The food and vibe here are very good. The pastries and the breakfast burrito are outstanding. The staff is generally friendly and on top of things. There is a large communal table next to the giant front window, which is a great place to work, and there are a few two seater tables in the back. They also have free WiFi, but limit use to 90 minutes. Also, they have only a few outlets, so if you're trying to plug in electronics, you might have an issue. The only thing I don't like about this place is the coffee. The espresso is the very strong, very bitter, kind of sour type, and it's just not for me.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon, first you should know they validate parking, scan QR code inside. Very vibrant colors welcome you in, the community table available upfront for laptop and screen use on weekends and more intimate style towards back of cafe. Ordering was a breeze, asked a few questions about the menu and was guided to my choice. Drinks are brought over following the table numbers given at checkout. The mocha was really rich dark chocolate, not for a sweet tooth, and the matcha my partner got flavoured with vanilla. We enjoyed them. Sustainable efforts are well on their way here and that was nice to see. Will definitely be back! There's a great menu waiting to be tried.

    Honey Bunches of Oat Latte

I've visited Catalog Coffee multiple times but have always: *Taken my order to go *Only ordered a Honey Bunches of Oat Latte and/or bagged coffee The Latte is pretty good. It is sweeter than coffee I normally drink so I put it in the "dessert coffee" tier. Definitely a good signature drink that keeps me returning. Catalog sells, and uses, Passenger Coffee (from Lancaster, PA). I'm a fan and so I have purchased bags during my visits. The bags are higher priced and smaller than what you can get at other local shops but the flavor and quality can be better. Overall, I am a fan of the Catalog Coffee Specialty drinks and will continue stopping by when I'm in the mood for a "dessert coffee". Who knows, maybe I'll even get around to trying one of their vegan menu items?

Yesterday was my first time sitting at the coworking table and I will be back! I loved the decorations inside of Catalog but I especially loved the fact that the large window was open so you could sit on the ledge and be both inside and outside. I ordered the matcha oat latte and the umami breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was an interesting taste, good but I would probably skip it next time unless you love umami taste. Service was also good.

Ive decided to give more patronage to local coffee cafes instead of chain options. I decided on this cafe shop today. Its located in Hampden's busy area with very hard to find parking. I entered after waiting on the outside because its apparently a popular spot. After looking over the menu I decided on an iced vanilla latte made with oatmilk and a avocado, egg, turkey sausage on sourdough and a side of french toast. Yes extra because I want to try everything that caught my eye today. Prior to food coming out I found a seat at the community style table as the other seats for more intimate setting were full. I then went to the bathroom to wash my hands. It was clean and they have two gender neutral bathrooms. Food came out. The french toast was cold and okay. My sandwich was made with fried egg with runny yolk. I had to send it back for fried egg without runny yolk. They were go friendly and caring. The only hiccup was they provided a new sandwich that came out with runny fried eggs again. However, 3 is a charm. It came out correct and tasty. The mode/atmosphere with patrons, staff and decor gives hipster and happines with welcoming to all humans. Ill come back as I enjoy the vibe.

I love coffee. Let me open with that. And catalog serves coffee up right! Their plain ole coffee is my favorite in Hampden. It's smooth and not acidic and pretty reasonably priced! The staff here is so welcoming and kind. I also love any place that does a rewards program, and catalogue does! Their food? Also amazing. I love their breakfast burritos. They're MASSIVE. They're two meals for me and I'm not a small human with a small appetite. I appreciate that they source locally. That is important to me! However, catalog is the pricier of the coffee shops in Hampden, but it also has the best location and is the newest. Seating can be a bit hard to get, I appreciate that they encourage time limits on the weekend, and ask that single computer users sit at the communal table. Over all, big fan! Great coffee and food, at a cute bright shop, with great people serving it up.

This is a super hipster coffee shop. The feel, the drink offers, and the food. They had nitros, freddos, and interesting seasonal flavors. Personally, the espresso was not to my taste, but the latte was still good. I got the seasonal special, cardamom orange latte. I was told it was more orange than cardamom. In the first few sips that was not true, but as the dried orange sat in the drink it got more orange forward. Fun to drink, but wouldn't get it again. This place is worth a try, but I'm not rushing back.

Their nitro cold brew iced tea is excellent. It's what I crave on the weekends. Staff here is always friendly and kind. And the space is super cool. It belongs in Hampden.

Nice coffee shop, but a bit on the pricier end for a café. I got the Bmore Breakfast Banh Mi ($13.50). You get to customize the type of bread you want and how you want your egg cooked. I chose ciabatta with an over easy egg. I only got half a sandwich, which I thought was such a small portion for the price. Keep in mind this is not your traditional Bahn Mi. There was good acidity from the pickled carrots. Although I was not a big fan of the mint. I feel like they should've used cilantro instead. I got their popular 16 ounce Honey Bunches Latte which cost $8. I personally do not think it was really worth $8, but it was good. I ordered it extra hot, but when I received it, it was more warm than hot. I also got the 16 ounce Nitro Iced Coffee for $6. It tasted like a normal iced coffee nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. There's plenty of seating inside and the service was fast. They have a coffee station where you can add your own dairy and syrup. They only had half-and-half and oat milk at the coffee station- no whole milk. The half-and-half carafe was empty so I had to ask them to fill it up. They were kind enough to do it in a quick manner. In regards to parking, there's only street parking.

i've been here several times now, and it gets kind of crazy on weekends! the service is always super nice (i stopped in for a cup of water once and they happily provided) and the food is delicious! i usually order a cup of tea and the bird banh. the bird banh is a little spicy and has a really fresh and well rounded flavor profile. on weekdays, this is a good spot to get some work done. be aware that they have a 90 minute laptop limit, and laptops cannot be used at the smaller tables on weekends. i like that this facilitates human to human interaction, and if you want to work for longer or on certain days then you can look for a different spot. this is one of my favorite coffee shops around.

Have visited Catalog a few times now. Modern Decor with some fun decorations on the shelves behind the counter-mini sports Bobble head collection, Rooster statue to name a few. They have merch for sale as well featured coffee for sale from area Roasters. Nice mix of music piping through the speakers (I.e Marley, soft and upbeat instrumental etc.). An inviting atmosphere where you want to stay for a bit-I see why they have the "please be courteous and limit your stay to 90 minutes or less" table tent. Note-They close the kitchen an hour before closing time. I ordered a spicy Mocha which has some spicy notes but somehow drinks like a tea. Something different and enjoyed it. Have tried a couple of breakfast sandwiches- The Remington Scramble (my favorite) mushrooms, spinach cheddar and chives made for a tasty sandwich. "What the Kitchen Eats" was also very good although the Cito sauce overpowered the Paprika eggs. Friendly and upbeat service. You get the sense from watching them make the coffee/tea drinks they are serious about the process-it carries through to their coffee/tea creations. Windows open up on nice days for an open air atmosphere. Another Hampden Coffee spot worth the stop.

With prime real estate on the Avenue, Catalog Coffee is dishing out memorable cafe fair alongside top notch barista brews. The smaller store front hides the depth of the cafe's space, which is filled with ample tables for groups and individuals alike. The staff is beyond warm and welcoming, and drinks and food ordered at the counter are brought to you table side. I started with an oat milk latte, which was top notch. Based on the selection of beans for purchase, it's evident that Catalog knows good coffee. Pastries are supplied daily by nearby Maillard and the latte paired with their famous Morning Bun was a winning combo. After hearing and seeing rave review though, I had to try one of the breakfast sandwiches. As a vegetarian, I felt right at home with the menu, which is filled with ample choices. I went with the Vegan Breakfast Banh, which lived up to the hype! The fresh, pillowy with just the right level of chew ciabatta is the perfect vehicle for smashed scallion chickpeas, zippy pickled veg, pops of jalapeño spice and an addicting, slow burn spicy cito sauce. The sandwich was the perfect size for a satisfying but not overly full bite. Look forward to my next visit Catalog team!

Walt was pretty lengthy for a latte with sandwich to go. I would visit again just for beverage and not food.

It was so good that my dad and I repeatedly visited every morning while in Baltimore. The waitress was soo friendly and kind. The first day we just did take out to get a sandwich and coffee. She filled up my dad's coffee mug for $1 which was super nice. She also explained the menu and was very accommodating. The food was great as well. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a bacon and onion sandwich. Both were made to perfection and fast. They made sure our order was brought to us in a swift manor. The coffee was delicious as well. Really strong but it was great to start the morning. The ambiance was nice. They had great signage outside for take out and for the sit in dining experience. Once you walk in you will feel at home and comfy. They also offer outside seating in front of the diner which is nice on a nice day. We sat outside on our last day and the owner came and set up the umbrella and ensured we did not anything else. It was a great experience. If you are in downtown Baltimore I suggest you check it out! A little late to the party, but we finally made it to Miss Shirley's this past Monday after hearing…read moregood things about it for years. We started things off with the appetizers, and the Hot Honey Fried Chicken Deviled Eggs were absolutely phenomenal. Easily one of the best things we ordered. They were so good that I honestly could've eaten an entire order by myself and been perfectly happy. We also tried the house-made cornbread. Their version was a little different from what I'm used to and almost gave me French toast stick vibes. The consistency was good and it definitely wasn't bad, just a different take on cornbread than I expected. Between the two appetizers, though, I'm choosing those deviled eggs every single time. For my meal, I ordered three scrambled eggs with cheese, Cranberry Maple Turkey Sausage, shredded hash browns, an everything biscuit with cream cheese, and pancakes. Everything was good, but those pancakes were easily the star of the meal. Honestly, some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Perfect consistency, fluffy in the middle with slightly crispy edges, and flavorful enough that you really didn't need much syrup. The eggs were solid -- simple scrambled eggs with cheese done right. The Cranberry Maple Turkey Sausage was really, really good as well. I'm personally not a huge fan of shredded hash browns because I prefer home fries or diced breakfast potatoes, but that's more of a texture preference than anything being wrong with them. I'm also not much of a bagel person, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the everything biscuit, but surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. My lady ordered the brisket skillet, which had brisket, scrambled eggs, shredded potatoes, peppers, and everything mixed together. Very flavorful, and the portion was definitely generous. For drinks, she had the Pineapple Coconut Colada, which was good and definitely had a heavy pour that day. I had Shirley's Crush. I'm already a big fan of orange crushes, and theirs was really good -- flavorful, refreshing, and they definitely weren't stingy with the alcohol. Our waitress, Melissa, was amazing. Very attentive, helpful, friendly, and she took great care of us throughout the entire meal. Great service can really add to an experience, and she definitely did that for us. I honestly don't have any real complaints about Miss Shirley's. The food was good, the service was excellent, portions were generous, and there were so many other things on the menu that caught my attention. I already know I'll be going back so I can start scratching some more items off the list. The only downside worth mentioning is parking, but that's pretty normal for a city location. There's a parking garage directly across the street, which is extremely convenient, but we paid around $24 for maybe an hour and a half to two hours. A little pricey for that amount of time, but I guess you're paying for the convenience of being literally across the street. Overall, my first experience was a solid 5 out of 5. I can only speak for my visit, but the food, drinks, service, and overall experience were all on point. Definitely recommend, and I'll definitely be back.
