Lalobe Piercing in Dallas was fabulous and incredibly patient with my 8 year old. Seriously, Lalobe people could be crisis negotiators with their mastered calming skills. After endlessly begging for 2 years to get her ears pierced, *someone* may have had a full on freak out session moments before and during the session (we almost left with only 1 ear pierced .) But if you ask my 8 year old today (or even 1 minute after the piercing session was complete), the experience was easy peasy and she was totally cool the entire time. I very much recommend Lalobe. I wanted an environment that was not a tattoo shop or a Claire's (no offense to Claire's) to get may daughters ears pierced. My wife found La Lobe and based on the pictures it looks like a perfect place. Kind of like a boutique. The only negative that I have was the woman who greeted us wasn't rude but I felt like I was in grade school again with the crotchety old teacher who had stayed a few years too long. I wasn't sure if it was because she just didn't care for us because I didn't show up in a button down shirt, starched blue jeans, and a vest like the gentlemen before me. Outside of that the rest of the experience was extremely pleasant. The young man who pierced my daughters ears was very patient and kind hearted. He explained each step in the process before doing it. This really helped put my daughter at ease. He explained that he was cleaning her ears, then marking them, and even sprayed the numbing spray on her finger to show her what was next and then finally came the piercing. They use a needle and a clamp with a hole in the middle instead of a gun to pierce. The clamp gently held the ear lobe while her ear was pierced with the needle. The needle also has a small hole on the opposite end to slide the ear ring into after her ear was pierced. I feel like the method used to pierced her ears along with the numbing spray made all the difference in the world. My daughter had a friend who went to another place to get hers pierced and it was a traumatic experience. Very happy overall. read more

I went 3 weeks ago now and I want to say it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I hoped. We are a YouTube family who likes to Vlog special moments such as this one. Our little one was getting her ears pierced upon entry the older lady was a bit too blunt. We have a big family and she immediately said something she could of kept to herself. The person piercing my daughters ear seemed a bit in a rush or just annoyed as to earlier that day I received a call stating the normal piercer had a family emergency and couldn't come in. Furthermore, that did set me back in my schedule planning as it was Sunday and I like to get things earlier in the day. I looked past it and just still went in at the rescheduled time they said it had to be changed too. Nonetheless, we couldn't record or anything just take before and after pictures. Overall, the experience was just ok 6/10.. the location was easy to find the inside was clean . I was referred here by a colleague.. just didn't like those things I mentioned.. also, my daughters ears are fine they healed really nicely no bleeding or swelling so I'm happy. read more

They fixed my ear with a simple repiercing that took less than 5secs. Silvia was thinking I was pain intolerant since she kept telling me to get ready. My pain tolerance is legendary. I felt nothing when she pierced the thin membrane. See I originally had my ears pierced in the 70's. After I was grown, I found out I was very allergic to non-gold jewelry. Nevertheless I tried wearing it. Someone gave me a pair of pretty earrings. I tried to wear them but my ears immediately started to burn and sting. When I took the earrings out that same night, my ears were sore, bleeding and later developed scabs. After the last time testing my theory, I stopped wearing any earrings since gold was not that cheap then. For an event last year, I was going to wear earrings but could not get it in my left lope. I knew the hole also had an aborted hole inside the entryway too but after 10mins, I knew I needed help. Luckily, I was in a very helpful group online who mentioned this place. Did you know La Lobe will not accept children without a parent present or a notorized note plus a call from a parent? Staff was very helpful and had great rapport dealing with small kids. I also appreciate they are very strict about Covid precautions with temperature checks, masks required, and social distancing enforced. The only negative star was because it wasn't clearly communicated you could not bring your own earrings but must purchase one of theirs for them to pierce you. My sisters bought new earrings for her daughters and could not use them and ended up having to buy pretty pricey earrings here for the piercing. The display in front has earring prices averaging about $100!! (The display in the back has more affordable options so request to look at those for lower price points.) New location = double the price for earrings. It's kind of crazy. We were at La lobe earlier this year and just paid $50 more for the same exact earrings. I wish they had given us a heads up as we'd have gone to a location where we could pick a different earring (that we'd actually want to keep). We already have these and they are unworn. Now we will have a second paid for $125 (these are $30-40 earrings max) that we probably won't wear either. So, it's $175 MIN for ear piercing. Getting your two month old daughter's ears pierced was supposed to be a once in a lifetime enjoyable experience for my wife and I but quickly was ruined by THE MOST RUDE STAFF I've ever encountered in Texas. We drove 45 minutes from our home to this shop and walked in 4 minutes late (1:04) due to very limited parking at La Lobe. The door was locked and a 'closed sign' saying they would be back at 1:30. We sat as a family at the front door until the elderly lady who ran the shop walked in at 1:25 rudely saying, "If your looking for an appointment we are already booked for the day." I explained we were her 1PM appointment to which she snapped at us and said, "You never showed up nor called to say you were going to be late so book another appointment." Seriously!? We showed up on time but had to drive around the block to find parking! We were 4 minutes late and you leave the shop NOR CHOSE TO CALL US with the number you have on file for us!? I SERIOUSLY do not like leaving bad reviews unless it's to prevent others from experiencing something horrible. This is one of those cases. This has truly been the most unprofessional establishment we've been to in DFW. read more

The only reason for the 2 stars was because the person piercing did a great job & was very informative! The reason for the low rating is 100% because of the front desk lady. We came in & we're not even greeted, just immediately asked, "is it for the baby?" What was suppose to be a memorable experience for our first time piercing our baby became not so friendly. Every time we asked a question, she snapped with a snarky attitude & made us feel dumb for asking anything. Customer service is the number one reason for the success or downfall of a business. This place has great technicians who know what they're doing so that's not the issue but customer service starts as your customer walks through the door. And piercing ears is a big deal, for any kid any age, you should be wanting to help make the experience memorable. It was definitely memorable, but partly not for good reason due to this lady. She gives off a very entitled, us needing service from her specifically type of aura. And in reality, she's not even the one servicing or piercing. I would highly recommend this business to rethink who they place on the front desk because according to the recent reviews, we're not the only ones who also feel this way. I brought my nine month old daughter to get her ears pierced here, and the service was absolutely horrible. The front desk staff did not even greet me at the door and said just a couple words to me before telling us where to go with my daughter. My mother-in-law was with me, and was the one holding my daughter, and the guy that pierced her ears was completely Impersonal, and did not even barely speak to us. He took so long on finding the spot for her earrings and she was screaming the whole time and he didn't even let her calm down or try to help her calm down. We made our appointment 2 weeks ago for my 4 year old to get her ears pierced. They took the time on the call to tell us about different options for a more pain free experience: we could call our pediatrician to request emla cream, or any over the counter item with lidocaine in it. After doing some research I found some numb 520 cream on amazon to purchase. We arrived today for our appointment all prepped and ready to go. The staff was phenomenal showing us where the new piercing earring were and our options. After we selected our earrings, we met Craig. Craig was amazing. You can tell he has little ones. He walked us and our 4 year old through everything he was going to do and everything he did, as he did it. He showed my daughter all the tools, let her wear gloves and have a cotton ball, and even made us a balloon chicken glove! We forgot our lovey in the car so he let us borrow one of his. When it was time for the piercing he showed her how he would hold her ear so she could see and feel, as well as, we opted for some cold spray. The piercing happened in seconds. My daughter had time to make a quick confused face and then looked at the mirror to see her first earring! He moved to the other side and repeated quickly, again a quick odd look and then absolute elation! She has been begging for earring for a little while now! She is so happy and so excited! I was so excited to take my baby girl to get her ears pierced. My husband and I flew to Dallas so our family could be part of this. We decided to go to "La Lobe". When we arrived on time, we were immediately rushed through registration by Livvy, who not only incredibly rude but extremely unprofessional. We were taken back since this is a place for mother's and babies to go for this once in a lifetime experience. Someone like that should not be working with children. Nancy, who actually did the piercing, was curt and demeaning to both us and our baby. I was truly ready to run out and had to actually ask her "can you please be nicer?" I was so glad when it was over. I would never recommend this place to ANYBODY and I am so sorry I didn't look at the reviews before. Please beware mamas!! Horrible place to go. I was so excited to take my daughters here for their first piercing experience. I made the appts a month in advance and planned a whole day out of it. I was willing to splurge a bit. Here's how it went down... For the record I was 5 minutes late to my first daughters appt. I will own that. I understand they have to keep a schedule but I also had 2 appts back to back. So really I had 30 minutes. As I dove up, I received a call from their calling service asking me "where I wAs?" And as I told him I was trying to locate their exact location the man on the phone proceeded to escalate his voice with each turn I made, wanting me to tell him Exactly which store I was facing proceeding to tell me to park as soon as I can! Pretty soon he was yelling directions at me... I found it comical and turned to my mother who was with me and said "I cannot believe this guy is yelling at me!" But I was still laughing in disbelief. As I walked in with my daughters I was rudely greeted by an older lady who basically red me the riot act for being late. She proceeded to tell me how busy they were, how I needed to keep the appt, and how they were not going to be able to see both of my daughters! I was like "" Let's see... my appt time was 10:45... I arrived at 10:50... and she was acting like I was an hour late. Needless to say she kept talking and talking as she also rudely told me I needed to fill out the consent form. I said "ok.. you can take one of them back and get started now..." she said "no. I need the form first." And kept talking... and chastising me.... at this point I was so irritated I told her that if she would just stop talking she could've already had one of my daughters in the chair piercing her ear! Well then she stopped talking. Needless to say they only saw one of my daughters (after driving 45 minutes to this place.) They were Very slow, over priced and honestly was not any better than a piercing/tattoo business...Which is where I ended up taking my second daughter afterwards. I highly recommend you stay away from this business because they are over priced, and not worth the time. They claim to be so great at what they do but honestly are no Better than a piercing business. Do not get caught up in their web page or the fact that they only do piercing. It was fine. I then ended up taking my 6 month baby during October 2 here, and her ears bled during the service! Also after the ear piercings I followed the after care but they wouldn't heal, and ended up getting way worse. We ended up having to take them off. Then we later found out the earrings we purchased from this location were fake! We went to a pawn shop to check in case and they told us they aren't real gold or silver like they say and like it's labeled on the display... overall horrible place for lying on something this serious. If I could give this piercing salon zero stars, I would. We had the most atrocious experience getting my almost 11 month olds ears pierced here today. Well we had heard wonderful things about the baby piercing experience at this location, the man who was piercing my daughters ears seemed like he was being burdened by the task. He never once even said hello or introduced himself, simply came up to us and started marking her ears. She was a little fussy and crying, he never bothered to smile or try to connect with her or try to make the experience a little bit more Bearable. He marked her ears and one year was marked at the wrong location and we made comments about this to him and asked him to change it but he effectively tried to reason his way out of moving the piercing location. The actual piercing experience itself was clearly very painful and he was entirely uncaring. At the end, he blubbered out some healing instructions that were nearly unintelligible because he didn't take any time to actually explain what he was saying but kept saying it was on the paper that he was providing us. Don't recommend. Chose this business for my daughter's ear piercing since they specialize in kids. I had hoped it would be a warm and reassuring staff, but found the opposite. They don't tell you in advance that they have a limited earring choice starting at $65 and averaging over $100 in addition to the $50+ piercing cost. She pierced mine first and it was crooked so she took it out and re-pierced it. My daughter was then so nervous and we were rushed, told not to take photos, and there was no comfort or reassurance, just told that the next person is waiting. We then were required to pay the sitting fee when she was too nervous and they only pressured and made the situation worse. Horrible experience. Highly discourage anyone from coming here. Libby is a straight up a-hole. My daughter went with her dad, and she called me crying. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard it for myself. Libby was in the background ranting at my 14 yo for asking if she was supposed to sign something or have her dad sign in. I mean RANTING, telling her "nothing you sign, nothing you put your name to means anything. You're a minor. You mean nothing. Your signature means nothing." What a nut. Reading through these other reviews it sounds like more than a few others have come in contact with her. Whew. She's like a comic book villain. It would be funny if she wasn't running a business in which she has to deal with the public, especially kids.
