We had an amazing time last week thank you everything for your hospitality. The staff was amazing.

It was so fun! We went for my girlfriend's birthday and they even added a mirror and decorated it. That is above and beyond and so kind. Definitely love places that go that far to make the experience better. The lady behind the counter was very helpful too. read more

This place is awesome! It was our first time visiting and we had such a great time. It is 100% worth it and extremely satisfying! The staff was very helpful. They walk you through the whole process and everything you need. There are a bunch of package options and add on's for your session. Once you're in and ready to go, it's an absolute blast! You can pick your own music to jam out to and smash away! It's so much fun and such a good way to let out some stress/frustration. A very satisfying and fun thing to do! Whether you're by yourself or looking for a fun date night activity, it's worth trying. You will not be disappointed and will feel great afterward! read more

What a fun experience! If you've ever had the urge to randomly smash something whether in frustration or just to hear the sound it would make this is the place to do it. You will be in safety gear & be in a room designed for smashing fun so that you won't ruin anything in your own home and best of all you do not need to sweep it all up afterward. It is nice that you get to pick a crate from their hallway of objects you'd like to smash, it adds a little customization to the experience along with any add on items you can buy. I ended up with a plate in my crate & had a blast throwing it at the wall like a frisbee and watching it shatter into a bunch of tiny pieces. We also had a computer monitor that had been placed in our room to smash with a cute welcoming message for us! My family & I had a great time, and the confetti filled bottles are so neat to see shatter because the confetti makes a pop of color. This can be pretty therapeutic if you need it. They had some bigger items that looked fun to break as well like a fax machine and old radios. This is a spot I know we will end up booking again sometime in the future with a bigger group of people. Price wise I think it is fair because you get the protective gear, the room space, a crate full of objects, the clean up afterwards and a bottle of water if you wish at the end of your session. read more

I love this place. If you need to channel your feelings into something fun AND destructive, this is the place to do it. I do recommend bringing a nose-mouth face mask, otherwise I've heard you'll have some gnarly boogers from the dust created by smashing stuff. read more

What a way to discover how dysfunctional you are. Haha! It was a great way to let the anger out and spend NYEve just letting it all out. Friendly staff and glad we were able to try this out. A definite must do with the family! read more

THERAPY THERAPY THERAPY!! Best place I've ever been to and walked away with a big weight lifted. For me this place was exactly what I needed to get rid of some anger. I got my pass from Groupon for a 30 min smash session. You get one crate of various breakables. Beer bottles, wine glasses, China plates, etc. you can add on additional items for various costs. My crate was just enough for me though. You get a 10 min conversation about the dos and don'ts. If you wear pants like I did, you have the option of a jacket only or you can wear a full size jumpsuit. Plastic gloves then cloth gloves and you're ready! I went in on them bottles and lost my mind, but that's what I NEDED! I would recommend this place to anybody! Solo, date night, families, office groups, EVERYBODY! read more

Smashed on 5/3/23: First of all, I've been WAY overdue to partake in a Smashroom as it's been on my To Do list for a while now. The experience was gifted to me & (although I didn't pay), it was worth it!! Lol. I had the confetti bomb added & midway through, my friend added a fax machine for me to smash. Wish I knew you could bring 1crate of your own smashables for FREE (long as they pass their inspection for dangerous fluids/chemicals). Connected my music to their Bluetooth speaker and SMASHED away! Shed much needed stress & frustration. Only thing is we paid for the polaroid photo but they forgot to take it but we're willing to return the price for the pic back to my friend. I'm recommending this type of experience & I plan to return to reset my stress levels. Lol. read more

Breakthrough Smash Room - Recreation Centers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Honestly I had higher expectations based on reviews and how the website described how they host "events." When we got there, we were taken to a make shift "event" room which seemed like their employee break room and we sat there for 25 minutes with no information on what was happening. I had to go ask the front what the plan was, if we were doing food first or going into the Smashroom. They told us it was up to us, but our pizza was on the way. We decided to start in the smashroom because we had already wasted 25 minutes of our time. The Smashroom itself was fun! However I expected a couple bigger ideas to be provided since we were there for an event. And the room was too all small to safely fit all 6 people in my party. After we finished in there, we went back to our room for pizza. The website description said it was going to be Rays pizza, however we got Pizza Hut... which was disgusting. If I had known Rays wouldn't have been provided (which should have been disclosed beforehand) I would have saved my money. For what we spent (over $300) on this, my party and I were disappointed. I would not recommend this place for an event, but I would if the group size was smaller than 5 and just strictly breaking thing. read more

Easy to find in strip mall. Easy procedure and smooth intake. They have different options; we went with the basic. It was one crate worth of breakables for 30 minutes. I thought it was all you can break in 30 minutes. Nope. Its one crate and you have 30 minutes max. My son ended up grabbing another crate without knowing there was an extra charge. They told us after we had already broken some. At least we didn't get more. He had a blast but its a little pricey and we felt a little scammed, but maybe that was our misunderstanding. read more

This is such a great concept!!! We discovered ahead of time that we can bring extra stuff to smash (within reason - they clean it up). They include a crate of breakable stuff in the cost. We brought some extra items that we bought at the Goodwill, stuff that was junk, and Goodwill is a good place to find junk that should be trashed and smashed. If you want to avoid seeking stuff out at multiple Goodwills, as we did, you can purchase extra stuff at this smash place!! They have a LOT of variety that they offer up for smashing, including sanitized TOILETS!! Those would probably be a blast to smash!! Never would we have been able to experience this experience without this new concept (they have been open for three years, but we more recently discovered it). It was CRAZY fun!! Our teen smashed a small printer (must remove the ink first). It was interesting to see the inside of a smashed printer. He also smashed a small computer screen and, it too, was very interesting to see the inside layers once smashed. The biggest winner to smash was a mirror that we brought!! It was by far our favorite smashable! You will get bottles and other glass items in your crate. We added extra bottles to our crate!! You can throw the bottles (or whatever) against the cement wall, hang them on the hanger above the table and swing at them, place them on the table a swing a bat at them, or smash them on the table! The glass bottles were a favorite too!! I will say that the rooms are somewhat small considering people are swinging bats and crow bars around! Be careful! LOL!! My teen HATES going to Goodwill!!! But suddenly, he is excited to go to Goodwill to find some fun smashable items!! We will go on some treasure hunts to find the perfect smash items!! We will DEFINITELY go back again!! read more

Breakthrough Smash Room - Me and my friend after destroying everything in sight - Recreation Centers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Celebrated 2 young mens 26th bdays. This past year has been a rough one and frankly it was the most therapeutic outlet for everyone included. Owner Robert was so accommodating. Only down side was wish they had a larger room to accommodate our party size. Only 6 in at a time. We worked it out by rotating so birthday guys in entire time but also so mom's could release some emotional stress. Bottom line, we definitely are already considering a different reason for another party. Pizza from Ray's. Guys really not cake guys so brought brownies . The most important thing is both guys being celebrated along with their friends and moms too; had a SMASHING TIME! read more

Wow! You gotta try this place if you live in Phoenix! We made a reservation and prepaid for our visit. Staff is super friendly and explained everything well. You get a jumper, boots, gloves and a mask. There are plenty of add ons if you want to smash and crash something other than what's provided in your personal crate. You start out in a warm up room, and we demolished the stove! When we got to our room we enjoyed the confetti bottles, picture frames and plates. Regular beer bottles aren't as fun as the denser items, so we added on a monitor which gave us a good workout. Various weapons are provided in the room. So you can swing, throw and smash to your hearts delight. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and took about an hour total for 2 people. It's definitely a work out, and they even let you connect to a Bluetooth speaker to jam to your tunes while you smash. So so exhilarating, and 100% would go again! Opt in for the video! read more

Went on black Friday to de-stress. Groupon special. Picked out items on the list, but also brought a TV screen, old plates, and whiskey bottles and other glass jars. Loved that if you bring something that is listed on their list, thats allowed. Korri and her team were very welcoming, knowledgeable, super sweet and gave us plates and black markers to decorate our plates and free bottles of water. She even gave us extra glass bottles and a few surprises. We saved the confetti bombs and grenades until the very end. Because no one was booked after us, we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted. Our session of .30 minutes quickly became an hour and a half. We burned over 1000 calories smashing, pulverizing and breaking pottery, plates, glass bottles and jars, keyboards, computers, tv screens, computer towers, etc. The weapons of crow bar, bats, sledge hammer, bike lock were efficient. Throwing the plates and pottery against the wall was satisfying. Really enjoyed this opportunity to de-stress. Bring your own music to plug into their speaker and crank it up. Soundproof rooms. Looks like another friend booked this for January, so I will be back! read more

I cannot say enough about the incredible experience we had here! My party of three had fun from the moment we walked in. The place was clean, the staff was next level nice and super helpful. They explained the how to's and what to expects so we could have the best time, and we certainly did. I was shocked at how therapeutic breaking stuff was! As someone who suffers with high anxiety, the release I felt as I threw glass bottles against the concrete wall was amazing. It felt so invigorating, I was beside myself. Please, please try this, you owe it to yourself to try it at least once. read more

Breakthrough Smash Room - This is our mess! - Recreation Centers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

For a special holiday experience, we did a family outing to the Breakthrough Smash Room. Since we had a 7 and 3 year-old, we opted for the Splatter Room, and it did not disappoint. Robert took good care of the kids and helped them to understand the rules and provided protective poncho gear. Each of us got a canvas, and we were able to spend some time creating our personal masterpieces and then got to do a bit of a splatter paint 'fight' that the kids enjoyed even more. We spent this week supporting local activities in Phoenix and for us the Breakthrough Smash Room was the most novel. Thank you Breakthrough Smash Room read more

First off, Sen was so nice when we came in! She gave us some great guidance on what items to smash. We also got there early and she was able to accommodate us. We picked a couple keyboards, some confetti bottles and an old Xbox so my boyfriend could get his revenge on the "red ring of death" (if you know you know). Plus the two crates it comes with. We also paid the extra $10 for the warm up room and highly recommend it. Anyways - DO IT. One of the best dates my boyfriend and I have had!!! Do the keyboard and pick a couple extra fun things to hit. A+++++ 100000% recommend and will be back read more

Took my soon to be daughter-in-law here to blow off some pre-wedding planning stress. Such a fun experience. We had a total adrenaline high after. Shout out to Stephanie! Thank you! What a great mother and daughter-in-law bonding experience. Much better than a brunch :) Highly recommend! read more

This was a fun quick day date after lunch! And much needed during the holiday season. We hit up Goodwill prior to our scheduled time to grab a few more pieces cheap with their 50% color sticker day. The smash room also provided a big crate of bottles, plates, mugs - but they had a lot more items on site to purchase. Next time we'll get a couple confetti bottles or a printer and have an Office Space moment. Highlight for me was smashing a router and plates. Bottles were fun, but being able to take a few hits was therapeutic. Also recommend bringing hearing protection if you're doing larger items as the small room for me was too much for my ears. Looking forward to coming by again with my mom friends sometime in 2024! read more

This place is outrageously expensive, 45 dollars per person for 30 minutes time in the room. You are given are a limited amount of glass bottles only to smash, anything else is extra money. Finished my session in 7 minutes, $9.30 PER second. Will not be returning unless they charge significantly less. If you want to smash beer bottles go to your uncle's recycling bin for free. read more
