I came two times in a week with two different groups. Both times were fun. We did the 3/5 difficulty and didnt require too many clues in either one. Booked an escape room as an activity for my family coming in to town from NY. I searched multiple places over the Xmas holidays and read reviews but either they were closed, evening hours snd opening from 5p onwards or a lot of rooms were booked. Eludesions not only was open on the 26th but all the escape rooms are private, so its just you and no strangers. We did the Mad Hatter Tea Party since the kids are 8 and 12 and 3/5 difficulty. I have been to Eludesions twice now and had an excellent experience both times. On my first visit, I came as team building experience and we did the Mad Hatter room. Loved how immersive, creative, and fun it was. On my second visit, my family and I did The Land of Unfit Toys and had a blast. It was absolutely perfect for my daughter who was very worried about anything scary. The game masters do a fantastic job and are very pleasant. With the perfect 5 star rating, I had high hopes for the experience. My group consisted of 3 adults and 2 kids, so a total of 5. I was searching for a new experience to try out for my now tween son's birthday and this place caught my eye. No one in my group had experience with escape rooms and we were all eager to try it out. My son ended up choosing the Black and White room as it is one of the easier rooms. The customer service and assistance throughout our time was great. However, we were all left disappointed and frustrated. We spent the first 10 minutes wandering aimlessly as we were given no direction on where to proceed to start what we hoped to be a successful journey to completing the escape. Around the 10 minute mark, our game master provided the first of several clues through the TV in the room so we could finally start getting the puzzles done. There was a puzzle about halfway through that was exceptionally difficult. I'm not going to reveal it to prevent spoilers but it took 3 on-screen clues and the game master actually coming in to explain did we finally get going. This particular puzzle ate away 50% of our time easily. We were already behind at least 10 minutes at the start and now this. I knew we were not going to successfully escape at this point unless the remaining puzzles were going to be stupid easy (spoiler: they aren't). We did get far despite the setbacks but we were not able to successfully escape in time. Hubby stormed out with the kids as soon as it was over but BFF and I stayed behind to find out what was remaining. I just couldn't leave without knowing after spending quite a bit of money to fail. A different game master from our initial one was nice enough to go over what was still left and what the conclusion would have been if we were successful. My first point of contention is our room was without A/C or any kind of air flow. It was very warm at the start and only got warmer as time progressed with 5 bodies in a small space. We joked after we left that we had to sign the liability waivers because there was a chance we could've had a heat stroke during the game. My second point of contention was that our room was not fully reset. The door to our room would not stay shut because the full reset was not done and the magnets couldn't turn on I guess to keep the door shut. Our game master ended up using a door stopper on the outside of the room to keep it shut. Also, my younger son unlocked a clue that was meant to be discovered towards the end of the game. This clue was supposed to be locked until we completed the puzzle to reveal this. Whoops. My last point of contention was the lack of direction given at the start of our game. Yes, we could have asked the game master sooner for the first clue but again as beginners, we had no idea what to expect. BFF believed it would had made the difference in being successful if we were given the first clue immediately. I don't know what the policy is around that but it wouldn't be a bad idea to do this for future guests, especially if they stated upfront that they are beginners. The Black and White room is supposed to be 2.5/5 in difficulty but it was closer to a 4/5 for us. I know that as a beginner, my view is skewed to believe that everything is difficult. I am not opposed to coming back with the right group of people to experience this again. Who knows when that will be? But for now, I'm in no hurry. read more

I had high hopes for this escape room and the room it self was great. The puzzles were on point for us to solve the room within the 1 hour allotted especially with majority of our room being kids. The room we did was Escape from Oz. The disappointing part of our experience was that we had booked (weeks in advance) 2 rooms for our group, about 1.5 hrs before our event was to start I received a phone call that we could no longer do 1 of the rooms which created a LOT of issues and hardships for us as we booked it at the same time so we wouldn't have kids waiting. The solutions presented were only a VERY hard and scary room (we had 12 year olds doing the room - so that was a no). Or to wait and do the same room only in the next time slot making half of our group wait which is what we were trying to avoid. When I inquired while waiting there about the "broken" room, I was told they had been trying to fix it all weekend. If that was the case calling and telling me much earlier than 1.5 hours before our start time would have helped me greatly with coming up with a better plan. Our group ended up spending hours there and when I asked about what could be done for the inconvenience I was told they could refund 15% of the fees paid, but I have yet to see a refund and I keep getting an email stating I have a balance due. The place was recommended to us, but I am not sure after this experience we would come back. Now about the room and personnel working, our game master was great. She was very friendly and helpful. The game was unique and easy enough for kids aged 7-10 with our 2 adults. We did have 1 issue during the room with something opening before a puzzle was solved so the game master came/paused the game and had us put the item back. The room was fun, but the issues we faced definitely impacted what should have been a fun experience that our girls worked hard to earn. read more

We have gone here twice within the last few days. We had so much fun working through the Mad Hatter room that we came back to do the Wizard of Oz room. Both were amazing! Though I preferred the Mad Hatter just because that's my favorite. You get to walk through several very well decorated and laid out rooms, and the whole ambience is so immersive. The set quality at this place is incredible!! We did two escape rooms, the first was the Painters collection and the second was the Mad hatter's Escape. Both were of impressive quality. I particularly enjoyed the painters collection as it had such an interesting back story. The mad hatters room was gigantic. It was sooo incredible how detail oriented the rooms were. Additionally, our game master, Shelton, was very attentive and made sure to give us hints as we asked for them. Overall, it was a lovely experience at this escape room! There are many escape rooms in Phoenix, Arizona, which is HUGE, and so when we chose to try out Eludesions Escape Rooms' The Land of Unfit Toys , it was because it was a mere 15-minute drive from the excellent Musical Instrument Museum on Highway 101 and right off the I-17, and because, located in a shopping center (it looks like Eludesions takes up almost a third of it!), it had plentiful, free parking. Still only at the beginning of the 2023 summer heatwave, we thought we would go for a Christmas in July theme and get cooled off. Unfortunately, we had booked their first game of the day - at 4:15pm it was still scorching outside, and their air-conditioning had yet to kick in. We first arrived to a comfortably-cool dim lobby that had plenty of stylish seating and table games. The toilets were clean, with the male / female rooms separate (thank you!) and a water fountain outside the restroom (thank you, thank you!). And then, the surprises started. The story for The Land of Unfit Toys was cute and our task to the point. We literally just had to travel from the lobby to the (heat) outside, walk to the adjacent building and into the Land of Unfit Toys and recover enough gifts to save Christmas while Santa's Workshop is out of commission. If it wasn't 114-degrees out and we were the first game of the day, or even if the air had been strong enough to cool the room down as we were playing, it would have been really immersive. The décor was deceptively simple / sparse upon walking in, very much like how it would look in Santa's Workshop out of season, as a matter of fact. It really would have been the perfect Christmas room for Arizona summer, except that it's hard to feel we were in the North Pole when we were sparkling like ice crystals ... The room is what we would consider a mid-tech room with no locks: things just open when you solve the puzzles, and the sound and ambient light effects were just right for kids and kids-at-heart. The puzzles were also deceptively simple. With two people whose minds can't quite work in the heat, they were quite a challenge - no lie. Each puzzle took a long time: there were no quick tasks or instant gratification, but there was a good mix of spatial, mnemonic and visual puzzles, and it helps if you have good hand-eye coordination. Paper on a clipboard would have been easier to see than the boogie board we were given - but the board was part of the game. It is a better room for four people, because there was at least one puzzle when the game master had to be our third. A good memory is definitely an asset. Amazingly, we managed to finish the room, as we had asked - even dressed in barely-nothing-summer-time clothes we were glittering like the outside of the cups of the ice-cold boba we were dying for by the time we got out: 54.20! Were we exceptionally smart even though it was so warm in the room that we managed to solve this room? Of course not! We owe our victory over the room to game master: Hayla (I think, although she goes by Lolo?) She was fantastic, and we absolutely could not have completed our game without her. Once done with our game, we walked back out into the heat and to the lobby, where they had signs to take our photos with, and props - just not the Christmassy ones because they were being cleaned. We could get 20% off if we booked a second room right after our game but we were too hot to take advantage of the offer, although, with nine rooms to choose from, it would have been fun. Honestly, though, we could tell we were getting close to Los Angeles when the prices of escape rooms started going up! It still wasn't quite as expensive as Frisco in Colorado, however (previously reviewed), since we had to pay for four but we played with two, but we have never minded paying more, as long as we enjoyed ourselves. In any case, this is comparable to CA as far as overall cost, and it was worth the price for the experience: our game master made our game! read more

Amazing!!! We celebrated my son's 9th birthday here - so 8 kids 2 adults went through the experience while I chilled in their very welcoming and sleek feeling lobby. From the start the staff were exceptional. I called ahead of time to get details and the girl was very nice. We scheduled it earlier around 12pm before it got busy as it was a Saturday. The kids and adults loved it! They did the Mad Hatter one and it took them a little less than the hour allotted. The kids loved the clues and immediately wanted to do another one. My sister and I had some time to kill before our flight home and decided to do an escape room. We have done many escape rooms and the design and puzzles here were very intricate and original. Tyler was our game master and he was amazing! He was friendly, knowledgeable and fun! He stepped in with clues exactly when we needed them. We did the Wonderland room first and had so much fun we did the Oz one right after. We will definitely come back here next time we are in town! We have a done several of the rooms here and love them. We are typically two adults with 3 small kids and the kids also loved the rooms and there were plenty of things the kids can participate in and sometimes it's even them who figure out what piece of information we are missing. We really enjoyed the immersiveness of the rooms and the themes are fun too. We have done The mad hatter, escape from Oz, and case file x- all three were fun and we would recommend. We did also did the land of unfit toys and we had the hardest time with a couple of those puzzles and that room just wasn't as immersive or fun. We are definitely planning to come again and try some of the others. read more

The Niece wanted to try an escape room. There are so many escape rooms in the valley now. We couldn't find a deal through Groupon so ended at Eludensions after reading a ton of 5-star reviews. I'm so glad we ended up here. We tried the Mad Hatter room with just 5 of us. It was an excellent experience for first-timers. The Alice in Wonderland theme was on point. The puzzles were so creative, challenging, yet so much fun. Luckily, we got some really smart ones in the group and didn't need too many hints. As time ticked, eventually managed to escape the room with over 3 minutes to spare. The price might be higher than the other escape rooms but all worth it. We had a fantastic time with a group of six at Eludsions! This staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and you could tell they were passionate about creating a good experience. We had Josh as a game master for the Operation Counterpart escape room. It was my first time doing an escape room, but we had a mixed group some who had never done one, a couple people who had and we found it to be challenging, but were able to solve it in the timeframe with only a couple extra clues from Josh. They explained everything and was very engaging. When we were in the escape room, they helped but not too much. They gave the perfect amount of clues. We escaped The Mad Hatter on "Have I Gone Mad?" mode! This was one of our favorite rooms in all of Phoenix. There were lots of physical challenges (pushing buttons, performing tasks) and very few simple find-a-lock-find-the-key type of situations. I felt like we were in a movie set the entire time; the rooms are very bright, colorful, and well-designed. You can really get into the theme of the room, and our game master kept the mood going with themed clues. Our team had four of us, and we escaped comfortably with time to spare without using too many hints. I think experienced Escapers can do this room with four people; it might be tricky but still possible for a group of four novices. I like keeping groups small since you get to be involved in almost every aspect of the rooms. Apparently Eludesions is opening some new rooms here soon! Can't wait to come back and do the rest of their rooms. read more

It's about $30 per person. When you get there, you're told the instructions for maybe 5 - 10 minutes and then you go to the room. We were a group of 6 that did the Alice In Wonderland Escape room called "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" which was the highest level of difficulty they had. It begins in a small room and the delightful surprises are plenty. There were two times we were stumped and that's when we asked for a clue. You are allowed up to three clues. This is my FAVORITE escape room. I have done three rooms here and they have all been fantastic! The Wizard of Oz one was the first one I did, and I was blown away by the scenery and set up. The Mad Hatter was the second one, and it was even better. The Runestone one I did last, and it was definitely cool, but the other two just had so much going on, that I liked them better. Overall though, the rooms were challenging, but the game masters were helpful without being too leading, and very, very fun and creative! They are also larger than some other rooms I have visited so there's a lot more to explore. Highly, highly recommend! read more

The facility is impressive, so clean and well done and the Mad Hatter was the bomb - 100% brilliant in it's decor and complexity.
