Uneven lines on the tattoo

I paid 150 dollars for a tattoo that's about an inch big, it went well until a couple weeks after I had gotten the tattoo I noticed the lines weren't even in thickness. I called to get a touch up which they offered free but even after the touch up i am very disappointed in the tattoo and cost of it. I've gotten other tattoos now that have cost way less and are way better quality. My artist was Miles. I am very upset with the result as the picture is a year later. The lines are still very uneven and it's just a crappy looking tattoo.

Whole process was a dream. From the initial walk-in, to artist consultation, I felt confident when I met and set my appointment with Xavier last week. I emailed him samples, and he was very responsive and great about taking my ideas and transforming them into exactly what I wanted. On the day of my appt, I walked in and was wavering on tattoo location, and X did not give me any grief but instead kindly listened, spoke openly to me about pros and cons of different tattoo placements, and was very patient while I settled on the final design and location. He has a crazy gift for tattooing effectively but almost painlessly. Swear I could have fallen asleep in the chair; I was that comfortable. He was easy to talk to and in general is a very professional, friendly and easygoing guy. I'm very pleased with the work. Exactly what I wanted, 10/10. Other pros: shop is very clean, well decorated, and overall vibe was that they have fun but take their art and sanitation seriously, which is very much appreciated. I will be back to this shop for sure.

I recently lost my dog and wanted to tribute piece to him. I looked around the metroplex and found Rebel Muse. I walked in to chat with them about what I was thinking and they couldn't have been a bigger help. I talked with Xavier for a while and booked the appointment. In between, he and I text back and forth bouncing more ideas around and came up with a great memorial piece. The day came for the work to be completed and Xavier totally killed it. His attention to detail and care of his work is top notch. We chatted a majority of the time and was nice getting to know him. I'll definitely be back for next tattoo. Rebel Muse and crew was a pleasure to work with and Highly recommend them for any of your tattooing needs.

What a great experience! Jessie Heart did my tattoo and I'm very happy with it. She listened to what I wanted and was patient with me on how I wanted it to look. The studio itself is very clean and modern looking! The artist are all very friendly! Highly recommend!

Art by Robert Hornback. Clean and friendly environment. 10/10 would recommend! All of the artist in the shop at the time, took the time to say hello even though I wasn't working with them. Great customer service. Can't wait for my next appointment.

I have wanted my tattoo for YEARS, my first tattoo at that. I spent countless searches looking for a place that was clean and had consistent artists. I finally stumbled upon Rebel Muse Tattoo driving by the Dallas location into work one day. I decided to stop in after reaching out via Instagram. Someone reached out promptly and said to come in for a consultation. Went in and met Joseph Arlin, he was warm and welcoming. We went over my ideas and I showed him a few images that I had liked artistically. I was open to him putting his own flare on it and he gave me his business card and told me to check his social media out and then we can book something I LOVED his work and his shading (not sure I'm using proper terms as I'm a tattoo virgin) Because of Covid I was never able to book my appointment. BUT shortly before tattoos parlors getting word they could reopen Joseph reached out to get something on the books just in case as he knew I was relocating out of the area. This touched me even more because he remembered this detail! I was his very first client back. Day of tattoo he had already had it drawn up and ready for my approval. He was super friendly knowing I was nervous for this being my first tattoo and then because I was worried it would hurt being on my foot. He put me at ease and began his magic. It hurt in spurts but no where near as bad as I thought it would or had been told it would. The tattoo took about 2 and a half hours if that. It's GORGEOUS!! He went over aftercare instructions and said to reach out if I had questions. Which I did....a lot. (Sorry Joesph!) He was a SAINT and so so patient with me as I was super nervous during my healing period. I was still REALLY nervous and kept sending pictures of it as it healed. He kept reassuring me that it was healing beautifully which now, I can agree and can say I was over dramatic. (Again, I'm sorry Joesph!) I am so thankful I had Joesph as my tattoo artist. He was sweet, calming and ever so patient! His talent is beyond amazing and I would recommend ANYONE go to him for their tattoo needs/wants!

I got my first tattoo here! The staff was so kind and informative to me. My artist, Joseph Arrellin, was so incredibly nice and patient, and he did such an amazing job on my tattoo. It has currently been almost four months since I got this piece and it has healed perfectly with the after products and advice they provided me. The shop is extremely clean and comforting, would recommend this place~

Joseph A completed my tattoo & honestly - every artist here is really talented! The staff is awesome and it's such a chill place. I recommend making an appointment if you want something more detailed. They do take walk ins but, it really depends on who is there. Follow them on Instagram & check out the work they do!

I went to Rebel Muse Tattoo on Saturday, November 23, 2019 for a scheduled consultation. I spoke with tattoo artist Robert Hornback. My goal was to get my tummy scar covered. Robert assured me he could do this and give me exactly what I wanted. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he took me for a consultation and to get a picture of my stomach. He informed me that that his cost was $250 an hour and the tattoo would take no more than 3-4 hours. I was told there would be an initial deposit of $200 that was due immediately and would be applied towards the final cost once the tattoo was complete. The earliest he could schedule me for the tattoo was on Tuesday, April 21,2020 at 10:30 AM. I paid the $200 deposit and scheduled my appointment for April 21, 2020. On April 1, 2020 I received an email from Robert informing me the shop was officially closed due to COVID 19 and I would have to reschedule my originally scheduled appointment to July or September. I rescheduled my appointed for Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10:30 AM. I arrived at the tattoo shop at 10:20 AM for my scheduled appointment on Saturday September 5, at 10:30 AM. I was greeted by Robert who had no sketch drawn out of the tattoo as we discussed at the time of my initial consultation. I once again shared with Robert what I wanted and showed him the area on my stomach that was to be covered. He proceeded to the backroom to draw the tattoo and reappeared at 1 PM. He showed me something completely different from what I initially asked for, but I hesitantly agreed to it along with my color choices. At 1:36 PM we began the tattoo session. 2 hours into the session a female coworker comes up to Robert and invites him to lunch with her. He agrees to attend lunch with his coworker and stops the appointment. After 1.5hr lunch he returns and apologizes for his tardiness and continues the tattoo session. After hours pass, I begin to panic because I realize it will take a lot more time to complete. At this point, it is now after 5 PM. I ask Robert if he will be able to complete my tattoo with the coloring. He advises me he will try and then proceeds to rush to finish. After an hour the manager approaches Robert and asks him how much longer it will be before he finishes. Robert proceeds to tattooing. After a short period and with no color and incomplete outlining, he informed me that "we're done for the day." At 7:30 PM I proceed to the checkout counter. Robert then stated, "the cost for today is $2,000." I was flabbergasted! I said "$2,000? You started after 1:30 PM because you did not have the sketch completed when I arrived. Then you and your female coworker took a 1-and-a-half-hour lunch break. To top it off the tattoo is not even complete and there is no color. You told me the tattoo would take approximately 3-4 hours, so I was expecting to pay no less than $750.00, including the $200 deposit." The manager was next to the register with Robert while I was expressing my frustration on the cost and lack of professionalism. I looked to him to step in and he was quiet with his head down the entire time. Robert said, "I am sorry but the cost for today is $2,000." I contemplated not paying but I felt intimidated being a female in the presence of two males, alone. I asked him how many hours he would need to complete the tattoo; he stated no more than 3 hours total. He stated the cost would be at $250.00 an hour. I could not even breathe when I was told the cost but felt bullied into paying the $2000 surprise bill. I went ahead and paid it knowing that I would dispute this with my credit card company. I went to my car in tears because I felt I had been taken advantage of and lied to. $2200 later and I still have an unfinished tattoo with no color, I will have to spend more money out of pocket to get the tattoo completed and colored. Here is a pic of what the tattoo looks like. This in no way, shape, form, or fashion represents me or what I find acceptable or the work portrayed on Robert's social media platform.

Several years ago I had Billyjack do an improvement/cover-up to a tattoo I had got from a shop in…read moreNew Orleans. Then last week I went in for a new one. Neither of the designs were complicated or intricate...just some 3-5 inch ones. If you've seen Billyjack's Instagram page you know the man can do some pretty fabulous, complicated pieces so my stuff wasn't exactly anything that was automatically going to get his artistic juices flowing. And that's what I love about Billyjack. Even on when you give him a fairly simple concept, he'll make sure he makes it more and special. The most important thing he does in my opinion though is that he acts like a partner or a consultant, not just an artist who's going to execute the design you bring him. My experience down in New Orleans with the other shop was one where it was kind of like "whatever you want, man". I didn't need that, I needed a strong guiding hand and that's what I got with Billyjack. I threw out some ideas and he pretty much said what would and wouldn't work and then expanded on what would. Oh, and he's a blast to talk with. How many tattoos have you had where you and the artist have covered: dogs, kids (OK, those first 2 are pretty easy), rent relief policies during COVID and Roth IRA's. And laughing the whole time.

When I walked into the tattoo parlor, it looked clean, professional, and well put together. Based…read moreon the appearance alone, I felt confident I would receive good service. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. The artist who worked on me seemed inexperienced, and the process didn't match what I was told. What should have taken around 30 minutes was discussed as taking several hours, which already felt off. In the end, I was charged $200 for a cover-up that I'm extremely unhappy with--especially since it's on my face. To make matters worse, the artist didn't follow through on what was promised. He said he would work on two tattoos but only did one, and even then, it wasn't what I asked for. I specifically wanted a design resembling stitches, but instead I was left with a large black feather on my head that I deeply regret. The environment also felt unprofessional. The staff came across as dismissive and made me feel judged for the tattoo ideas I wanted, which added to an already negative experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy with both the service and the final result. I would not recommend this shop. Are there any tattoo shops in the area willing to help fix a bad face tattoo once it heals? I'm worried it might scar, and I'm trying to figure out my options. If anyone has experience with cover-ups or thinks removal would be a better route, please let me know. I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations--this is something I'm stressing about and want to fix the right way. I'm not trying to bash the entire shop, because there seemed to be some talented artists there. However, I do want to warn others about my experience with one specific artist. The artist I worked with--whose name may be Ivan or Isaac--came across as confident, but in my opinion did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or experience I expected. For example, when I asked about certain techniques like blood shading, he didn't seem to understand what I was referring to. That raised concerns for me about his training and experience. Again, this does not reflect everyone at the shop, but based on my experience, I would personally not recommend working with that particular artist.

Not only did you give me what I wanted and more today, you also turned my day into not so great, to amazing. You are an incredible artist and a genuine and kind person and you will be my first recommendation to anyone that asks.... Don't ever change, you are going places. I have had plenty and several different tattoo experiences and yours has by far been the best. From the moment I walked in with the way your friend greeted me at the front desk, (shoot, from the moment I called the store) you two made me feel important and cared about. The fact that you have a personal sheet to fill out about personality to make each experience for each Individual unique and important is just something I haven't ever experienced before and something I won't ever forget. Never have I ever reached out to an artist to give them this much of an opinion about them or my experience but you truly made a stranger feel like family in a matter of a couple of hours and that's something that deserves to be pointed out. Thank you again for giving me such an incredible work of art that I get to wear the rest of my life and that you for being such an incredible person that made me feel seen and cared about. I can't wait to finish the rest of my sleeve with you
