Disappointed in Follow-Up and Customer Care I've been to this studio before and have spent a good amount here, so I expected better care. Yesterday, I went in to have my post shortened and was charged $35 just to switch the bar, which felt steep for a quick adjustment. I also purchased new jewelry for $120, bringing my total to $166 for that visit. Today, I called back because the post was still visibly poking out of my conch and felt uncomfortable. I asked if it could be shortened further, and was told I'd be charged again, due to a "shop fee and materials." That felt unreasonable, especially since it was clearly a follow-up to the service I had just paid for. I later spoke with Sarah, the piercer, who told me she had already given me the shortest post available (4.7mm). But then she said I'd need to come back in so she could inspect it to decide if it needed to be shortened further. That left me confused -- if 4.7mm is the shortest she has, what exactly would be the point of an inspection? At the end of the day, I left feeling disappointed and like I was being nickel-and-dimed. Would not recommend for piercings. It's too expensive for the inconsistent quality of customer service. Paid $75 for a single piece of PLAIN, SILVER septum jewelry, so small that it hides itself! $75+ for jewelry alone.. I already have it pierced. The ring quickly and easily lost a ball, subsequently coming out of my nose. I called to ask if I could be helped because the jewelry was so expensive, but I didn't want to pay another $80. I was told yes, but the piercer was leaving before I would make it. On a different day where I had more time, I called, explained my issue again, and was placed on hold. Whoever the phone was passed to had the worst attitude. I didn't even get around to what I was calling for because he was so rude that I no longer want their help, even for free. read more

3.0 Stars Location Overview: You can find this studio in Addison area of Dallas/Ft Worth on Belt Line Rd and Beltway Dr in the shopping Plaza next to Cantina Laredo and 360 Smoke Shop. The walk-in of this studio is nice, it's a showcase of jewelry, and on the other side is the area for tattoos. Customer Service: The overall customer service here was ok, no issues. Car did my tattoo and she did a great job. As someone who has about 40% of my body tattooed I should know better...... But when you are going through mental stuff you don't think twice sometimes. The major issue I had with Car was that she said she charged $150 per hour and couldn't give me definite answer on how long she thought it would take. She spent 2 1/2 hours trying to get a stencil printed and had to run to their private studio to get it done and so on and so fourth my tattoo was supposed to start at 6pm. She didn't start it until almost 9pm. After being there for so long and seeing she couldn't get things taken care of until after several hours I would have thought she would have taken care of those hours and not charging me. But she did. I beat myself up for not getting a time frame, price and discussing her taken almost three hours of not working on me but u let her have her price and paid. This situation ruined the entire experience. The tattoo made up for the lack of Car's customer service. Quality/Quantity: The quality of the tattoo is great, two months later it has healed amazingly. No issues with the tattoo. I would say the quality of customer service was not up to par. Even after adjusting because of back issues or requesting to be placed differently, there was no real concern and my back was hurting more from history of pain than the actual tattoo I was getting. The quantity of artists, piercers, jewelry, style types is more than enough. Side Note: Don't be like me, ask for a price before hand. read more

BLUF: Long wait time, Expensive, clueless receptionist. A coworker and I came by after work to get our noses pierced and we waited over an hour, when the receptionist told us he would be with us shortly. If his shift didn't start until an hour later, she could have just said that rather than keeping us waiting. On top of that she didn't know anything about the cost of the jewelry that's on display. When we finally sat with the piercer, he was nice/polite/friendly. My only other con was the cost of the piercing and jewelry. Was definitely more than each of us were expecting to pay. I'd likely do longer research before going back there or recommending it to anyone. read more

I have now gotten 3 tattoos from artists Patrick Bradley and Mark Merchant. Both of them did absolutely brilliant work. All 3 are easily my favorite tattoos. Patrick is very very good at communicating with me, especially when I'm not doing great at it. He is very committed to seeing your vision come to life and has a very humble mindset that I struggle to find in many tattoo artists today, it makes telling him what I do and don't like about parts of my tattoo very easy despite my strong anxiety. Mark works incredibly quickly, and I have complete confidence in him and his skills. I felt his mastery of the craft every second I was there and will be going back for many more. I feel safe talking to and working with every artist I've met here. Customer service is peak and the quality is even better. Could not recommend a tattoo shop for American traditional tattoos as well, but really just any style. 11/10 read more

Brittany Jo is, in short, fucking amazing. I have two piercings that would not heal, no matter how clean I kept them or how gentle I was. I lost a ball on my tragus and didn't realize until we were at lunch in the area. I called the shop to see if they could swap my jewelry and (hopefully) give me tips on how to get my two others to heal. As it turns out, the two that wouldn't heal were pierced wrong. Like, very wrong. Instead of being condescending or insulting, Brittany showed me how my ears were pierced and then what a proper placement looked like. We ended up pulling both improper piercings and she walked me through how to heal the scarring (so I'm not permanently disfigured lmfao). At no point did she make me feel stupid for having shit piercings, and made it very clear I could keep them in if I absolutely wanted to (not a chance in hell). She then fitted my tragus with a gorgeous feather piece from BVLA, which is so snug but comfortable. We just recently moved to the DFW area, and despite the shop being an hour drive, I can't imagine trusting anyone else to do my piercings. She took her time to explain everything and was so genuinely kind during my visit. I can't wait to be back. read more

My two star review is solely about Justin (I would've rather given this a one star however Sarah and the other young gentleman that worked there were great). I had two of my fingers tattooed by Matt, who wouldn't stop trying to talk me out if it even though he has most of his fingers tattooed. He promised to give me a free touch up on my tattoos, but when I messaged him asking when I could come in for my touch up he read the message and never responded. He was also extremely cold and unfriendly and I felt uneasy the entire time I was getting my tattoos done. That being said, he did great work and my tattoos look good other than the fading. We sent a picture and was told Drew Giles would be the best artist for that work. After sending Drew the picture and several conversations- we went there for the 4 hr appt only to see that the version Drew had was nothing like what we sent. It was clip art. Something that was drawn out within minutes. Came in for a consultation and pretty sure I heard the piercer and some others sneak into the employee only section of the store and snort some cocaine. The piercer left the room smiling with wide eyes playing with her nose and there was someone still in the room snorting loudly. When she gave me the consultation, she was visibly shaky and on edge. I drove 35 minutes to get my belly button pierced and what I came across was rude and did not make any sense. She told me that the skin on my stomach was too "dense" for a piercing and wouldn't heal well. I have never heard of that in my life and I have many friends that have belly button piercings. I am very active and no where close to being over weight. This experience made me feel unwelcome and judged. I lost the ball to my belly button ring and it slipped out and got lost. I'm trying to drive somewhere right now to purchase a new titanium hoop belly button ring to replace it. I call this Cat Tattoo and ask if they have them, the girl who answered said they do have the exact ring I'm looking for (awesome!) I'm so happy, I ask what the price will be and she tells me they can only discuss the price of the belly button ring in person..... uh, okay?? I explain that I'm not getting a piercing, I only need the ring. Still, absolutely will not give me the price over the phone. This place is weird. Their receptionist is not rude, but the way she talks seems like she enjoys being difficult. It's cool, I'll give my money and tip to a shop that is helpful and enjoys taking care of their clients. Also, btw. I got my belly button pierced here to begin with by Lia Reptar. I have no complaints on her, she's actually very sweet. But the original belly button barbell ring that I got from her was stripped and is the whole reason that I lost it to begin with. This shop was very nice, and very clean. The reason for my 3 stars is because I called prior to coming and was told the nose piercing was $40. When I arrived at the shop they told me that was not including the jewelry which started at $70. So in all I'd be paying $100+ for a nose piercing, that's outrageous. He has a very horrific pompous attitude, he overcharged me and didn't even do what he agreed to doing and when I came back to the studio to have him look into finishing the tattoo. He doesn't even have the design anymore to have another artist finish it. He said "he isn't even interested in finishing the tattoo". Been wanting to get another tattoo for the longest. It had been several years since my last one. I've known about Cat Tattoo for years and years now, and heard good stories about them from friends who have gone there. I walked in spur of the moment and asked if there was time to do a quick simple tattoo on my foot. The receptionist had Matt Folse come and talk to me. We talked about size and how I wanted the lettering in cursive but that I didn't have any drawings with me. He unfortunately didn't have time to do it that day since they were pretty busy, but said I could come back the next day. So I went ahead and paid the deposit and meanwhile he said he would come up with ideas for me. Fair enough. I came back the next night and Matt had drawn up the phrase I had wanted perfectly. He was really easy to talk to the whole time. The whole process took about 15 minutes. And he went over aftercare in detail too. I highly recommend him, and to also look up his work on Instagram to get an idea of what he's done in the past. If I decide on another, I will definitely request him again! read more

The first of all, I want to say that this tattoo shop is incredibly clean, well organized. And all the staff are very knowledgeable. I have gone here multiple times for different piercings, Lea the piercer that I have been working with is always courteous and professional. Making sure to inform me of not only the Aftercare but giving me the disclaimers as well. Unlike some other shops I have visited, she doesn't just care about the money. She took the time to explain everything to me and make sure that I was making an informed choice. She's always there when I need to call her if I have a question with my piercing, how it's healing, what do I need to avoid and what can I do to make it easier. The staff in general are really awesome, the ones that have stuck out the most are obviously Lea, Brittany, Kirsten, and Sarah. Just got my second wholes in my ear lobes done today and it was the most amazing experience. The piercer Brittany was very knowledgeable and helpful. She took the time to fine the perfect place on the lobes and even gave me two options for which placement I liked better. She was super nice and answered any question I had and even told me in pretty good detail on aftercare. 100% would return when I want another piercing and would recommend to a friend UPDATE: it's been about 3 months and my ears are infected.
