I came here to get my Medusa switched out to a longer bar because my original piercer at a different shop pierced it with such a small bar there was no room for swelling and it was sinking into my lip. While there was a language barrier, the piercer still accommodated me and we figured it out. He let me know I can switch it out to the original jewelry once the piercing has healed more. Me and my boyfriend went in wanting to get matching and a separate tattoo. We went on a Sunday at around 4 and he (Paul) got to us 5min before closing. Only to tell us that he would design a tattoo and give it to us to see approve. We have a deposit, and we were supposed to get a design within three days. After a whole week without him contacting us we texted him and he took two days to give us a copy and pasted picture from the Internet. After telling him that that is not what we had originally agreed on he told us that he would give us a new picture. After another week without him telling us anything we texted him again and he took two more days to answer and told us that he was busy with other clients. It has been about 2 months now and he never gave us a drawing and he refused to give us the deposit back. Moral of the story: stay away Paul will rob you. read more

I've been wanting to add 2 ear piercings for a while now (my daughters birthstone and mine). Due to Covid I planned on waiting longer- I felt that there was no reason to risk my safety as well as that of others yet. However, a friend of mine was going and I decided to join her. I am so happy that I did!!! First off, this shop could not have been any cleaner!! We were asked not to touch or set our purses on the glass counter. Of course we used it to fill out forms but what a great idea to cut down on unnecessarily spreading surface germs. There were only two employees there at the time we went and briefly one other customer. Our temperatures were taken. We were only allowed one at a time in the piercing room and the room was so thoroughly cleaned just between the two of us. Both employees had on masks. During piercings a face shield and gloves were worn. While marking my ears, I asked for the hand mirror. She took off a glove to grab the mirror so as not to contaminate it; putting my ear at risk. I only mention all of the above in the event somebody reading this wants to go but feels safer waiting- Go! Not only will you be safe, but you will be helping a small business and mainly the people who work there to survive! Heather was the piercer- I've added a picture of her card. I'm serious, if you are wanting a piercing, Heather is the one to see!! She was beyond INCREDIBLE! She took the time to ensure everything was done perfectly- from the marking to telling me to take a deep breath as she inserted the needle. I am a wuss when it comes to needles and had a death grip on the chair. I was surprised by how little pain there was. She was very thorough about explaining aftercare and I was given an instruction sheet. Not only is Heather a talented true professional, but she is kind and a genuinely good person!! Lucas is a rookie, 3 years, but the real problem is his mentor. There was a couple blowouts in my tat because I am old (60) and have thin skin now. I have 12 other tattoos starting in 1981. When I asked about it they acted as if they had no idea what it was. I thought it was an infection. Did some research and I went back and asked the owner to educate his guys on old and thin skin to prevent this and he pretty much blew me off. Biggest mistake - going to anyone that takes walk ins. I must say that this shop is one of maybe three things I will miss about Dallas. JP Morin is a tattoo ninja! He did a 3/4 sleeve on me that people ask questions about everywhere I go. Living in Austin you see a lot of ink, and at least 5 times per day I am stopped on the street by a stranger wondering where I got this amazing work done. Go JP! Did I mention that after seeing his portfolio I let him design the whole thing? I basically told him what types of things I wanted in it and what colors. After that I let him run wild with it, and I am so glad I did!!! It is feminine, beautiful, and an amazing work of art!!! Not only is he talented, but he has a great sense of humor that somehow manages to make you forget he has a needle in your armpit! Check out his stuffed pig thingy...scary! I also got my hips tattooed by Dave Woodard, who sadly is no longer at this studio. He is now at Saints and Sinners. He did 2 phoenixes and I adore them. I was worried about this being such a sensitive area, but he was very gentle and efficient. The level of detail is exceptional, even 1 year later. Hopefully next time I am in Dallas I can get tattooed by Lou Morris. He is one of the best portrait artists I have ever met. He puts Kat Von D to shame in my honest opinion. I was driving home one day and passed Skin Art Gallery. At the spur of the moment, I decided I wanted a tattoo, and stopped in. This place is very clean and sanitary. I only had $50.00 on me, but luckily the minimum is $50.00 and one of the artists led me to a page of tattoos I could get. I decided on a clover which is on my left ankle. He did a great job. Months later, I went here for my nipple piercings. Very professional, great work. Some time later, I had an infected piercing ( not done here, I'm allergic to the metal) that I couldn't get out due to the pain and soreness. I asked if I could pay someone to remove it for me. One of the guys removed it and refused to take my money. Everyone here is fun and professional and I would recommend to anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing ( or removal). read more
