We actually came for a private screening of the documentary Sanctuary and because we came at the dinner hour, we ordered our food and it was delivered to our seats. That's really fun! The seats are big, comfortable recliners with attached trays that have cup holders and is big enough to set all your food on. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and wife did the sliders. What a fun place! We brought our daughter (and her two friends) here while visiting grandpa's house in Mesa. This place is HUGE. We had a great time and having crumbl in the same plaza for a late night cookie run post bowling was a perfect ending for the kiddos. The worker at the food bar even gave us free ice cream because we said we were visiting! If you are ever in the Mesa area and looking for something fun to do, FatCats is the place to go. It's a fun entertainment place that has an arcade, bowling, putt putt, and movies. We went and did the glow in the dark putt putt. It's a great family activity! We also played in the arcade for a bit! It was very addicting. It's not as big as a Dave and Busters arcade, but it's a decent size if you have little ones. My husband and I also had a date here while we were visiting. We watched The Color Purple which was a very beautiful movie. And the theater was not packed at all, we were the only 2 people in the theater. It has reclining chairs and they are very comfortable. The bathrooms here are very clean and if you have a baby and forget a diaper or supplies for cleaning, FatCats even has you covered. The overall vibe is they care about their establishment and it shows. If you're ever looking for something to do as a family or even a date, FatCats is worth trying. Celebrated my boyfriends birthday party here recently. We like to come here a lot but every time something tends to go wrong. We paid for extra time on the bowling lanes and they didn't care to tell you they close before the time you paid for runs out. The bar gives you watered down beer and tells you "That's how we make it" (so I would buy the cans from now on) Then , the bartender somehow "accidentally " charged $300 to my friends card when she bought one beer for less than $10? THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Seriously... Glad we caught that.... Seemed very sketchy to me. AND the bartender even came back to our table at the end of the night to make sure she got her money for the beer she charged $300 to. As a bartender, I would've given that beer for free. Skiball I played had 3 balls so you have to wait for each ball to roll back down, it breaks the rhythm. Shoot the zombie water game, the water and actual shooting spots are WAY off. Twister game doesn't register when you place your hands or feet. This is the first 3 games I played, 100% failure rate. What a waste of money when nothing works right. Update: few minutes later my daughter put coins into the coin drop machine that turned out to be broken. We contacted an employee for a refund and to mark it broken, they blew us off and left it available to steal more people's credits. Place just keeps getting worse! read more

Fat Cat's is in our neighborhood and we decided to go in to see what it's all about. They have a full sized movie theater, an area for arcade games, mini golf, and bowling. They have a snack bar for some delicious eats. We went for bowling. They charge $18/hour per person for bowling. We got our shoes and they told us what lane we had and after picking out the right ball, we got to work. I am not good at bowling, but it was fun none the less. We took our daughter here for a family outing on her birthday. Our whole family went and it happened to be family Monday- a great deal! Bowling and $10 game card and a pizza and drinks for $60. I wish we had seen the sign before we bought game cards but now we know for when we go back. The bathroom was one of the cleanest public restrooms I've ever seen, and they provide diapers and wipes- my kids are beyond that but it's a nice gesture! But Yesterday we took her to her first movie and I noticed on more than one interaction with the staff how friendly and helpful everyone was to us. The seats in this theater are 2nd to none! Their luxury theater seats are so new, clean, and incredibly comfortable! I usually don't like to sit for too long, but a 3 hour Batman show was a piece of cake! U can have food/snacks delivered to ur seat as well. As far as I know, they have cosmic bowling, mini golf, and games! The games aren't the greatest, but u could kill a little bit of time playing a few good ones there. Love fats cats and so excited I have a location in Mesa. It's such a great place for bowling, movies, video games, golfing and VR. This location is huge in comparison to the Gilbert location. I generally come here for the movies and I'll say the theaters are way nicer than the Gilbert location. They even have little tables for each seat so you can enjoy your food. The biggest fault of this location is the food choices in comparison to the Gilbert location. It's a smaller menu and doesn't nearly have the options like the fat cats burger and the loaded nachos. I wish they would update the menu to add those. I do like they have the Dolby Atmos audio system in the theater. Best sound you can get for your movie experience! Outside of that, it's a great experience and I love fats cats. If they just expanded the menu a bit, they would get five stars for sure read more

We came here on a Saturday evening for bowling. I like that they charge by hour not by game. If you want to bowl several games this is a more economical way to do it. The alleys were well maintained. The shoes are cleaned and sanitized between bowlers. They have an adequate selection of balls (not sanitized). It's up to you if you want to use a community ball. Seeing that they were opening Fat Cats was interesting because I have never heard of this company before. Attractions: Fat Cats has some great attractions available to all ages! They have an arcade right when you walk in, movie theater, mini golf course that is glow in the dark, food and drinks, and of course BOWLING! I have personally done all but the VR station. I love the movie theaters seating that reclines. The popcorn is pretty decent for the price, and the bowling alley seemed a little too greased up. I almost slipped multiple times, but I eventually got my footing. Overall: If you're looking for great fun, and a decent price, make sure to look up Fat Cats. This FatCats just opened (within the last 2 or so months, I think?) and I have been keen to visit since. Finally, a movie came out that I wanted to see (The Gentlemen) and I had the time to go. First thing's first: there is a TON of parking. Like... good on whoever planned this parking lot out because it's spacious and clean and there are so many spaces! There's also really good lighting which helps if you're a weirdo like me who likes to go to movies alone. The actual venue is less traditional theatre and more all in one fun zone. At the risk of sounding like SNL's Stefan, they've got a bar, bowling, an event center, a virtual reality experience, a theatre, a restaurant.... you could totally spend hours here and a whoooole lot of money if you're not careful. Speaking of money... this place is so reasonably priced! I was really surprised. Tickets for an evening show were about $13 and I even got a little dinner (another $12). You can't really beat that price for entertainment and a small meal - I got 3 chicken strips, fries, and a drink. You order your food and the very lovely people who work there will bring it to you in theatre -- pro tip: if you wanna eat, get there a bit early so you can order and they can bring it to you comfortably - the theatre is fully dark and there's not a way to call them back in. Speaking of comfort (wow, I'm on a roll with these!)... the seats are so roomy and comfortable - they even recline! Seating is reserved and you choose where you want to sit when you buy the tickets (which is super nice because it doesn't turn into a bloodbath to sit mid-center). The one issue I had was the closed caption machine didn't work. I tried everything I knew to try, but still I was unsuccessful in getting captions. The seats are also not set up super Deaf-friendly because the cup holders are too high and when you put the CC machine in, it sits impossibly high and awkward. You can adjust the machine - the neck is bendable - but not to the point you'd need it to bend in order to see the screen and the captions simultaneously. HOWEVER, that's something that happens no matter where you go when the seats are set up that way. That isn't specific to FatCats. I will say that when I returned the machine and let the gal behind the concessions stand know it didn't work, she told me she'd look into it. She even knew some sign! It was really cool to have her communicate like that. All in all, the experience was awesome. Great prices, comfy seats, nice staff... I'll definitely be back again soon! read more
