We did the Mystery Mansion escape room. Downs- no bathroom or drinking fountain. Room got very warm while we were inside. Pluses- super fun, mentally challenging. Clue from host helped and we did well!!! We will go again read more

I loved this escape room! I went with 4 friends to celebrate a birthday and we did the lost tomb room. You get to choose if you want to play as villains or hero's which is a fun twist! We escaped with 11 minutes to spare. There were some tricky challenges and we did use 2 clues to help us. read more

We feel like we were ROBBED! Group of 6 did the Mystery Mansion. Everything started off fun. The whole point of the room was to find the "heart" The tv was so low it was hard to hear but the worst part was we found the heart within 30 seconds. The door to the heart was suppose to be locked still has the key in it and the lock wasn't even locked. So we did the whole game not knowing we already won I guess? Not only that the book shelve wasn't working even with the clue given to us and the gentleman has to come and push the books. Same with the guns. We had the right order and he has to come in and shake the guns to get it to clock the door. We ended the game with a loss and worker came and told us we needed to put the magnet key to the mirror to move the key which we did but there was no key!! Wanna know why? Because it was in the lock on the door where the heart was that we found in the first 30 seconds.... It just sucks that they were completely unorganized and we spent almost $200 on this.. read more

Getting there: Parking seems to be abundant at this shopping mall, but if you're going just for the escape room I would park in lot 4, which is really close to the entrance. Experience: I recently visited Escape Westgate with my mom, who's been really into escape rooms lately. We chose the candy factory room, and even though it was quite challenging with just two rooms to conquer, we had an absolute blast! The attention to detail and the creativity in crafting the puzzles was impressive. Many of the clues were a bit tough, and unfortunately we weren't able to solve it in time. read more

Our group of 7, family, tried the Shipwreck. It was fun but we felt like the hostess could have made our experience much better. She acted like she was tired or bored. Not much fun or excitement for that much money. We will try a different Escape room elsewhere next time because we want to do it again. read more

Disappointed that a party of two doesn't matter enough to them that they don't allow to book online. We had to wait a couple hours for them to open to hopefully THEN be possibly ALLOWED to book spots for the 12:15 slot that was totally open (10 spots) at 10am when I looked sooooo waited until 10:45 to leave our hotel and had to kill an hour. Went to Lolas, had to spend money there even though we ate breakfast at the hotel. They opened at 12 and the guy was nice but told us that the day was booked until 4:30, well that's a waste of my time and very upsetting so now Im expected to come back to an establishment that wants to make things difficult for me-- why?.. all because Im only going to spend $70 for two people for an hours worth of entertainment. Nope, thanks for nothing Escape Westgate. And dear Escape Westgate before your robot-like reply comes.. I know your policy.. your policy is that you only care about online booking a minimum of 4 people because $$$$$ my measly $70 isn't enough. So my measly little $70 can "walk in" (how kind of you) just to then be told nope.. come back in 5 hours because we didn't want to allow you the privilege of booking online. Honestly shame on you for only caring about the money!!! read more

Love this place. We had a group of three and our goal was to do every room they offered. And we completed them all over the course of months. Started with the easy Mystery Mansion and worked our way to the Candy Factory. The Candy Factory is probably our favorite! The employees are so nice! We knocked two rooms out this weekend and as we finished a room, they offered us to do the Mystery Mansion free of charge as they had recently updated it! And the updates to that room are really nice! Now we just need to do the Villians side of the Lost Tomb. We did do the Candy Factory room twice since we didn't make it out the first time and that didn't sit well with us. The employee even gave us a discount for our next attempt. Hopefully they change up the rooms again soon to be able to go back! read more

This was such a fun experience!!! I've always wanted to try out an escape room so me and a couple friends bought our tickets online and reserved a time. The staff was super nice and explained how it worked. We ended up making it out the escape room! We def want to try the other themes they have. Definitely recommend for a fun date night. read more

For the first time since COVID hit, we actually had an in person team builder. We decided to come down here and do an escape room. I had done a few escape rooms before, but never actually escaped! That changed today! We did the Mystery Mansion room and completed it in just about 40 minutes. We did use 2 of the 3 clues available, but looking back, could have probably figured it out with maybe one clue. The host/worker was nice and friendly and we had a great time. Would definitely recommend this place for a team builder and if you like to solve puzzles. Will definitely come back! read more

You have to go to escape westgate if you're in the area. We are a family of five with three small kids, ages 5, 7, & 8. The kids were pumped to go to an escape room after seeing similar experiences on YOU TUBE!! We registered the day before and showed up 15 minutes before our reservation. The crew cleaned the rooms for an hour prior to Re-use which was great. We did the tomb which was perfect for the kids. Lots of clues, secret doors, scary noises and challenging puzzles. Our 5 year old was very scared throughout but everyone else had a blast. Will go back in a year! read more

What a fun experience! We completed the Lost Tomb room, with time to spare, and had a great time. Our reservation for 5 started on time and we were alone in the room. The puzzle was fun and I loved the lights and special effects. It was a bit challenging, but the game master was able to assist as needed. I am from LA and while visiting a friend in AZ, we decided to do an escape room. I must say having being from LA, this escape room was one of the best escape rooms I have ever been too. My party of three, did the Lost Tomb escape room and although it was a bit hard for us ladies, we really enjoyed it ! We returned to this location to do the Lost Tomb escape room for my sons 14th birthday. It looks very cool. However, during our game the game masters had to stop the game and come in TWICE because they said it wasn't "reset" correctly. Which totally threw us out of the game and very much so ruined the experience. Especially since one of the things that wasn't reset correctly was a scratchpad tablet that still had the previous teams answer to the final clue on it!! It was very disappointing. We have done other games here and they were great, but this one was an absolute disaster and a horrible experience. They didn't even offer to discount the game or a future game. They did nothing to rectify their mistake. Very disappointed. (Please note I am writing this review well after our game date on 5/29/2021. After waiting for an email or some sort of communication from them) **UPDATE** I spoke with their general manager, Amanda, today and they are making up for the situation. Went here on a field trip with daughter and class and we did the lost tomb escape room which was really cool , It has multiple rooms and definitely a lot of intricate clues you need to solve . It was a little difficult but with 10 of us we were able to get through it with 20 minutes left which was pretty quick. This is definitely good for kids and adults , great props and design put into this . Can't wait to try the terminator room next . read more

First off, I LOVE escape rooms, abd this was our first time at this one. We did the Terminator room the last weekend it was available. It was a good immersive experience with some really cool effects but some of the puzzles were waaay more confusing then necessary, and some things didn't work (like keys that were correct wouldn't turn, or buttons would stick) so that was a bit frustrating. I feel like the game runner should have said something sooner when we were struggling with correct items, but I did think they were overall really nice and friendly and did help when we asked. Perhaps since it was the last weekend of the game was why certain items didn't work as well. I'm definitely willing to check them out again, despite the glitches. read more

Excellent adventure! We came here with 4 adults and two teenagers and had an awesome time. We did the mine themed escape room. The "room" was actually a series of rooms and the decor was on point. The decorations and effects really made the adventure. The employee who led us into the room only helped when we asked for a clue (which is great) and gave great instructions going in. For my first escape room, this place hit it out of the park! My group of 4 did two different escape rooms, the mineshaft one and another one (i think haunted mansion or something like that). I definitely recommend the mineshaft one, there's like 5 different rooms that open the further into the puzzle you get and the overall experience was great. Staff was super friendly too! We used up all 3 clues and my boyfriend shouted "if you tell us another hint I'll give you a hug" and the guy took him up on the offer The haunted mansion one was mostly a single room with a smaller closet-sized room that opens during the puzzle. It was still fun, be careful with any pranks the employees might play on you! When I go to an escape room I look for a few things that set it apart from other rooms I have been to. One, staff has to be nice and welcoming. Two, theming is critical. Three, it has to be challenging. When you go to an escape room there is already a feeling of anticipation and anxiety. The staff needs to keep that going, make my family feel like it is going to be fun, and give us the rundown of rules and give us the theming into. This place had very nice staff and the manager was very cool. He introduced the Terminator 2 room and let us know we would be working with John Connor. That leads me to the theme of the room. There is no question that this is the best set design I have ever seen in an escape room. Sound, visual and video effects, and even smells were well done. Obviously the fun of an escape room includes being surprised, so I don't want to share much about it. But there are Hollywood quality props that were really cool. This room was very challenging. It is hard to share any information here other than to say it was difficult. We needed hints throughout. And we were completely stumped by a few of the puzzles. Did we complete it in the allotted time? That is between us and the game master. Overall we were very very happy attending this escape room. We can't wait to come back and check out the tomb or Bill and Ted's excellent adventure room. read more

You seriously might consider redesigning this room to make it harder...and...more fun? This is not a "bad room", just... In the lower half of rooms I've done (around 15). I recently did the Terminator 2 Escape room with my husband and a few of our friends, we had a blast doing the room together. The amount of details in the room was pretty amazing, you really felt as if you stepped into a Terminator movie. Our game master was named Jacob, and he did a wonderful job explaining the rules, what to expect and letting us know if we needed help we could request a hint. The hints were a gentle nudge without giving anything big away which was nice. We finished at the last second and managed to beat the room, one second later and we would have lost. The hour went by quickly because we were having a lot of fun. I highly suggest checking out this Escape Room if you haven't. read more

My Husband and I Ferris Bueller'd our 15 year old nephews out of school yesterday and took them here. None of us had done an escape room before so we booked the Mystery Mansion as it was listed as beginner. We all had such a great time. We had three clues available to us and used all three. We weren't sure we'd be able to solve the mystery but we made it with 3 mins 10 seconds to spare. I'm sure glad we booked the beginner room and had success our first time out instead of trying a harder room and maybe not making out in time. We were so happy that our nephews had a great time. One of them couldn't stop talking about it on the way home. It was awesome. When do you get a 15 year old to talk about something other than video games? We'd definitely go back again and maybe try one of their harder rooms. The employees were super nice as well. The lady up front wished us luck and Austin, our guide, was very friendly and helped us out along the way with the clues. The one down side is they don't have restrooms but the mall restrooms are super close just outside and down the hall. read more

The experience at escape Westgate has been awesome. Did one escape room on Friday and our game host was Jarred who had a great personality and was funny making the experience even more enjoyable. We then came back to do the other room Sunday with Jarred again as our host and yet again he did a great job. I've been to a few Escape Rooms this past week, it's been a new hobby... & this by far was the easiest & silliest one. The entire room was set up very neat! We had the Tomb Escape Room.. our groups personal ordeal was we got over 15 clues. Never asked for any & they kept coming. We didn't really get to solve it ourselves because they sent all the answers through the screen. As in, literal answers "do this or do that". Always a fun experience when going with random people. You get to meet new faces & expect it to be challenging. The front desk staff was very slouchy & didn't seem to really care for their job. Not sure we'll be back, but escape rooms in general are a crazy idea when ya think about it. Being in a "locked" room by bad management, telling you what to do... crazy when you look it at that way!
