God awful customer service. Didn't even get in the door (see the photos). We were going to travel to Dallas to meet up with family and get our first tattoos together. We have been in contact for a few weeks now and they told us to come in as walk-ins. Cool! We had some reasonable questions (for our first time), and whomever we were communicating with (again, see photos) thought we were being difficult, rather, that our "vibe sucks." I wish the best for the artists of this shop (their art is super cool), but it appears to me that they might not be getting as much patronage as they could be, because of the sensitivity sitting behind the front counter answering questions. Update: we were just told that we would not getting our deposit back because of profanity. We took this to the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. The business owner responded to the complaint in a dishonest manner, making untruthful and dishonest claims.

I went to this place 4 months ago to get my septum pierced and a tattoo. The person who did my tattoo was amazing and I had a great experience, I had Ceno he was amazing. The piercer on the other hand pierced way too low and crooked. He pierced through my cartilage and there was a lot of bleeding after the piercing. He made a comment saying that maybe I'm just bad with pain bc it was bleeding and my eyes were watering. He made a face of concern after he was finished so I could tell he knew he messed up. I don't remember his name but he has blue eyes and a couple of nose piercings. His comments didn't make me feel comfortable. I ended up having to get it re pierced at a different shop. I don't recommend going here if you want to get it done right the first time. Everyone was really nice but I'm disappointed I had to pay to get it done again.

A lot can happen in a year (from adding a few modifications to completely adapting to a whole new way of life because of COVID-19). I feel compelled to write an update on this establishment for a lot of reasons. The first reason was because I meant to do this in the first place since I wrote my first review. Let me start off by saying that I am very satisfied with the services I received from this location. I met a few individuals who are very talented in the work that they do. Their professionalism really showed during every encounter I had with them. I was a frequent customer because of the rapport that was built over a period of time. If I am giving this place of business a "positive" review, it is because of the people who I received tattoos and piercings from! I wouldn't have the amazing tattoos and piercings that I have now. When I came to this shop a year ago, I didn't have a single tattoo on my body and the only piercings I had was the standard earlobe piercings that were done by a nonprofessional. Respectfully, the pictures I'm attaching are all the stuff I got while I came to CPT ONLY. I have since gotten more tattoos from the artists I met here. If you're a new customer reading this, please know that you can decide for yourself where you choose to take your business at. In fact, that applies to ANY place you go for services; whether it's hair, nails, or tattoos. You might find that you may like it here or decide to go somewhere else. :) Respectfully.

Went last night on a whim. Been wanting to get my nose pierced but was a chicken. Read some reviews on a few places. Came across this studio and Alex's name came up a few times. He was very cool, quick and efficient so glad I got it done! Thanks Alex

Ally was amazing! Me and my friend went as a walk in and she was friendly and talented! Will definitely be coming back and requesting Ally!

Second one and he never replied to finish the job fee was paid of $450 now I get a reply from the owner saying it was my fault for tapping out I stead of offering a solution THATS THE KIND OF SERVICE YOU WILL FIND HERE SO NOT GO THERE

My friend and I got piercings here and the placements on both were so off. The earrings that were given gave me an infection and 2 days later my ear had a red circle around it where the back of the earring was. I'm extremely disappointed in the quality of the service. Go elsewhere

I originally stumbled upon cedar springs tattoo to get a small tattoo, but I have ended up back here to get more tattoos and piercings! I highly recommend this place for getting tattoos/ piercings in oak lawn. Everyone is super friendly and the facility is clean. I recommend Eli for getting a fine line tattoo or shading work done! He does a great job and will touch up your tattoos if needed. Bring cash or they have an ATM and don't forget to tip your artist!

Here's a clearer picture of my tattoo. I really like all the nice color detail!

I got my first tattoo here last week and was very pleased with the experience. I actually came in just to look, but when I saw how nice and clean the place was, and how professional they were, I decided to go for it. I showed Josh a picture of the type of thing I wanted, and he drew a really nice tattoo for me. Getting it really didn't hurt that much, and I am really happy with the results! He really did a nice job with the color and shading . It seems to be healing really nicely as well. Two thumbs up!

I went in feeling a little anxious and nervous because I hadn't had a piercing in over 15 years. As soon as I walked in Sarah welcomed me and put me at ease ! Not only was it quick and painless , but it has healed beautifully! I'll be back soon. Thank you Sarah!

Several years ago I had Billyjack do an improvement/cover-up to a tattoo I had got from a shop in…read moreNew Orleans. Then last week I went in for a new one. Neither of the designs were complicated or intricate...just some 3-5 inch ones. If you've seen Billyjack's Instagram page you know the man can do some pretty fabulous, complicated pieces so my stuff wasn't exactly anything that was automatically going to get his artistic juices flowing. And that's what I love about Billyjack. Even on when you give him a fairly simple concept, he'll make sure he makes it more and special. The most important thing he does in my opinion though is that he acts like a partner or a consultant, not just an artist who's going to execute the design you bring him. My experience down in New Orleans with the other shop was one where it was kind of like "whatever you want, man". I didn't need that, I needed a strong guiding hand and that's what I got with Billyjack. I threw out some ideas and he pretty much said what would and wouldn't work and then expanded on what would. Oh, and he's a blast to talk with. How many tattoos have you had where you and the artist have covered: dogs, kids (OK, those first 2 are pretty easy), rent relief policies during COVID and Roth IRA's. And laughing the whole time.

When I walked into the tattoo parlor, it looked clean, professional, and well put together. Based…read moreon the appearance alone, I felt confident I would receive good service. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience at all. The artist who worked on me seemed inexperienced, and the process didn't match what I was told. What should have taken around 30 minutes was discussed as taking several hours, which already felt off. In the end, I was charged $200 for a cover-up that I'm extremely unhappy with--especially since it's on my face. To make matters worse, the artist didn't follow through on what was promised. He said he would work on two tattoos but only did one, and even then, it wasn't what I asked for. I specifically wanted a design resembling stitches, but instead I was left with a large black feather on my head that I deeply regret. The environment also felt unprofessional. The staff came across as dismissive and made me feel judged for the tattoo ideas I wanted, which added to an already negative experience. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy with both the service and the final result. I would not recommend this shop. Are there any tattoo shops in the area willing to help fix a bad face tattoo once it heals? I'm worried it might scar, and I'm trying to figure out my options. If anyone has experience with cover-ups or thinks removal would be a better route, please let me know. I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations--this is something I'm stressing about and want to fix the right way. I'm not trying to bash the entire shop, because there seemed to be some talented artists there. However, I do want to warn others about my experience with one specific artist. The artist I worked with--whose name may be Ivan or Isaac--came across as confident, but in my opinion did not demonstrate the level of knowledge or experience I expected. For example, when I asked about certain techniques like blood shading, he didn't seem to understand what I was referring to. That raised concerns for me about his training and experience. Again, this does not reflect everyone at the shop, but based on my experience, I would personally not recommend working with that particular artist.

Not only did you give me what I wanted and more today, you also turned my day into not so great, to amazing. You are an incredible artist and a genuine and kind person and you will be my first recommendation to anyone that asks.... Don't ever change, you are going places. I have had plenty and several different tattoo experiences and yours has by far been the best. From the moment I walked in with the way your friend greeted me at the front desk, (shoot, from the moment I called the store) you two made me feel important and cared about. The fact that you have a personal sheet to fill out about personality to make each experience for each Individual unique and important is just something I haven't ever experienced before and something I won't ever forget. Never have I ever reached out to an artist to give them this much of an opinion about them or my experience but you truly made a stranger feel like family in a matter of a couple of hours and that's something that deserves to be pointed out. Thank you again for giving me such an incredible work of art that I get to wear the rest of my life and that you for being such an incredible person that made me feel seen and cared about. I can't wait to finish the rest of my sleeve with you
