, an Uber was eventually arranged and did not arrive until approximately 10:07 AM! 52 mins after the original time set which was 9:15. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. On the return trip, OurBus changed the drop-off location from Port Authority Bus Terminal to Fort Washington without proper notice or consideration for passengers' travel plans. Instead of arriving at our original destination at 10:00 PM, we were dropped off between 10:20-10:30 PM in a completely different location. Taking me 1hr 30 mins to get home. When sending them an email about my concerns and what I went through, all they could offer was 25% discount coupon. Definitely won't be using their services again. read more

Absolutely disgraceful service. This was, without question, one of the worst transportation experiences I've ever had. The driver showed up 25 minutes late without any explanation or apology. He was shockingly rude and disrespectful to my elderly grandmother, which was completely unacceptable. His driving was reckless, aggressive, and made everyone on board feel unsafe throughout the trip. To make matters even worse, he refused to stop in Jersey City despite already passing through the area and having every opportunity to do so. There was no reasonable explanation for his refusal--it was simply poor customer service and a complete disregard for passengers. This company clearly has no standards when it comes to punctuality, professionalism, customer care, or safety. Everyone in our group will be leaving reviews, and I will also be filing formal complaints with the appropriate regulatory authorities. Let the record show that I have made a Yelp account solely for the purposes of warding anyone and everyone away from this putrescent company. Do not ride this bus, unless you'd like to end up as I had after a particularly miserable bathroom experience. Firstly, the door did not lock. The lock hinge was too low-set for the bathroom door, which in turn necessitated constantly gripping it against the wall like a rock climber looking into the abyss. This was compounded by the complete lack of any toilet paper, paper towels, or any other kind of hygienic standard that the cavemen invented when they decided to stop eating their own feces. Which was what greeted me--with no means to clean myself, I was forced to rip the empty toilet roll from its mount and MacGyver (unsuccessfully) an impromptu anti-shit-streak device. The conclusion of this involves me having to literally punch the hunk of plastic masquerading as a soap dispenser, fiercely rubbing suds on my hands as if I were casting a ward against ever riding this horrible machine again. Do not trust this company's "verified trip data"--it is a fabrication. My son's 4-hour trip turned into a 7-hour ordeal. The Reality: The bus was 90 minutes late to start. During the trip, police intervened and the situation was so serious that the bus required a police escort to the destination. I have a video clip of the police escorting the vehicle. The Cover-up: When I requested a refund, the company claimed the delay was "only 30 minutes" and a "minor speeding ticket." They are blatantly lying to avoid accountability for a major safety failure. The "Resolution": They refused a refund and offered a $10 voucher for a 3.5-hour delay where the driver was legally unfit to continue. Terrible. The bus has a ticker that tracks whether the bus driver exceeds the speed limit and shrieks loudly, "please reduce speed." That's ridiculous on a bus where customers are presumed to be sleeping. It's also ridiculous because a driver with good judgment should exceed the speed limit slightly when everyone in front and behind him does so. Also, the bus was AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE, so is exceeding the speed limit by 1 mph really OurBus's biggest problem? I think not. Never booking here again. read more

The worst bus company. It is not reliable at all. Buses can be delayed or may not arrive at small stations without any announcement. I bought a ticket from King of Prussia to New York on April 18th, and the bus never showed up. I had to contact them for a refund or credit. Provided evidences that I arrived on time and was at the station, but they keep denying everything. No refund or credit was offered. On top of that, the assigned stop was in the middle of nowhere, with no one around (just an empty bus stop). Glad it was not a winter. My bus was scheduled to depart at 10:00 PM but did not arrive until 1:00 AM, over 3 hours late. During this time, customer support repeatedly told passengers the bus would arrive in "10-15 minutes," even though the bus was not moving and remained stuck for a long period. These updates were inaccurate and misleading. Because of these assurances, I stayed at the pickup location in heavy rain, trusting the information provided. As a result, my camera bag was completely soaked, putting $1,400 worth of equipment at risk. There was no guidance provided about shelter or realistic arrival times. When I later contacted support, I was told compensation was not possible due to "traffic," despite the clearly incorrect real-time updates that caused the situation. Do not use this company. When I called to ask to be placed on another bus, they did not accommodate me and made it feel like I was asking for a favor. I will never take ourbus again between philly and nyc. On the way to philly the bus was announced 45 minutes late less than an hour before the scheduled departure time. On the way back it was announced late by 30 minutes about 45 minutes prior to departure time and arrived to pick us up an additional 30 minutes late. On the bus during a 100+ degree heat wave, the air conditioning did not work. This is a safety hazard as you have dozens of people on a bus during a heat wave without any ac. I've been dripping sweat for two straight hours on the bus. Terrible. I'll take peter pan or greyhound next time. read more

While taking a bus from boston to nyc, the bus broke down before even departing and they were unclear about if there would be a replacement for over an hour, so I booked a completely different bus. When I called within the next few days to request my refund, they said it was too late to get a refund and they had given me 50% off on the next ride. While this may sound like a decent benefit, it is limited to a $24 dollar discount and doesn't apply to all the added fees. Overall, poor communication and very predatory refund procedure that cheats you out of your money. read more

On the way to New York I knew it would not be a smooth ride when our bus driver could not turn on the bus so called for maintenance who promptly turned it on in about 2 seconds. Then we made several unessacary stops so that the driver could use the facilities every 30 mins until the journey came to a shrieking halt when we broke down at a gas station in conneticut for 2 and a half hours. My journey back was no less unique as the bus was delayed by 1.5 hours at departure. For compensation all that was received was an offer for 50% any future journeys for the next 60 days. As if I would ever travel with this bus company again. I send a prayer to anyone who would ever venture to use this service. read more

This is not a good company and I would recommend using any other bus line. Our situation was this: I had the bus tracker pulled up on my phone, as the bus was only a few minutes late. I watch, on the tracker, as the bus drives directly past the stop where it is supposed to pick us up. For reference, we were being picked up at a rest stop off the highway. I assume that this must be a glitch of the tracker, and don't think anything of it. 15 more minutes go by, and the bus has still not arrived. I look at the tracker again, and see that it WAS accurate, because the bus has not reportedly done a U-turn off the highway to come back to our stop. However, the driver did not seem to comprehend that, when you go the opposite direction on a road, you are now on the other side of the road. This was evidenced by the fact that the bus stopped at the rest stop on the OTHER SIDE of the highway. The bus sat at that opposite rest stop for 30 full minutes. 30 MINUTES!! On the wrong side of the highway!! How?!?! The bus didn't actually leave the opposite rest stop until we called the Ourbus company to inform them that their driver was on the wrong side of the road, at which point the company called the driver, and the driver finally exited the rest stop to get off the highway and come over to our rest stop. I am completely baffled at why the bus waited on the opposite side of the highway for so long--how could they possibly think they were at the right stop? All in all, this delayed our trip by ~60 minutes. It didn't stop there, however. There was also no WIFI on the bus, even though the site claims there is WIFI. So, that is a lie. Moreover, the attendant who was supposed to hand out water on the bus (there was both a bus driver and someone who sits there just to hand out water), did not hand out any water. There was hardly any AC on the bus, so this was very annoying because it was quite hot. The attendant also had a terrible attitude and neither they nor the driver apologized at all for the delay. Also, the bus smelled terrible and I got a headache by the end of the trip. We requested a refund from the bus company for all of this--after all, the bus driver would have seemingly sat on the opposite side of a 12 lane highway all day had we not called the company to inform them what was occurring--and were denied any sort of refund, full or partial. The company claimed that "since the trip is completed, we cannot provide a refund". So, the standard of this company is very simply just to get you from point A to point B and it does not matter to them if their incompetence leads the trip to take longer than advertised, or if it is a terrible experience for the customer. When I first tried Ourbus, it was a step up from the chaos at Greyhound to go to Atlantic City. After the first experience it has been down hill all the way. They no longer give water, the seats suck, some of the buses are just raggedy. I feel they got greedy. I wouldn't recommend it at all. I bought my returning ticket from Niagara Falls 3 weeks in advance and they reescheduled just hours before the departure for an earlier time. By the moment I realized, my bus was long gone. I spoke to costumer service and they couldn't move me for another time on the same day saying there were no more buses for the day. At the end, I had to stay on a city left behind without any recompensation for food nor a hotel. Don't risk yourself trying to save a few dollars and get on a different company. Booked this bus last minute after my Amtrak train was canceled due to snow. I had a ticket for the 8am bus from Boston to NYC this morning. Because I live outside of the city, I started my trip around 6:30AM to make sure I had time to get to the bus stop. I received a text message during my ride that the bus driver had a family emergency. I have no issues with this. I do, however, find it horrifying that you included the information that the driver's wife had to go to the hospital. If I was the driver, I would be mortified that my company was sharing personal information like that - just saying a medical emergency would have been sufficient. As we approached 9am, I continued to receive messages that the bus would be arriving even later. The last message received stated that it would arrive between 9:45-9:50. The bus did not arrive until 9:55 and then did not leave until after 10. This was already a poor start for the trip. The bus did not have Wifi. The bathroom had no toilet paper and the hand sanitizer dispenser was empty as well. This is deplorable conditions for a four hour trip (I wish it was only four hours). As we got close to 1.5 hours remaining, the bus driver unexpectedly pulled into and parked at a rest stop. Some people started to get off, assuming it was a planned rest stop. As the time began to extend past 10 minutes, with the driver giving no explanation, I looked outside. Multiple people were talking to the driver as he looked at the side of the bus. He finally returned to the bus after about 20 total minutes and said the bus is broken and the company is trying to provide a new one. No estimate was given. People started to get off and take their belongings and the bus driver yelled at them, asking why they were taking their belongings. I do not know how many people left, but it seems as though at least half of the occupants left the bus. I was able to share an Uber to the nearest train station and am currently on route to my destination. I received a text that there was a relief bus on the way while on the train, around 3:09 pm - over an hour after the bus had already broken down. The fact that there was no update for over an hour is more ridiculous than the fact that the relief bus was over 30 minutes away. This has truly been the trip from hell. I would not recommend OurBus to anyone and I will never be using them again. read more
