I am one who can be picky about escape rooms and I am a HUGE fan of Inferno Escape Rooms. I've now done two rooms at their location and have had such positive experiences both times. The first room I did was "Santa's Workshop"-this is the most challenging room that they have. This room was the perfect balance of difficult and fun. The team at Inferno is really creative in their story building and puzzle development. This is a great option if you are looking for a fun holiday activity to do with friends or family. I recommend not doing this room with more than 4 people. The second room I did was "The Candy Shoppe". Our group ended up arriving to the room a bit late and the Inferno staff was so understanding and accommodating. They adjusted the room's puzzles to match the time we did have and were great at anticipating we we needed extra guidance. I can't wait to come back again-after your session is over, they even offer a discount for you to rebook again. I highly recommend checking this place out if you love to do escape rooms. read more

Awesome experience for our first escape room. Candy one is perfect for kids and not too difficult. Grace, the game master was awesome too.

We have done two escape rooms here. One was for a date night and we did LIT which was so fun. If you haven't done an escape room, it can really test your relationship :) It took lots of hints but it was still so much fun. They personalized our experience a bit with writing my husband's name on the mirror. I loved that! We bought the gift card/code deal and came back with our kids. We picked the candy shop and our girls LOVED it (9 and 7 yrs old). They were able to do the code on the locks but struggled with the puzzle aspect which was fine because mom and dad could help figure it out. We finished the puzzle and got a sweet treat which was such a surprised for all of us. They had the right amount of treats for each of us, which again felt so personalized. As we left, we popped in to see Santa's workshop and our kids begged us to come back (they're hoping they get another treat-lol). We bought the deal again so we can save some more money and bring the girls back for one of their birthdays. The hosts are so awesome too! They really know when to step in (without over stepping) depending on how you're doing with the puzzle/clue. Definitely a must do for couples and families! read more

This room was actually a last minute decision for us. We were going to go to another place, but for time's sake we chose this one. The other reason why we quickly grabbed our wallets out is because Date Night Disaster room's description said you would get hand cuffed together after being kidnapped. This was super new for what we were used to in escape rooms. This was also for my boyfriend's birthday, and the company had the option to hide something in the room for a special occasion. Super cute! Needless to say, we had a blast trying to maneuver around the room chained to someone else. Our height difference made it funny. We escaped with some hints with 4 seconds to spare! The Lit room was LIT! This was a unique room with a theme we haven't encountered before. Puzzles were themed well and structured in a fun way. We definitely needed a few clues, but we escaped with plenty of time to spare! Always fun to do a party-themed room during COVID when you can't actually party like this. Superrrrr fun, my fairly small group of 3 tried and succeeded in the "Lit" room! We loved it. There's a phone in the room that allows you to text for hints, & we did need a couple small ones. The phone also has Spotify which allows you to play whatever party music you want while you figure it all out. We told the staff it was my birthday before arriving and they left me a sweet message in the rooms mirror which was very appreciated and pretty cool. This escape room was so cool! We did the one with the professor or something and we needed to figure out his longevity secret. Super fun! My husbands first escape room and he really enjoyed it. The puzzles were so good, a little complicated so the owner/front desk helped us out a lot and were keeping an eye on us so we weren't led astray or stuck for too long which I really appreciated. While booking a party for a Saturday escape room event on the Inferno website. The website changed the date to the day it was being booked from the Saturday that it was planned. The Inferno called to advise the scheduled time was missed and they would be keeping the $30 deposit. When talking with the employee. They said that it may have been a mistake but they would not refund the deposit. They would rather keep the $30 deposit than the $200 we were spending for the event. That makes a lot of sense... So good! We reserved a room for a buddy's bachelor party, and it was fantastic. We were in the room within minutes of arriving (the "Lit" party-themed room paying homage to local culture, being just down the street from ASU) and the employee was always a text away. After the first room we had such a great time that we had to do the second, which was even better! Walked in super excited to start our game for Santa's workshop. My husband had smoked a cigarettes prior to entering the facility. We were greeted and then asked if we had smoked. Now I had read the website and it spoke of not smoking marijuana or having alcohol nothing about cigarettes whatsoever. We were told we had to air out and only then we're we allowed to come back. That is 100% discrimination, nothing told me I couldn't smoke a cigarettes prior and the answer was "it is what it is" either do it or we can't come back. I will NEVER come back here again. I really also like the fact that they were eating over their computer screens and apparently customers aren't wanted here. Nice we will take our money elsewhere and I will make sure to let everyone know not to come here. read more

Came to this Escape the Room to celebrate a friend's bday prior to dinner and it was SO fun! Really enjoyed the experience and it was my favorite of the 3 Escape the Rooms I've been to so far! The "Lit" theme is perfect for its Tempe location given all the college students and young population. Love love loved the music and there were just so many fun, creative clues and twists. Won't say much more because I don't want to give anything away. Prices are very reasonable. Our host was awesome and he was super sweet and chatty. We loved it so much, that we came back twice within 24 hours! It was just myself and my bestie doing the escape room and we've never done one with just the two of us. It's very doable and still extremely fun! First we did the LIT room with Seth as our game master and he was very welcoming and answered all of our questions. We had so much fun that we booked our second room right after completing lit and got a 20% discount for booking right after. The next day we came back and did the date night disaster room with the owner as our game master. I'm so mad I forgot her name but she and her whole staff are SOOOO NICE and have such a FUN ENERGY! Inferno has a great vibe! When we arrived, we could tell that the room masters were very attentive watching the escapes currently underway but we were still greeted and assisted in a timely manner. Zander was our room master. He explained what we could expect very well and once we'd started we could tell we were being monitored closely. Anytime we got stuck or needed a bit of help, Zander was quick to respond while managing to stay in character. With only 2 people the LIT room was a bit of a challenge but, was still so much fun. The stories are well thought out and the puzzles and numerous and and challenging without feeling impossible. We did Lit with 4 people, one of whom is a young teenager. When you read reviews of escape rooms, don't just look at the 5 start positives, look at the negative reviews. Also look to see how many rooms that person has done. If it was their first room, it was probably incredible first time but for those who have done a lot rooms, it was probably meh. With that out of the way, I've done 40+ escape rooms across the country and Inferno knows what they are doing. Their puzzles are well thought out and unique. And the rooms don't feel like hash and repeats of other companies. We did both Inventors Secret and Lit and they were totally different. Also the waiting room bonus room is such a cool idea and such a cool add-on to do while you wait. Proud to say we set the record at 5 minutes and 36 seconds for the waiting room. Lit was by far the most unique and was like nothing I did before. Some of the puzzles we're really long and rewarding. Also the mechanic for getting clues was so cool. Inventors secret is more tech heavy and thematic. Some really cool unique puzzles. Really good attention to detail. We did them with 3 experienced people and other than getting stuck on lock that times out in Lit, we moved through them with just enough difficulty to feel challenged but not too much to the point where it seemed impossible. Same for inventors secret as well. I'd highly recommend their rooms for experienced and in experienced players alike. Go give these ASU grads your business! Go Devils! read more

My family and I had so much fun in the candy room, and Santa room. John, our game master, was incredibly witty, hilarious, and wanted to make it the best experience for our party as possible. I love this place! I came here twice with my parents and friends to play Lit and Burned Out. Everyone in my group really loved it, even my parents who were unsure what it was or if they'd enjoy it. The puzzles make sense, unlike a lot of other rooms I've played. And the themes of the rooms are more unique than anything I've seen and super entertaining and funny! I travel a lot so I've been to several other escape rooms in other states and the new Candy shop room here at Inferno ranks pretty high on my list in terms of design and effort put forth in creating the room. Zander was great along with other staff. Even though I experienced a small pricing discrepancy, they resolved the issue very quickly. Had one of the worst escape room experiences of my entire life playing the Christmas room. The room looked disgustingly cheap. It looked like it was built on a $50 budget over a weekend. Anytime I touched anything it looked like it was going to break. The walls are held up with rubber bands and a dream because if you even barely touched them they moved. Like, literally, the walls sway when you touch them. There must be a building code being violated there... Electrical wires just dangled between props and the outlets with no attempt to cover them up. Kids would definitely pull on them. I'm surprised no one has ever been electrocuted. The place looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. As far as the game is concerned, most of the puzzles were only fine but this room was way too easy for 90 minutes of gameplay and the higher price tag. My group of three finished the entire room in about 30 minutes, only needing a third of the time given. That just screams poor puzzle design. It honestly felt like a greedy ploy to get more money out of people. I don't understand how that room could take a regular group more than an hour unless they just sat there not doing anything and not asking for any kind of help from their cluemaster. I will say, the only redeeming factor of the visit was our cluemaster Audrey. She was lovely and quite literally the only reason I would ever consider going back here. My main criticism are directed towards the owners of this establishment because they have seriously dropped the ball. The quality of that room is NOT worth the $35 price tag. I have done about 100 escape rooms in the valley and this is the worst room I have done, especially at that price point. Save your time and money for an escape room that is actually good, cuz honey, this ain't it. read more
