Went in to get my friend a nose piercing, the receptionist was great when I called, & immediately took her info down & gave her an appointment. We went in a Steve saw us quickly. He was VERY nice, & VERY informative. He asked my friend multiple times if she liked the placement & he also asked her what type of jewelry she wanted in it long term, he took into consideration that she already had a nose piercing & how they looked, with each other. He was quick & all Instruments were sterilized & in packages. He gave very detailed after care instructions. If Steve does your piercing, I'll think you'll be good! **This review is based on Matt who does the piercing only** I stumbled upon Matt's incredible work on Instagram and instantly started Jones-ing for a new piercing. Getting in touch with him was super easy, he is extremely reliable and communicative. I was a little concerned having never been pierced by him before so I scheduled a consultation. He didn't pressure me at all to get pierced that day but after discussing what he thought would look best on my ear, I was totally ready! If I could pick 0 stars I would... I went in there inquiring about a tattoo. The simplest tat for that matter. Nothing too fancy just the outline of a country. The guy who "assisted" me was RUDE as hell. Not only that, he talked around the subject and never answered my question directly. He's literally one of those people that try to use bigs words to sounds smart but sounds kind of dumb. He said the way I wanted my tattoo wouldn't look right but he never gave me any suggestions as to how it would look "right". Finally he told me it could cost my anywhere from $180 to $200 for the tattoo I wanted.... I walked out of there as quick as I could because I felt so unsatisfied and mad. I get that I am not a tattoo artist and I'm most definitely not trying to do his job but like as a professional artist he wasn't offering any help either. Needless to say I went somewhere else. They were 1000x more helpful and 1000x much nicer. And charged me $80 for the same tat I wanted and did an INCREDIBLE JOB. The lady who did my Piercing was insincere, and fast. She gave me no after care or offered any. The piercing was fast and painless. I will go back again just because I've gotten a Piercing from this place before.I had a good experience then. EDIT: she gave me the wrong size earrings. The other piercer who had to PAINFULLY take out my earrings said they were irritated because the size of the earrings,they were hoops. My piercing was like cement! I got my two piercings on my helix. Daniel G. was the one who worked on my tattoo as well as my friend's. Very nice dude, walked us along every step he was doing from start to finish and made sure to answer any potential questions we had along the way. I love the work he did and have already gotten many compliments on the color and general artistic design of it, mostly on aspects of it that he drew up himself, after I gave him my ideas and he bounced them back at me. At first I was very excited about my tattoo. It is on the side of my right foot. It is supposed to honor my parents, so, obviously this tattoo is important and HAS to look amazing. While the tattooing process was much less painful than I have experienced, I was in for a treat when I got home...sarcasm. After an hour or so, my tattoo started to look REALLY funny. I looked online and found out I had a problem called "tattoo blowout." This occurs when the tattooist is too heavy handed, or if the tattooist tattooed at a sharp angle, both causing the ink to be distributed in a deeper layer of skin than it should be. This deeper layer soaks up the ink like a sponge, and leaks it out to other areas, creating blurry, hazy areas around blown out lines. Tattoo blowout said to only happen to rookie or unskilled tattooers. I was so upset I couldn't sleep; It looked like the ink had leaked into my skin only hours after getting the tattoo! I called the store the next day and told Casey I thought my tattoo looked blown out. He asked me to come in, so I did; almost immediately. Casey told me that it wasn't blown out and that because I had put too much ointment on it, the skin just soaked up extra ink. I have another tattoo (that looks amazing) on my left foot, which I put the same amount of ointment on when I first got it, and it has absolutely no blowout. Casey said that if I used less ointment, the thicker lines would be perfectly sharp and thin when it was healed. The other tattooists agreed with him. At the time, I really wanted to believe Casey, but now I know better... Now, over a month has passed, and while my tattoo is healed, the arrows in the crest are almost illegible, and the left outline of my tattoo is not only blown out, but is significantly thicker than the right side's outline. I'm having to go to another tattoo shop today to get it fixed! **Edit: I went to see if my bad tattoo was ready to be fixed, and it still hasn't healed all the way. I have to wait another month! The guys at the new shop (which has a wonderful reputation) I chose were shocked by how badly the tattoo was blown out. They commented on how uneven it looked and that it has bad coloring. If I want to get the outline sharper, and make my tattoo look better in general, I now have to get it shaded and it will be much more bold looking. Basically, I will have to get all of the black outline to be as thick as the blown out area. That is not what I wanted when I had Casey tattoo me! I wouldn't recommend Casey as an artist, not only is my tattoo blown out, but he and his co-workers lied to me about it out to my face, and in front of other unsuspecting customers! read more

I know that young blonde, giggly girls probably have nothing in common with them, but they don't need to discriminate. Not that I have anything against people with tats but it just wasn't my thing...now granted I didn't a tattoo but I think if I ever do I'd feel a LOT more comfortable now, thanks to the awesome guys at Hold Fast!!!! I went with some friends who wanted to get tats and after looking around got to thinking about how much I really really wanted my nose pierced. All I wanted was just a little cute pink stud. Jeremiah Fuentez did the piercing and he was AMAZING! I know getting a small nose stud isn't a big deal to a lot of people but I was very nervous. Jeremiah was awesome and really great and made me feel so comfortable! It hurt for like a few seconds but really it was a lot less pain than getting my ears pierced!!! My friends got their tats from Casey and another gentleman that I didn't get his name and they all looked freaking awesome!!! Everybody in the shop was super great and never once looked down on us and believe me we were a bunch of annoying giggly girls that night!!!! lol So thank you Jeremiah and Hold Fast...I have a great forever memento of a wonderful girls weekend in Dallas!! Matt is awesome!! Came to here to get my septum pierced and my friend got her nose pierced. Matt was out piercer and he was very informative about the healing and cleaning process and made sure we agreed with the placement of the piercings. He also answered all of the FAQs for each of us so we left very happy and he even offered to help us change the piercing jewelry once they were healed. Absolutely great service!! While I haven't had any work done here, I did pop in recently to get a new nose-stud and wanted their piercer to put it on for me. Sometimes people who work at tattoo/piercing shops have an attitude and seem to look down on people like me who come in sans-ink with little more than a tiny nose ring... But the staff here is so friendly and nice. The gal (I hate that I can't remember her name) was super, super sweet and chatty. Ok, so the piercer knows his stuff. That's why there are three stars here. He's a great piercer, was probably the only piercer who didn't make my nose bleed when I was getting it pierced. The shop seemed pretty sanitary from what I remember when I got my nose pierced back around March of this year. Kudos to that. That being said, there is something wonderful about having a great attitude even in the midst of those who have a different way of doing things. Some clientele, like me, will NOT want to return after being spoken to in a way that is obvious you're trying to be made a fool out of. I went to get a nose hoop because I was finally in town and wanted one that would fit my nose better. I've had my stud in since March (it is now October), only taking it out and swapping it for a hoop maybe twice a month. I have always been prone to scars and *not just from piercings* and since I've been that way pretty much since birth *I know how to get them to heal.* I do it every time. I figured I would get some words about the little keloid forming around my piercing (which was healing and I wasn't planning on wearing the nose hoop with a keloid anyway)...But I did not expect the guy to actually try to make me look like an idiot. Something tells me I'm not the only one who has experienced this either. Word of advice that sometimes it's best to share the information and then let it go. I want my piercer to not only be knowledgable about his trade, but also respectful. I won't be returning here, ever. That being said, it's been maybe a week? Since my last visit, and that keloid is already healed and gone. From me continuing the way of healing it that I always do. read more

When I moved here from Houston last year I did a ton of research & social media stalking to find my new local go to piercer. I fell in love with Ursula's work on Instagram and sent her a message. She responded quickly & told me to stop by whenever I wanted. Once I met her in person I knew I will never go to anyone else. She is so fun & knowledgeable. She makes everything a breeze. She has done my septum, daith & 2 tragus piercings within the past year. When one was irritated she had me change soap & gave me a no pull piercing disk & a little salt to soak my piercing in & it healed perfectly. She gives the best service all around. I recently got my nose pierced here as well as a small tattoo 12 years ago. For the artistry, I give 5 stars. Everything went beautifully and I was well informed and have great body art to show for their skill. That is obviously most important. I will say, if you are emotionally sensitive, get some thicker skin before coming here. The guy who pierced my nose was very sarcastic and just generally a smart ass. I have a good sense of humor and can take it. He didn't offend me, I enjoy sarcasm, but I do understand where the bad reviews for attitude are coming from. got my septum pierced here and it was a great experience. this was my second time getting it pierced since the first place i went to did it poorly. anyways, he did such a good job and explained everything including after care and provided with some sea salt to clean it. definitely recommend. and septum was only like $35 i think which is a great deal! side note: they use like a small horse shoe jewelry that is barely visible it's great to flip-up and hide it but it you can only really see the ball screws.
