I grew up with this place back in the days when it was called golf n stuff. It used to be one of the funnest places around for a good time. Don't get me wrong I still think it is with it's amusement rides and video games. Do think though they are really not keeping up with repairs and the place is going downhill. Take for example the golf course which has always been the staple of its attraction since it's beginning. The greens are majorly ripped on some holes and the tubes on some holes which transport your ball after your first shot need to be completely replaced. Ball often gets stuck because of this and can be very frustrating. Also the mats used for the tee off are are very poor and on many holes the metal rail holding down the back mat inhibited a normal stroke or was coming up completely like in the picture I posted. Really takes away from the experience. At 11 dollars a person which is a bit high anyway for goofy golf you'd think the course would be a whole lot better. The arcade games upstairs are my favorites in the place since they are more of the old school games like tron dig dug and the likes. One bad part though is again the neglect of maintenance is found here as many of the games are broken and it doesn't look like they are any hurry to fix em anytime soon. Now as for the outside rides well I admit those all seem to be in good working order. Do admit though that some of the coasters could definitely benefit by a good new paint job to give em a better look than the dull sun beaten look they have. Another improvement would be to finally reopen the circular building found next to the smaller coaster. It hasn't been used in ages other than the bottom level as a really crappy concession stand which alone needs huge improvements. Back in the day the upstairs area used to have more arcade games and maybe that wouldn't work but something should be done with it. It looks very shabby and is definitely a eyesore as u walk around the park now. Overall it was a moderately enjoyable experience however if you try to get on the go karts after 8 you will have a rude group of team members who make up excuses to not let you ride. We were only able to go on them once because someone who was on the track with me bumped into another person and as a result everyone was not allowed on it which makes no sense. Definitely avoid those folks they are rude and insensible . If they are too lazy to bother doing they job they shouldn't be working there not a good look. read more

So this review is only purely based on the mini golf portion. We didn't do the other parts of the park. The mini golf in itself is pretty fun. There are two courses, and each course has very good labels telling you where to go next. The course vary in different setup, which is fun to go through. I do wish there are more theme based set up such as candy houses or whatnot. The thing that I would improve is to ensure the cleanliness of the place more often. At least when we were there, there were trash here and there. The other thing is to check the holes in the course. Some courses require the ball to go underground through a tunnel and sometimes the ball would get stuck in there. On all a fun experience for a nice day out or family. read more

We are grandparents and took our two-year-old grandson and five-year-old granddaughter for a day trip. I would recommend kids 10 or older. There is no handicap accessible ramps for wheelchairs or strollers and the arcade games are three levels. I found the staff very pleasant but not very knowledgeable and definitely over priced. Spent a majority of the day here on our 3 day trip memorial weekend. We opted for the 100$ game play since it gave us more credit, the place is pretty big and had soo many games. I went to Castles N' Coasters once. I didn't do much Castle or Coasters. I guess I did the N'. Miniature golf here is fun. Four courses! Is that why people yell "Four!"? I've also ridden the Li'l Indy go-kart track, which was a li'l fun. They also have a Desert Storm double-looping coaster, the Patriot coaster, Splashdown (a log ride), some free-fall rides, a swinging Sea Dragon, bumper boats, bumper cars and arcade, which is so packed it is basically bumper kids. Covid warning! Went Sunday to play mini golf. They are taking absolutely no precautions to keep guests safe. You have to enter through the game room. Employees do not distance themselves from each other or guests. No masks. No cleaning of clubs balls or games. We each had our own bleach type wipes for the clubs but we would not go back until well after a vaccine. Even outside employees are seen walking and talking in groups. Pass. read more

I have been coming here since I was 8 years old. When I was young it used to be called Golf-n-Stuff. My mom took me here to play goofy golf on my 9th birthday here. My friends and I would walk over here when Metro Center Mall was a hipster place. We would play video games and skiball. Skiball and Gyrus were my games! In high school we would come down here to hang out. Metro was such a cool place that cars would cruise around the mall loop and if they were caught cruising by the police they would get a fine. My husband and I had our first date here. He took me to see Cops and Robertsons when the movie theater was a couple of doors down. It was so bad after 5 minutes we left and came to Castles and Coasters to play goofy golf and ride the cars. We brought our oldest daughter here a lot in the 90s with us, her friends or with her cousins. She enjoyed the smaller roller coaster, bumper cars and boats and sea dragon. She came with friends a few times when she was a teen and then she rode the big coaster and did the zip line too. I wanted to celebrate our 28th 1st date anniversary, and bring our youngest girls, but I wasn't sure about the area now so we are going to go early in thr middle of the week one day soon. read more

I visited from out of state so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Mini golf was great as was the amusement park and the arcade, while overpriced, was a good time as well. The only reason this doesn't get a higher rating is because none of the bathrooms were clean and frankly, they all smelled disgusting. Went to take my family to 'Castles and Coasters' to get out for the evening. Once we gotten there I was happy to see there wasn't many people. While there I've notice the ride operators was hostile when scanning our wrist bands, and many of them could careless if any customers were buckled in correctly also and not paying attention to any riders. There was a cop there walking around staring at us like he was trying to be intimidating and he started to be hostile and started yelling out loud giving orders. This is not a place I'd want to visit ever again! Hostility is imbedded this place when it should be a place to escape from a hard days work. Horrible staff. They were rude, and misleading. Paid 120 dollars for what the ticket seller explained as unlimited bumber boats, indie cars and a round of mini golf. If you want to know what the future of America looks like then spend a few hours in Castles N' Coasters. Dirty, crowded, run down. It was like being at the Alamo in 1836; we were outnumbered 40 to 1, that's no exaggeration. We went there, in the blind, after a trip up to the Grand Canyon with the kids. The all day "Unlimited Thrill Ride" wristbands cost us $45 a pop. We should've just bought them for the kids because after entering the park we came to a bridge that separated the two sides from each other. A lady at the bottom of the stairs was telling everyone that they had to have wrist bands to go over to the other side. I guess that they were running a special that day and the secret password was "No tengo.". Because every wristbandless lady that walked up to the stairs and uttered those words when challenged by the Castles N' Coasters employee was awarded with FREE $45 wristband so that she could go over to the other side with her kees. Neat. If I had known the secret password, "notengo", then I could've saved $90. Other issues: people cutting in line, weed smoke everywhere, no security guards anywhere to be seen. Nice view of a Walmart and a homeless camp though. Avoid. read more

Such a cool place! The location isn't the best, is definitely a bit hard to get to with only having two entrances but would be great for a kids party. The mini golf courses are a bit run down, not really well taken care of. Everything was kind of chipped, only one area to place your ball, the water for the fountains wasn't maintained, etc. My husband and I still had a blast though, I think it was $30 for the both of us, we came over the weekend and we're able to get through our 18 holes fairly quickly. The arcade games are pretty cool, but they're a bit expensive and you have to buy a play card to put money on it. Nice amusement park if you are in the Phoenix area. We were in town for a basketball tournament and had some free time so we decided to go to Castles and Coasters. I was a little disappointed when I arrived because I was planned on using the yelp $5 off coupon but I was informed they were only accepting coupons from their website but they didn't have any. That is the only reason for the 4 stars. We purchased the gold pass which was $40.99 per person and that included All Day Unlimited Rides, One Round 18-Hole Mini Golf and a $10 Arcade Card. The park has a obstacle course, a zipline, go carts, a cool roller coaster, mini golf, a arcade and much more. They say you are not allowed to bring food in but no one check to see if you have food or not. They have a few different food options inside the park which was nice. They had snow cones and a waffle stand. We never got a chance to use the mini golf pass because the line for the go carts took majority of the time we were there but overall is was a good time and I would recommend this place. I recommend calling before you go because the day we went they were closed for a private party in the morning. Parking is free which is another plus and there is no entrance fee you only pay for whoever is riding the rides. read more

came here for my 10 year olds birthday absolutely not a kid friendly place. the workers were so paranoid about the wrist bracelets that they walked my autistic child to the front to "firmly secure " the wristband mind you we were all the way in the back ! they also were extremely rude even moving to the next rides after . absolutely zero accommodations for strollers or wheelchairs in this whole park especially in the arcade building ! you think it's been here so long that this run down place would have had common sense to have that at least available! the rides were BEYOND FILTHY . our experience was that of a detour to an abandoned theme park that just luckily still worked ! forget this place ! never coming here again and i highly recommend you all find "FUN" elsewhere! read more

Fun place to relive your childhood days! I remember going there as a middle schooler and hanging out with all my friends. Video games galore. They had a special on Tuesday, 3 hours of unlimited play for $15. You can't earn tickets for prizes but who cares. UNLIMITED play!!! Mini golf was fun too. They have 4 different courses, they need a little updating but overall they are pretty decent. Bumper cars, roller coasters and even a hanging rope type obstacle course. Fun! Fun! Might be too hot during the summer days so maybe a night activity during those hot summer months. read more

BEWARE! Castles n Coasters will have you screaming and its not because of the rides. A HUGE waste of money. My family of 5 all got elite passes for 50 bucks each. First they should probably change the name since the 2 roller coasters they have were both shut down. Upon entry they do have a sign posted Desert Storm is closed due to maintenance ( 2 weeks prior 20 people got stuck on this ride for over 2 hrs!) Probably should have checked into this before coming. The second small coaster the Patriot was being run, but nobody was on it. Upon going up to the entrance a grumpy employee shouted something. I couldn't hear him and asked what he said as my kids started to climb the stairs. He shouted meanly "I said the ride is closed!" It was probably a sign when my husband's coworkers asked what he was doing this weekend and when he told them we were going to Castles n Coasters 3 out of 5 said " that place is still open?" Next we attempted to go on the log chute ride Splash Down. After waiting in line for 20 mins. an alarm sounds and multiple workers come running over. The ride got stuck and they had to get the passengers off the ride midway up. They then come and announce to everyone that the ride is shut down. That's 3 closed rides now and I'm starting to wonder if any of them are safe. This makes all the lines much longer with 3 closed. They have very few rides. They also weren't allowing anyone on the ropes or sky wire for some reason. Everytime we went by no one was around. We decide lets go on the bumper boats. It was a little hard to figure out how to drive it without any direction. My 9 yr old had trouble to keep turning the handle for gas and then pointing in a direction, it never wants to go far.After we got off we reeked of gas, even hours later we could still smell it all over our clothes. The exhaust smell is horrible and it even overtakes the nearby mini golf area. We then decided to play around of mini golf. There are 4 different courses, but midway through they all jumble up so you have to keep track of what color sign you started on and read signs placed through out the course..to go down stairs or turn left up hill to know where to head next, which we found a little confusing. Being Arizona and a hot summer day we were dying of thirst mid way through and were glad to see a vending machine. However it didn't work. We tried three different cards thinking it might be the magnetic swipe stripes on the cards that might be bad and then gave up. But then a couple after us entered cash and they didn't get water either. It also wouldn't refund the 4 dollars they put in. We decided to just end the course early after that cause it was just too hot. We had $10 each to use in the arcade, so we decided to cool off and go inside for a bit. The VR zombie game was the first on our list as they advertised it everywhere on the doors. The XD dark ride I guess they call it. When we went over to it and it had ropes around it and a screen that needed a code entered. We went to the game attendant and asked if was working. She acted confused and said yeah we just need to know if you want to go on and we can start it. I said ok we want to go on and she said ok and talked to someone else. He said its $ 6 each I said ok and handed over our game cards we got. He scanned the cards and said it wasn't available with the elite pass cause its not an arcade game. ?? Ok the elite pass says unlimited rides so its not a ride and not an arcade game? They should really disclose this when buying the elite pass.( FYI the card also doesn't work on prize games and ticket games you won't get tickets.) We never saw anyone on the VR game the whole time we were there, so I don't think it was working at all. Half their games weren't working and the circle path set up only really allows one person to get by at a time. So you have to keep moving aside to let people by you. Most games are expensive, we played the walking dead $2.50 for like 2 mins of game play. Just spent the whole 10 playing for about 10 min total. Spent $4 a piece on waters and ordered nachos, but no place to sit so just had to stand near by. The bathroom was totally gross with an inch worth of dust on the overhead vent just falling on to you below. The best part there was a guy walking around asking if you wanted to get misted with water. I know this is long, but I am soo disappointed with our experience. Pricing is standard, maybe a little pricier but as your local Best Buy salesman would say, you get what you pay for! We live in Chandler, it is a painful 40 minute drive to get here, not accounting for traffic (add another 2 hours with traffic.. no kidding), but it is well worth the trek! we purchased a Phoenix POGO pass and while this company was listed they made us wait 30 minutes with our children only to tell us that Phoenix pogo pass "stole" their information and posted them without their permission which I find hard to believe because POGO pass is a major thing here in Arizona. I've accompanied my niece and nephew here when I've come to visit from out of state. While I've grown up with a much larger amusement park in my city, CNC is a scaled down amusement adventure with about 10 or so rides (including the large draws of two coasters and a log flume,) mini golf and an arcade/game area. We recently took my 6-year-old nephew and 13-year-old niece and they both thoroughly enjoyed the rides and video games. For $30.99 each, child or adult, park admission for rides is included. There is additional cost for mini golf and arcade games. First, it's odd to me that kids' tickets are as expensive as adults. When is that ever the case? Not movies, the zoo, kids' meals. Second, the cost just for the rides is steep. I compared to the park where I live, Kings Island in Cincinnati. One-day admission is $39.99 for kids and $49.99 for adults if bought online. This park has 14 roller coasters alone! It also has a water park included in that admission price, entire specialized children's area, and many, many other rides. How's that for making you feel ripped off? CNC certainly has its charm and is great for kids and families. Due to the lack of nearby competition, they sure can gouge the consumer though. On another note, two parts of the park seem to be connected in the center only by a staircase, without any type of ramping. I searched for another way through, but didn't see any. If this is the case, this is clearly not compliant with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act. (As other ADA compliance issues are noted in another review.) Being disabled, this was an issue for me. Luckily, I could be assisted by my husband and was OK, but what about others? Are those in wheelchairs turned away? We've all paid admission, regardless of whether we ride the rides, and the park should be accessible and enjoyable for all. read more
