I need to start this review with the preface that I've done probably close to 100 escape rooms, all around the world. The greatest escape offered two of the most immersive rooms I've ever experienced. The Isle room was incredible and featured several types of puzzles I've never experienced before. You felt like you were actually in a secluded place and at times it even felt ominous. The museum room was similar in nature, but lesser so just based on the story line. It still felt authentic and immersive. Again, several puzzles I haven't experienced before that made you think differently. Every single puzzle (not using more specific words here to protect the secrecy of the rooms) worked perfectly and we were able to navigate without any issues. Throwing us under the bus but we did use a couple hints in each room. Very minimal though! Highly recommend trying their rooms out whether you're an expert or an amateur. It's sure to be fun for all, either way! read more

Wow, I love this place out whole family had so much fun! The customer service was outstanding, the place is very clean and super cool! So much attention to detail! The room we did was about a art museum and it was hard but also not so hard that we didn't understand it. They help you when you are stuck, but not to much that you can't figure it out yourself. It's super cool, the details all over this place are so good. You can really tell the people who own this place out lots of love and care into it. The place looks small but the escape rooms have so much inside of them and they are a lot bigger than you would expect. I would highly recommend this place for all ages! read more

Decided to try out this escape room today based on the reviews and pricing. There were a lot of Groupons for other rooms, but when we did the math, the price was about the same for this one. The young woman who greeted us was lovely and went over the basics. Then we were off. The room was great. Well designed, fun puzzles, most were solvable although we need some help on two of them as we got a little stuck. We have done around 7 escape rooms over the years and I would put this near the top. I would definitely recommend this venue. Easy parking, nice staff, fun room. This is a relatively small establishment, so you won't see a bar or beverages and such that some of the bigger places have. Lastly, I don't know that they guarantee private rooms - if that matters to you, you should check. Would also encourage them to add military discount comparable to what some of their competitors have. read more

Creative puzzles, immersive experiences, and everything makes sense. When we were finished, our conversation was filled with how fantastic every detail was put together. Wow. We've done about 15 escape rooms over the past year in Phoenix, San Diego, and Las Vegas. For the most part Escape rooms run the gambit of the good, the bad, and the ugly. The Great Escape is the exception to this rule; it was better than good it's the best. We did Isle of Wonders first and it was amazing. It's everything you want an escape room to be, challenging yet logical. pPuzzles that are both creative and innovative. Hands down the best special effects and technology. Some things hands on and others thought provoking. Truly a masterpiece... so much so that I was actually sad when it was over, happy to win but sad it wasn't twice as long. I prefer to support local and small, and in this case it's family owned and operated, this is their only location. And as of the posting of this review they only have 2 rooms operating. Today we did the museum of history heist and while completely different than isle of wonder it's just as amazing. We'll be back when they get their other rooms online. I wish every escape room was as thought out and well executed as this one. read more

First time trying this place and it was overall positive. We showed up last minute for Museum Heist and they were able to accommodate us! The difficulty was moderate and that felt appropriate. Most of the puzzles were of similar pattern (a puzzle getting numbers for a 4-digit lock). Some puzzles weren't entirely clear and at the end, we had a couple items that weren't sure how they related. I appreciated there weren't horror elements in this puzzle/their puzzles. read more

What a place of wonder. My group of friends traveled from California to play a bunches of escape room in Arizona. We heard many things about this place, so we added the Isle of Wonder to our list. As a beginner to escape rooms with a short attention span the art museum themed room offered something for everyone. Completing the room with a larger group after a long work day was certainly easier than if the workload fell on fewer of us but, the room could also be solved by smaller groups of an elite few. The props are well and creatively crafted. Like I said earlier, for a person with a short attention span, I was very impressed and entertained by the various moving clues and game pieces. The employees are also happy to help if you get stuck so don't worry, you can definitely finish it even if you're new. a great out of the box activity for friends, family or both!! read more

We did a birthday party there for teen ages kids and it was fantastic. They have a break room you can decorate (with a fridge for the ice cream and cake). The escape room was perfect for kids that age and they were able to "escape" within the allotted time frame. This is a family owned local business and we will defiantly use them again. read more

Our twin daughters LOVE escape rooms so we brought them here for their 12th birthday. We have done a few others in the Phoenix area and this was our favorite! We did the Museum Heist room. I did "the museum of history" with my family (4 adults, 2 kids, ages 10 and 14). We had SO much fun! I had scheduled this no less than 3 times--I kept having to cancel due to illness. The staff was flexible, understanding and very easy to work with. When we finally made it, we had a blast. The difficulty level was perfect for all of us. I came to play the Cinema De La Luna: Murder Mystery a couple of weeks ago and I was so blown away that I had to write a review. The room itself was very nicely done. The puzzles and story made perfect sense, some puzzles were challenging, but solvable. The amount of detail put into this room was just insane. This was the first Murder Mystery you actually had to solve for the murder weapon and the murderer. My group and I loved it so much we decided to play the Isle of Wonder as well. Words can't even describe how incredible this room was. This room felt like you were on an actual island. The set design and puzzles were out of this world. Also "WISDOM" was totally cool and never seen before. (Have to play the room to understand don't want to spoil anything). My group has never done a room as immersive as the Isle Of Wonder is. The amount of tech used in this room was amazing and for the price we paid to the product we got as just insane. For $24.99 a person this place is a steal and a hidden GEM! My group and I have done nearly 60 escape rooms across the United States and this location by far is one our favorites. Both rooms were just incredible. I am honestly still blown away from the price we paid to the product we got. The rooms were so well done and immersive that I didn't want to stop playing, I was actually sad that it was over. I have never came across a location that I enjoyed so much that I never wanted to leave. The moment I entered the building it was inviting and the staff was so friendly and kind. The whole facility was clean and well kept. Both rooms was also very well kept up. The decor of the lobby and the hallway was also on point as well.(like a mini art gallery). I can't wait to come back and try their other two rooms. I honestly can't thank you enough for an enjoyable AFFORDABLE EXPERIENCE for my friends and I. Best price and rooms in town by far. Like I said before I am no escape room expert, but I have played nearly 60 rooms with my group and by far these two rooms are on my top 5 rooms of all time. A true hidden GEM! read more

Had the best time ever here with my 8 year old daughter tonight! I love that this place is family owned and affordable! The building smelled nice right when I walked in, it was super clean, and everybody was welcoming and friendly. Our escape room was well themed with many fun surprises along the way, and the crew helped us out with hints as needed, given my daughter is so young. We managed to get out in time and we were given a nice surprise at the end! We will definitely be back. We can't wait to try the detention room next time! They also offer birthday parties which would be an engaging, interesting, non traditional party option. Very nice employees. Very clean escape room. We did the Missing Art room with 4 adults and 4 kids that were 9 and under. Everyone had a blast and can't wait to come back. They said they only give 3 clues, but we asked for an extra one and he gave it to us. Not sure if it was because we had so many kids, but giving the extra clue and escaping made for the kids having more fun! We've been to a few escape rooms and this is one of our favorites.
