Our experience was terrible here - pick literally any other tattoo salon!!! I went here on my birthday and it was the worst part of my day. Some examples of why I didn't like it: - my friend asked for the OUTLINE of a heart and the guy filled it in all the way. Yeah, permanently. When we pointed out that it wasn't what she asked for, he tried to blame ME by saying I wasn't "clear" when I had just gotten an outline of a heart done 2 minutes before.... super unprofessional. I think he should not have charged us for that. - I told the guy that I did not like talking about blood and asked him to stop talking about blood while he was piercing my ear. He said "okay yeah a lot of people don't want to talk about that when they get piercings!" He then told me to look at the blood on the Q-tip after he pierced my ear because he wanted me to see that I was iron deficient. Then he began mansplaining what iron is to me. 1) I'm absolutely not iron-deficient and my bloodwork can prove that lol. 2) I'm a health major and I didn't need a stranger that works in a tattoo shop to mansplain what iron is to me. 3) my stomach got super queasy because he did the one thing I asked him not to do which was to NOT TALK ABOUT BLOOD WHILE IM GETTING PIERCED! ridiculous. - after piercing my ear, he messed with it for about 2 minutes afterward and was really uncomfortable. He forgot to open some instruments and cleaning supplies so he was trying to do it with one hand while holding the needle in my ear still. - when my friend and my mom and I were going to grab a drink at Sonic while we waited, one guy said "you're gonna have to get me a burger too" to my mom. He didn't even ask?? he just demanded that she get him one?? It was super unprofessional. - all of the employees kept going in the back and smoking. whatever that's fine but they made us wait so long before they did anything because they had to keep smoking. It was really inconsiderate. There are a few other things but basically they're inconsiderate of your time, sloppy, unprepared, and unprofessional. My mom and friend and I were disappointed when we left. I wish I had chosen a different salon for my birthday! read more

I was in the Dallas area for a quick vacation. I had been wanting a new tattoo for the longest time, so decided that was the perfect time. Legacy Arts Tattoo was AMAZING! I decided on this location because of the reviews and the high ratings everywhere I looked. When I first walked in, everyone was extremely helpful and really listened to what my ideas were. My tattoo artist was Michael Spades, and he was the perfect person for my tattoo. We chatted the whole time, and he really got my ideas down on paper, and ultimately my shoulder. I have gotten several tattoos before, and this most recent one is by far my favorite! The color is amazing, and it turned out perfectly. I was completely healed within a week, and my tattoo looks as good as it did when it was getting done. I will definitely be going back to this tattoo shop every time I'm in the Dallas area from now on! read more

Came in at 3:30. There's was a wait and I was in line okay fine. They say come back at 5:15 so I do. Show up at 5:15 and then they say come back at 6:15 so I do. Now it is 6:20 and they are saying there is still 8 people in front of me. Everyone that turned their paperwork in with me when I was there originally is gone and got their work but they keep pushing me back. 3 hours I've waited for a 20-30 minute tattoo. I have sleeves of ink and never experienced this. Very unprofessional. Will not recommend to anyone. Alberto at the front couldn't care less unless you are a female. read more

After extensive tattoo artist and shop research, I chose to go to Legacy Arts Tattoo Studio #2 off Midway in Dallas. It was quite a drive from my home, but I really wanted a good custom tattoo. My husband and I were both wanting new ink. He wanted a realistic piece, but mine was more abstract. We explored portfolios from the artists from the shop, (all are amazing in their own right) and chose Chris Benavides. Chris' portfolio was diverse enough to accommodate both of our art requests. His artwork shows a wide range of talent and abilities. We scheduled an appointment to meet and begin work with Chris. When we arrived to the shop, we were greeted by a Professional staff. I was thrilled to see how clean and sanitary the environment was. One thing that stood out to me about this shop was all the artist artwork on the walls. Each artist had personal artwork hanging in their work space. It was like walking into an art gallery. In my opinion, that is a dedication to the arts, not just a method. We had talked with Chris many times prior to meeting at the shop. He was really good about responding to our questions. Chris was super friendly and knowledgeable, which put us at ease. Aside from his well refined technique, I was extremely impressed by his attention to aesthetic details. For example, if he doesn't think placement is exactly right, he will completely re-work the placement. Not quite right is not good enough to him, and I really appreciated that he was not trying to rush through everything. Our experience was so good, we scheduled a 2nd round of new ink. The following week, Chris created a badass watch for my husband, and worked on my a new abstract piece for me. I have had tattoos for years, but these that Chris did have gotten the most attention. In the span of 2 hours, I was asked repeatedly where I got my tattoo(s). I was really proud to be able to recommend Chris and the Legacy Arts Tattoo Studio #2 to anyone who asked. These guys are super funny and intelligent which makes talking through the uncomfortableness of a tattoo bearable. The environment is clean and honestly, crafty. The walls are covered in art and the people employed there are all friendly with each other. For this being my first tattoo place to ever go to I was thoroughly pleased. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because they do allow vaping inside (which I don't mind, but some might.) also they do not allow children inside, which I am fine with but parents need to be aware of that. read more

Terry was very professional and enthusiastic about working with me to ensure it was exactly what I wanted, including small details like the thickness of some lines, and the different styles of shading on each area. Terry drew up several sketches and designs, sending pictures to me (via text) to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. As I said in my review for sister location, Skin Art Gallery, I was referred to Legacy Arts Tattoo Studio #2 when I visited Skin Art for some new nostril jewelry. I was told at Skin Art that in spite of the good selection of jewelry, their piercer was away on vacation and that the jewelry belonged to her and couldn't be sold without her being there. Well imagine my displeasure when I made a stop at their sister location, Legacy Arts Tattoo Studio #2 and it was EXACTLY the same situation. The piercer at LATS#2 presides over the jewelry and she had stepped out not feeling well. It was not only bad enough that this store couldn't sell jewelry without the piercer being present but that the person up front who answered my question acted as if he didn't care and didn't refer me anywhere else. I will just stick with Shaman Body Mods in Austin who are not only professional piercers but really care about customer service. read more
